Battery life fix??

Hi everyone,
I don't really post much on here, but I've been lurking around for ages & finding this place very useful for modding my MDA Compact II. Thanks for that!
I've been looking for a while for some sort of battery fix?
I've had the same battery for about a year now & decided that it was time for a new one. So I got myself one ordered from T-Mobile in the US & had it shipped over (not cheap!).
I put it in my phone & charged it for 48 hours then started to use it, unfortunately it only lasted about 6 hours!? So I contacted T-Mobile & they sent me a new one.... Same problem!?
So I'm beginning to think its the SW?
I'm running the new HTC Touchflow OS with a few other bells & whistles!
Can anybody suggest a fix please! I don't want to have to buy a new one!
Thanks.
Who told you to charge it for 48 hours? That doesnt even make sense with this kind of battery. Try to discharge it and charge it to 100% again.
Yeah strange hey?
Yeah I've tried that a few times but still the same rubbish battery life??
The battery is a PM16A if that helps??
I read somewhere a while back (Probably here), that your battery life could be affected when you update the ROM? IE: If it is not fully charged when you update.
Is this the case, is there a WM6 fix for this??
Thanks....
Its doubtful to be a software problem. You can of course try flashing to WM5, then again to WM6, see if it helps.

RE: Extended Life Batteries

RE: Extended Life Batteries
Anyone have any suggestions for extended life batteries that dont require a new or larger cover for my att tilt? I searched ebay, but im always a bit afraid to buy one of those batteries, with my luck it may explode and melt my leg or something
thanks!
There is a massive thread already on this topic. I’d advise you to sift through it until you find exactly what you want. Looks like you have alot to sift through. Good luck!:

Poor Battery Life

Hello there,
i was wondering if anyone else is angered about the poor battery life of the Jade. I mean I cannot even go through a day without charging the phone?! Is that normal? or is my battery just damaged? I just got the phone last week.
Thanks for your answers.
Frank
dude, this is the 3rd consecutive post regarding battery life.

I'm now using Elfin, I want to trade in my elfin and get the jade.
Just a silly question, can the battery in elfin be used in jade?
I have 3 now! (1350mah) If yes, then I can save money to buy new extra batteries!

Buttery Broken??

Hello guys I wanted to ask you some info on the battery of my kaiser.
Then I have the original battery, I believe it are running low because very little hard, but I wanted to ask if there is a way to actually verify that the battery is dying? Software or another type?
Second thing I wanted to ask is: if (very likely) that the battery is truly exhausted could you advise me to buy what I read around the 2800mAh battery cmq or enhanced, or Li-Pon if not mistaken other than Li-ion battery. ...... Can you give me some advice??
Thanks
Amazon has some good finds for extended batteries
can you provide a link. i need a new battery

Best Battery for HTC HD2?

I bought my HD2 used and the battery doesn't really get me through the whole school day, (8-4:30ish) even if I don't really do anything on it, it drains pretty quickly. I've conditioned it and everything, but I think the best things to do would be to buy a new battery.
I'd like to buy from eBay or a reputable online retailer.
Does anyone have any great stories with any batteries?
Make sure out have the apps Juice Defender Pro, Screebl, and SetCpu (with a profile to run the processor at the minimum when screen is off). With these, plus official extended battery, I get between 24 and 36 hours on my HD2.

I use Typhoon CM7 NAND Android on my HD2 and I get easily through 2.5-3 days with moderate use (WiFi included) - my avg stand by is 2-3mA but sometimes it even goes to 1mA (rarely but it does).
You shld get rid of wm if you have it and make your HD2 worth it!!!!
I bought a battery which shoul have 1600 mAh but so big like the normal HTC battery with 1230 mAh.
I didn't feel that I had more capacity, it didin't hold longer than with the normal one.
So i bought the original HTC HD2 Power Battery with 2400mAh and it was awesome. I could easy work with the phone for 2 days without loading and i make a lot with it.
The disadvantage of the Power Battery is that its nearly twice as big as with the normal, but i love it to work with the phone without looking on the battery percentage
If want long work time and size does not matter - original with 2400mAh. And no "chinese" batteries with increased capacity.
dot bother with the ecell battery its a waste of time

I'm not doubting that that's an excellent battery, but when you got the 0mA reading you appeared to be charging the phone and 2 days isn't really that hard to manage if you only use the phone moderately. Also don't forget that the ROM itself will have some effect on the results.
you can buy several backup batteries for emergency
