Check Notifications Program
Check out
http://www.scarybearsoftware.com/ppc_cn_overview.html
for the Scary Bear's software utility that eliminates repeated reminders due to soft resets and other Windows problems. It deletes the problems in red and it usually works for me to help with the reminders and alarm problems.
It says it works for 2003 but I use it on my Atom and it seems to work fine.
I hope this helps!
Thanks Pelicantacos for the tip.will try it
cheers

on my XDA Exec (O2 ROM 1.30.162 WWE for last 2 months) these stopped working about 2wks ago....
Yes, in settings>personal>sounds and notification I have set for playing sounds etc etc etc...and yes, I set reminder when creating new appointments /tasks...
So...any idea why no longer working?????
It's a known "feature" of this OS. Use search for this problem with suggested solutions. None of these solutions worked for me (on my T-Mobile USA MDA).
I had to Hard Reset to get my notifications back. But I lost them again within 2 weeks. I will hard reset again whenever I get some free time.
When I ran into this same problem I also tried a couple solutions, MemMaid didn't work for me and I screwed up my device (lost the ability to ActiveSync) when I ignorantly deleted all sorts of stuff using the Scarey Bear Check Notifications tool. What did work for me was the trial version of SKTools, it has a delete duplicate notifications type tool. If the problem shows up again I'll just purchase SKTools.
I was the same problem a fem weeks ago, and my solutions was program Check Notifications. When I dowloaded this program a readed only about support for WM2003SE, but work on WM05 well.
I deleted automaticky every bad notifications in first time, but nothings happened a and my Qtek was still NO-SOUNDS :-(
I tried delete every RED notifications in check list, and I deleted every old notifications in this list in second time. I was delete this manually! After soft reset my QTEK 'again start talking '
here you have cab file for tring my solution

Great..........worked for me - I just deleted the red reminders twice (for some reason) and it started working again. Must be a corrupt remider or something.
Thanks for the pointers
Just some additional info for future reference.. I downloaded the CheckNotifications.CAB file (thanks for posting!) and removed all duplicates.. but still no reminders..
Eventually, I did the following, and I don't what fixed it but it may help others!
* Using CheckNotifications, deleted all duplicates
* Using CheckNotifications, deleted all references using Calendar.EXE
* Soft Reset
* Deleted Duplicates (again!)
Sync'd via ActiveSync, then whilst connected did the following:
* Removed ALL Calendar entries for the current month
* Entered a test notification
* Waited for the Notify to fire...
Success.
I think it was something to do with corrupt Calendar entry or some sort in my case; either way using the above fixed it for me, so may help someone else reading this in the future. (probably me, when it goes wrong 6 months down the line..!!)
I'm having a phantom alarm issue. I have an alarm that goes off at 03:02 every day, it's driving me nuts!
Yes, I looked in all the obvious places, no alarms are set for that time anywhere.
I think SpbBackup is the culprit since this is the time I had auto back-up scheduled. Thing is, SpbBackup is no longer installed and all traces of it are gone!
Help... pls... I don't want to hard reset.
Check Notifications Software
Check out this webpage, http://www.scarybearsoftware.com/cn_overview.html
Download the file, put on your PDA and see if this helps. It has helped me in the past when I've gotten these phantom alarms. It says it only works for WM2003, but I've used it on WM5 and it seems to work fine--though use at your own risk.
I hope this helps!!
Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my sent message notification always sounding. I have done all the registry tweaks, with changing the Microsoft > Inbox etc to 1 to disable it, but that didn't work for me after soft resets and everything. There was another one that I tried that also didn't work.
Please can you give me any help you can,
Thanks

Hmmm.... never heard of this accessory. Wonder where you buy it from?
Well, if I'm not wrong, your SMS notification may not work too.
Anyway, you use either Scary Bear Check Notifications or others.. like.. TaskManager, MemMaid, Pocket Mechanic, etc to remove old notifications that are causing the problems. Perform a backup before doing anything
I have similar problems .. and I think I solve it by removing all the notification (accidentally), but a soft reset seems to have refreshed them. But, it may not work in yours, so again Perform a backup before doing anything.
Just try `Check Notification` first.
Been using my XDA Atom for almost a year now and everyhing worked perfectly. I can say this is the best phone I know and had...
However, just last month the alarm/ reminder on my calendar did not work all of a sudden.
when you key in reminders with alarm notifications the reminders does not pop up or does not even alarm. Ive placed the phone to vibrate to test if the alarm is working but still doesn not function.
Hope somebody can help on this one...
Thanks!

maybe software problem. isolating the case is needed. A few questions to answer.
1.what ROM are you using?
2. did you recently installed any software prior to the event that alarm is not working?
3. last time you did a soft reset and check the alarm problem?
hard reset will always be the last resort to try and see if problems is fixed
Charles is my friend. He installed Pocket Informant, that's when his Pocket Outlook alarms stopped functioning. I've uninstalled PI for him and checked his notification settings, then did a soft reset. Still no go. I've never encountered this type of problem from installing PI before.

bai,
registry could have been damaged. "sometimes" eventhough we have uninstall the program, it leaves/alteres the registry. try a HR if it will fix the problem
