Alarm problem after using bluetooth/A2DP - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

I didn't wake up this morning since my alarm didn't sound. Boss not happy
I reset the alarm several times to test it and I changed the volume etc to see if anything worked. All other sounds worked, like rings, sms, and the menu clicks etc.
Thing is, I recently bought a bluetooth headset (Plantronics Pulsar 590A) and while I was using them and had them paired I tried the alarm again and this time I heard it. I the switched off the bluetooth and now the alarm was working again. Was the alarm trying to sound via bluetooth even though it wasn't activated? Anyone else had similar problems?

Another alarm problem

I am continuing to have problems with the built in alarms on my xda exec. I initially had problems with the alarm not switching off which sorted itself although I am not sure how, and all was well for a time. Now when my alarm sounds it vibrates once but doesn' sound the alarm. I have pocketzen phone so have tried with this off but no success. My sounds and notifications are all ticked.
Does anyone have any ideas what else I could try?
Also does anyone know of any 3rd party alarm, pref freeware, which I can try instead?
I have the same experiences w/ my Dopod 900

Bluetooth Static When Answering Calls

I have a Cingular 8125 paired with a Plantronics 320. When I answer an incoming call with my bluetooth headset, the other party hears static while the headset establishes a connection. Once the connection is ready, the static disappears. It only lasts for a second or so, but is highly annoying to the other party. Has anyone else experienced this or have a solution? This also happens with my old Tekkeon BT headset, so I know it is a phone issue. Thanks!
Are you using both ring and vibrate at the same time? Perhaps a custom ringtone?
If so, I have had the same situation. Unfortunately, the only solution at the moment that I know of is to turn off the vibrate, or don't use Bluetooth.
I submitted this to HTC a while back after experiencing it on my 8125, and an 8125 I had to replace it.
EDIT: I've only tested it with two 8125's, and a Samsung WEP150 and Motorola H810 (I think) headsets..
Also, as an experiment, try calling yourself from another phone, and answer with the headset. What you'll likely notice is that the static goes away as soon as the vibrating stops.
sk0t. Thanks for the reply and info. It sucks that we have to disable vibrate. I'll give it a shot and see if I don't blow out my friends' eardrums.
*UPDATE*
That did the trick. Thanks.

Suspected it might. It certainly does suck that we have to disable vibrate when using a BT headset. Drives me nuts actually.
When I went through and discovered this (haven't seen reference to the issue anywhere in my searches), I had tested with something like 3 different headsets and two 8125's.. Was able to duplicate it every time once I figured out what the cause was.. Very very strange..
I just hope that HTC can do something with this issue on these phones..
Wish I had found this thread a couple of weeks ago. I went through 3 Plantronics 510 headsets and two Cingular 8125 before making the discovery that the problem was tied to the vibrate ringer setting.
One thing I've done--since I'd still like the vibrate feature--is you can set the ringer to "vibrate then ring". I just have to make sure I don't pick up while the handset is vibrating--which isn't too hard since that usually is just the first caller's ring.
Another think I found when troubleshooting: if I put my handset in another room and pick up incoming calls everything is fine. Seems like the vibration needs to be in proximity to the headset for this problem to occur.
hmm i just got my bt headset and was told of the static...
thanks for the info guys will deff turn of the vibration to see if that prevents the static when answering a call

Kaiser & Jawbone (or other Bluetooth Headsets), Ringing Behaviours

Hi
just got a new Jawbone (after realising my faithful Parrot Minikit didn't work very well with my Vario III) which is working nicely with my Vario III, MS Voice Command working properly and the quality seems to be very good. One piece of curious behaviour though is the phone ringing. When a call comes in the Jawbone rings but the phone only vibrates. I can't get both the phone and the Jawbone to ring - this is annoying because whilst its a pretty comfortable headset I dont want to wear it all the time in the car or whenever its connected.
Can anybody confirm this also happens with theirs? The only thing I have that could possibly be messing it up is SPB Phone Suite
Many thanks
Dave
Unfortunately, this is normal behavior.
thats a shame, I was hoping it wasn't meant to be that way. Anyway the Jawbone may have to go as its pretty quiet even after adjusting the volume settings.
thanks

just done a hard reset, paired the Jawbone and now both ring on an incoming call! Now got to start adding the progs back one by one to see what the issue is, this could take some time...

Interesting. Let us know!
actually i just reinstated a backup from the night before as a test and its working as I wanted still (both headset and Jawbone ringing). I dont know whats changed.
The only difference is that before the reset the Jawbone ringing tone was the phones tone (a wav file, or MP3 I cant remeber which!) and now it just blips three times while the phone rings its proper ringtone.
Either way everything currently working as it should (although I expect it to go wrong again soon!)

X1 Speaker intermitted stops working w/R3AA

I have the X1i with generic_uk R3AA010 and found that sometimes (about 5 times now since install) the speaker does not play a sound!
I fix that by turning the media player on and play a music and then after a short cracking it starts playing the sound again.
But if an alarm would sound or the phone would ring... no sound would be heard.
Anybody else experiencing this or might it be a hardware failure?
Almost sure that with the R2AA it did not do that!
PS
I think it happens after a Reminder Alarm went off....!
yes the same problem here, so annoying I was just ringtones off. I fixed it doing a hard reset ... I've had this trouble at least 4 times, and I think that it always happens next to charge it (not by computer), is it the same for you?
Do you have MS Voice Command installed??? I do!
So far I have isolated it to happen right after a Reminder Alarm went off.
I don't know if that is the reason alone or combined with the fact that I also have MS Voice Command installed. It could be that the phone does not know WHERE to play the Reminder Alarm and perhaps that messes up the speaker output...?
So it would be interesting if YOU too have voice command.

Alarm sound not functioning properly help!

Hey,
Since I've had this phone I've overslept way too much, when the alarm goes off the sound is quiet although my alarm volume is turned all the way up. Now when the alarm is going off and I unlock my phone the sound instantly shoots up. I tried to disable v4a, but the issue still continues. I stream spotify to my Bluetooth speaker overnight. And the alarm goes through that and my phone speaker at the same time..? I used to have a z5 and when the alarm would go off the Bluetooth music would cut out and the alarm would only come through my phone speaker.
It's a serious issue, I don't know how to possibly fix this.
Its been like this since out of the box, had like 3 factory resets since, for unlocking bootloader and such so that won't help
