Problems with installing PHMregedit/PHM programs!!!!?

Hi all,
I tried to install PHMregedit and other PHM programs (power toys, tray launch, ...) but installation failed!
Every time same story with all phm programs, active sync dont wanna install program and i got the screen like im allready installed that program (but i have no phm software on jasjar)!

i tried to find .cab install files, but no result.... any idea for this problem?? I really need tray launch, maybe someone knows other traylaunch similar to phm!?

try it, u will probably like it! the best thing for me is traylaunch, u can add anything to tray next to default batt,ldscape and comm icons, very, very usefull!

I tried it but, I can't seem to figure out how to assign it to launch something. Can you give me an example.

settings/system/admin tools - select traylaunch!
-enable traylaunch (tick)
-Add
...and now u got to type target, for example write:
/Windows/Fexplore.exe
and u'll got explorer's icon in tray, on that way u can add anything! if u dont know location of program find it first with explorer, the most of wm5 programs r in windows directory!!

Customize HTC EndKey??

Hey there,
I'm owning a variant of HTC Nike at the moment, where HTC EndKey is preinstalled in the ROM. Right now it is assigned to lock the device. This is nice, but since this device sports a biotouch display it would be even nicer if this long press would invoke Slide2Unlock2.
The long press starts EndKey.exe. But since this is a protected file, i cannot simply replace this.
Does anybody know a way to or replace EndKey.exe (without customizing the rom and flash it) OR invoke an other executable by HTC Endkey.

I managed to overwrite the endkey.exe with resco explorer ... very nice.

Hi is there a way to uninstall Endkey?
because after Unsinstall there is a message, that it coult not be uninstalled correctly and if I want to delet it from the Uninstall-list.
But the Button at the Homescreen is still endkey and not Contacts as normal.
P.S sorry for my terrible english

What did you overwrite it with?
Did you just take another program and rename it "endkey.exe" and then copy it into \Windows ?
And if endkey.exe just takes over the right soft key, there are other ways to remap the right softkey, e.g. DotFred's SoftKeyKeyAppletEx.cpl.

Hmmm - I just installed Endkey and then went to Remove Programs and it removed fine for me (on Tilt). Did you try doing Soft Reset to see if it goes away then?

How the hell i supposed to remove deleted programs shorcut/copy on
\windows\startup folder
When i restart my ppc, program starts automaticlly,
then it cant be removed.

cant u just go into the task manager and kill the process then remove it from the startup folder?

Taskmanager (WisBar Advance 2) doesnt find that program/process...
Any ideas?

shortcut to games folder?

hi folks,
have spent most of the day searching the forum and must be missing this
is there a way to create a shortcut that will open the games folder? wanting to use with slithers c++ cube

cheers for the assistance I tried that one, the link comes up as intrusted / unsigned
works fine as a direct link through programs , just not through the cube

there must be a way to shortcut to a specific folder???

if you read the actual 051 thread, slither discusses this many times and says it won't be available until 052

I think it involves passing a parameter to fileexplorer...

create a link to your file explorer
tap and hold
select properties
add '-windows\start menu\games' to the end of the link so you should end up with something like
program files\file explorer.exe -windows\start menu\games

cheers for the help folks, still no go.
will have to see if slither can resolve in the next release

I got it wrong, no '-' before the address
"fexplore.exe" windows\start menu\programs\Games
exactly as above in the properties of any .LNK will do it

cheers mate but vust links to the 'my device' page on file explorer no matter what i do.
have looked into and edited folderview.exe so it should route to an alternative folder but the signature is not taking via msigner.
was thinking that this might be the 'simple' way but must be doing something wrong, was thinking set the shortcut to a generic option (ie Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Test) would give some flexibility (we could just add/rename folders in the program list
any idea what i am doing wrong on the resign?
edit: unsign/resign done will work on the edit to see if i can get this to work

well i can find the path, edit the path and run on my xda...
but the dam think defaults to the program folder no matter what i do!!!!
anyone any ideas?????

Please try this It's part of Wisbar Advance 3, Start Panel. Files in folder my documents > my documents and exe put somewhere.

If you have problems with startup (blank white page) and using wktask or programs like this, make exception to run always in background. Then to refresh list you must restart it.

Hi IkE Blaster, Spot on, works perfectly!!!! is it possible to edit the config to allow folks to choose the folder?
if this works, it is a configarable menu option that will work with any 3rd party app
all credit to you!!!!

thanks for trying, this works as a seperate link but not through the cube??? for some reason it brings up Internet Explorer????

You can change the "url" of folder in config file, if you select for example start menu, than can you change folder tapping the top curtain. But you can go only in includes folder. I can't explain it, try it yourself

Is their a way to elaborate a bit further on this solution?? I have WA3 but no idea on how to use this?

I'm developting an app....
Because I don't run an English rom on my ppc, I need to know how in ENGLISH are called these paths:
1) the folder you see in "Start->programs" (maybe /windows/start menu/programs ??)
2) /program files (the folder where all the programs are installed on device memory... is it correct?)

You got them right, but I think you need to use "\" instead of "/"

Depending on the language you use I would suggest to retrieve the special folder locations/path names with the help of windows.
For C/C++ there is a function called SHGetSpecialFolderPath.
