I want just the radio ROM, I get dropped calls a lot- but not just dropping, the antenna cuts out, and resets. I am running OS 2.24 and ROM 2.25 (I am using the custom version). Problem has been happening since 2.17 version, and having read though a few items, I thought i would try to run Radio ROM 1.08 or 1.09, seemed to solve a friends issue, but they don't have the ROM anymore. Anyone able to send it my way?

First, this is a known issue (there is a thread 10 pages long about it) see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=53432
Second, you can not use a 1.x Radio Rom with 2.x Bootloader and vice-versa.
Third, per the thread I referred you to the problem is not the Radio Rom but rather the connection method some programs (i.e. Agile Messenger & PocketWeater 1.3.x) use.
Please use the search function before starting a new thread about an existing issue.
Sorry thanks for the input! I normally browse over at Howard's Forums and this problem creeps up often with no fix- assumed those over there check over here since there are so many blank threads overthere with this issue.

I have problems with network. It happens that when i look at my phone he has network but when someone try to contact me he is getting message that i am not available. If i try to call i can do it and after i make call if someone call me i am available. It is not non stop like that, but it is making problems because i don't know when i am not available.
All the time i have network on my phone.

Downgrading you're radio rom to 2.19.11 fixes the missed call issues.
But i saw this
2.x Radio Roms are for use with 2.x Bootloaders only.
They don't work with 1.x Bootloaders (IPL/SPL Versions 1.x). The good news is that since it doesn't dork your BootLoader if you goof you can still reflash with your original Rom and recover your device or use the Cingular 1.09.10 Radio Only Rom included here.

I updated my Cingular 8125 to WM6 Faria edition and installed the radio patch 02.61.11; however, for the past 3 days people have been sending me text message as well as calling me and leaving me voicemails which do not come in.
I do not know if this is due to the radio version i installed, so i thought i'd asked you guys and see if anyone knows of a more stable version.
Any suggestions will be appreciate it!

All radio roms above 2.19.11 have missed call and sms issues with WM6! The best one for WM6 so far is 2.19.11! Try it; it should fix your problem. Keep on mind the reception is not as good as later roms.
In the next few days i was going to make a thread to try to unify all the "problems with WM6 on Cingular" and "missing calls, no voicemail notification" threads into one thread. This seems to be a major issue but is largely Cingular specific.
The goal of the thread will be to focus on why radios over 2.19 (including Cingular's own 2.25) get the issue and what can be done to fix it and allow upgraded radios. Be it registery fixes, .dll replacement, or perhaps even cracking open and comparing radio roms.
The thread will NOT be about "I have this problem what do I do???" nor will be about solving issues with providers other then Cingular. However any good leads or fixes may aid in helping others with other providers.
also 2.40 is good for fones that arent cingular...been alot of cingular problems but t-mo is working just fine woth it

I looked for it in the FTP site but they dont have the US version of it ( ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Wizard/Radio_Roms/ ) I was wondering if you happend to know of a site where i can download that version of the radio so i can try it on my phone.
I'll keep searching around anyways but thanks a lot for the heads up!

There is no US version of the 2.19 radio that I know of. You just use the UK one on the ftp site (thats what I've been running for about 3 months now and it works fine on Cingular here in the US).

Thank you for clearing that out for me. I went ahead and downloaded T-Mobile-UK_2.19.11_Radinly.zip and when i try to run the ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe in order to start flashing my phone, I get the following error message:
ERROR [300]: INVALID UPDATE TOOL
This update utility cannot be used for yoru PDA phone. Please get newer update utility.
Any idea why would i get this error message?

I'm a newbie to this forum so I took my time before actually opening this topic and read through most of the stuff around here, also tried searching to see if anyone had the same question as me but couldn't find anything, so, here it goes.
I just recently got a T-Mobile MDA (the wizard) and I seem to be having problems with receiving phone calls. If the phone goes idle for long enough the calls just don't go through, but, if I call someone then for a period of time they do come in just as normal. Is this a known problem to the device? Has anyone else had this same issue?
I've tried contacting both T-Mobile and HTC but neither was of any help yet. The phone is running on WM6, with a ROM that I can't really tell which is (it's the one that loads with a BOOM! written on the startup screen, maybe that helps?).
The phone has been master reseted and the problem goes on, sim card changed, all the stuff. My question is:
Anyone know if this could be a problem related to the ROM of the WM6 i'm running? Or anyone just have a clue of what could be the problem or ways to fix it?
I was going to go through an upgrade / change of ROM but thought would be best to ask first and see if it's necessary so I don't take unecessary risks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what is your radio rom?
2.19 seems to be most stable with wm6's.
The Radio version I have is a 2.25.11 (shown on device information)
ROM Version 11.0.0.0 if that means anything.

I just finished upgrading the phone to a TNT 6.1 "It's right" ROM, that Professional TouchFlo one, and yet, the problem seems to continue.
I'm guessing that I'm really SOL on this one and that it's a phone hardware issue then? And also, guessing that HTC wouldnt help me since it's moded?
Should I try to downgrade to the T-Mobile original software and maybe hope that it works better there?
If anyone has any input or advice it would be greatly appreciated.

How do I change my radio rom? Is it just updating with another rom of WM6? Like trying another different or do I need to do something specific?
I know it's not supposed to be advertising or suggesting a specific rom here in the forum but I really have no idea what could be a stable one that I could give a try.
In the replies a 2.19 is mentioned but I tried searching the forum and didn't find an answer, could someone give me a hand please?

Sorry about the truoble. I did try searching all over the place on this issue and only came up short on most. Got a lot of responses but it seemed like none was very decisive or without a good explanation.

If I install the 2.19 radio only as joemanb suggests, will it reset all my programs and setting back to factory? in other words, do I loose everything as if I'm doing a ROM update?
had the same problem, i dont remember what radio rom i had, some1 suggested to changed to 71, didnt work, and then in a thread that was very similar to this one, a guy suggested to the creator to use 2.19.11, who then was very thankful because it worked. gave it a try, and now im looking for that thread to say thanks and report that the problem is long gone!
So yes, try 2.19.11, i downloaded it from the very first post of the radio upgrade thread, the one thats says for europe. And no, you wont lose everything, its only a RADIO rom change, things related to the phone settings not the PDA.

Just wanted to say a big thank you, I indeed used the 2.19 as recommended and it worked to perfection. No more missed calls and surprisingly, my reception actually got a lot better so I'm now a very happy customer. It also diminished by a lot the problem I had with ending short calls or stopping it before going through.

This issue should be mentioned in some sticky, im guessing we are not the only ppl with this problem..
I am, obviously, a noob. Please forgive my ignorance. I've searched around for posts dealing with this issue but cannot seem to find any.
I have flashed my ATT 8525 with HardSPL in preparation of trying out some ROMs. Well, ever since I did the flash, I've noticed that I nolonger have an Edge data connection. It has defaulted to the GPRS. I was hoping that maybe the flash just caused it to rename the E to a G but I do not think that is the case. I have noticed a difference in speed (G being slower than E). Is there a radio I can flash to get my E(dge) connection back?

I managed to flash with the 1.54.30.10 radio and everything seems to be working. Apologies for wasting your time.

Check your Radio ROM version... it might went back and EDGE support is only after 1.27.00
Hello mates,
I updated my i-mate Jasjar to WM6.1 ROM by Ranju and a few others. The update is successful and everything works fine but my cellular connection just doesn't work. My sim card (smartchip) is not detected. Ranju's ROM doesn't let me open the communication manager. Another ROM stays forever on flight mode and I can't even change it.
I live in India just for the record if the Smartchips in India might make a difference. I'm totally clueless on what to do.
Couldn't find any post relevant to this.

my bet would be a radio rom incompatibility, but im not sure.
what radio are you using? it seems that higher wm6 builds require certain radios or something.

Radio rom. It's part of uni software that is responsible for gsm module (and everything related). You can flash your radio rom the same way you flash any rom. Just use flashing software (ROMUpgradeUT). Though you will need radio_.nbf instead of nk.nbf when flashing radio.

Personally I would recommend 1.18.00. I'm using this one currently, and is working just fine. Though, you can just experiment a little with different radio roms, and find which one is working best with your device.
Actually ROMUpgradeUT IS something like a setup to flash your device, and there is no easier way to flash device. Only thing you need is to place ROMUpgradeUT somewhere along with radio_.nbf and run ROMUpgradeUT.
Anyway just read this: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Uni_ROM_Upgrade ,and there should not be any problems for you (at least with flashing).
Also, make sure to spend some time reading universal wiki, if you are new for Windows Mobile and uni.
