What version of WM2003 you are using?
Did you setup your network band setting? click phone/tool/option/band 900/1900.
See my post on this: you might have to change back the band with Bootloader/Calendar button: if you change something under the Tab Band in Phone settings, you can not use your phone anymore (in Europe). Don't ask me why, I had the same problem. If I don't touch the Phone Setting menu, everything works.
Hello..
I am using version 4.2.1081 (build 13100) and I did choose the 900 network for Europe... but still no work
And the worst of all.. Unfortunately no backup.
Did you choose the 900-band with the bootloader/calendar option or through the phone/settings menu? i could only change it with the bootloader, I have the same version as you have.
Hi Rick
Right now, looking through forum, to find out what the bootloader method is.. Can you enlighten me??
Thanks in advance
The same my XDA 3 weeks ago
http://xda-developers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1687&start=100
Note: have to HOLD the JOYSTICK for confirmation of the selected band then soft reset

Hi OCMAX,
Do you know the way to set the Maxis GPRS in WM2003.
I had tried two ways but it doesn't work at all after the upgrading:
First setting
-------------
1. Modem : Cellular Line
2. Number : +0~GPRS!net
Second setting
----------------
1. Modem : Cellular Line (GPRS)
2. Access point name: net
The username and password for both setting are maxis and wap.
Would you please share your experience ? Thanks !
Regards,
Vince

WM 2003 no service after bootloader
Hi
I am affraid that this didn´t work.. I did this.
1. Through the bootloader I choose GSM 900 using the joystick
2. Did a softreset to quit the bootloader.
3. Still no GSM service
Any more ideas I can try??
Thanks in advance
Lars
@Lars
Try again GMS 900/1800 (900 BAND- no working in my XDA)
Good luck!
Hi..
No I am affraid this didn´t help..
I read somewhere that you had to hold down the joystick whilst doing the reboot, is this so...

I had the same problem and I switched back to the old radio version and now it works...
I think the radio upgrade does not work in Europe. Since in the US they have 900/1900 band and in the EU 900/1800. I'm a little bit confused because also the 900 carriers (here in Germany two: TMO and vodafone (D2) are not detected. Why?

Went you in the bootloader band selection. scroll down to the setting using your joystick and push the action button (center of the joystick).
1) select the network 900/1800 or 900/1900 and push action button
2) select to ON the GSM and push action button
It will prompt you when done.
You need to go to the O2 site and down load the European radio stack 4.21. You can't use a US radio stack on a European XDA and vice versa. The O2 4.21 stack will install from an .exe so it is easy to do and it workd with the WME 2003 4.00.10.
Do you know their site.. have searched on Google wo result !!
Cheers,
Lars

I have a sawa (Saudi Arabia) sim card on my jam. i put the settings given over here ( http://www.mms.net.sa/Templates/productList.aspx?postingId=58&id=5 ). My phone connects to gprs but I cannot send mms,I recieve mms notification but i cannot download it. Is there any problem with my phone
this is probably already mentioned here somewhere.. but the earlier versions of the jam rom had an issue with MMS and required a patch for rom 1.03 and 1.06 versions. the later versions of the rom dont require the patch anymore, and they are probably easier to find then the MMS patch. mind you im assuming you have an imate jam.
SpeedN
My rom version is 1.12.00 WWE, Radio Version 1.12.10, ExtROM version 1.12.128 WWE.I think I also put the settings update from the club imate website
Hi,
I have a TyTn which refuses to send SMS messages. It can receive messages but when I try to send it hangs and after a few minutes kicks me out to the PIN login screen. I've checked that the SMS service number is correct etc.
The SIM also works perfectly in my other phones. All other features voice, data etc are working.
My details:
WM6 Pro
5.2.1437 (Compil. 17944.0.3.1)
ROM Version: Schap's 4.31.
Date: 10/03/07
Radio: 1.48.00.10
Protocol: 32.81.7020.20H
Any ideia do solve the problem?
Thanks in advance.
Please, I have a Pocket PC Cingular 8525 (Hermes 100, WM6.1) I can connect to the network through the WiFi, but I can not connect to the Internet (not navigation) . Computer cable, it connects well. Would you advise me how to configure. Thank you
For your information I live in Morocco
Rom : Schap's 4.31
ROM Date : 10/03/2007
radio version: 1.16.00.00
protocole version: 32.53.7018.01H
Try installing the "Connection Setup" application. Under Morocco, I see:
- Maroc Telecom
- Meditel
- Telecom
Maybe this helps?
Also update your rom! I suggest CRC v13; it has the Connection Setup app bundled.
