I woke up this morning and attempted calling my voicemail but i couldn't hear anything. Then called a friend and then i noticed my earpiece is not working. I can hear through my speaker phone, but not through the earpiece.
I don't remember dropping the device at all or doing anything bad to it last night.. So what are the chances this is a software error and not the actual earpiece itself?
ok, just reflashed my device and still no sound but i found out that if i pull the keyboard out, it works.... so i'd put my bet on a loose ribbon maybe?
I am having the same issue.. any luck with yours?

Hi,
Am using a Jasjar. One fine morning the phone stopped ringing. No sound from the speakers at all. Though I could hear the other side on recieving or making calls. My voice does not go.
I sent it for repairs to I mate service center in Dubai (am in mumbai), Got back the machine working today. After making 5-6 calls ,the same problem has started again.
Please advice.
thanks ,
AT.
sounds like they didnt fix it, my 5.1 amp has just done similar, well not similar, but similar issue lol, grrrr
amp stopped doing video, sent to yamaha for repairs, got it back !!!AFTER 2 MONTHS WAITING!!! 2 weeks later its doing it again.
Back to Dubai it goes then! This time, try to shout enough so that they actually fix it.
A quick suggestion: (just in case)
In some cases people have had problems with sound loss from their Universals caused by the headphone jack. The sensor that identifies whether a headphone is plugged in is faulty and cuts out the speaker sound.
You could try putting a headphone jack into the socket and wiggling it, or plugging it in and out a few times. That might fix it.
I've had the same problem too a couple of times. I found that it was something weird with the battery actually. It always seemed to happen when I switched batteries. Everything would work fine except the audio. I could make a call but the other side couldn't hear me. When I would "click" on anything like Start all I would hear is a small popping sound. I found that if I took the battery back out, and then put it back in and made sure it was securely set in place & locked it the sound would work again. Sometimes I would have to do that twice before it would work again. I'm not sure if it really is a battery thing or something else that gets jiggled when I put a new battery in/out but that's what's worked for me. Hope that helps.
Please help i followed the usual steps. Opened up the phone and left to dry for five days. Then when i turned on the phone everything seemed to be working fine, Except when i am making a call i cannot hear anything. If i enable loud speaker the sound is routed the back speaker. So it seems the front speaker is faulty. Anyone know where i can buy a new speaker?

wow thanks i tried searching ebay before but came up with nothing specific for the trinity, so i purchased this one instead http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....m=170185169760&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=007 not exactly for a trinity but hopefully should still work. If not i'll buy the one from the link you supplied. i'll let you know how i get on when it arrives.
Thanks.
I tried using a handfree and the phone works completely fine, just when on its own I cannot hear from the other side. The other side can hear me though.
I used the phone on its own one night, then without dropping it or whatever that earpiece just failed to work in the morning the other day. I tried hard reset and even ROM flash. How likely this issue to be a software crash?
Thanks!

I had exactly the same issue, had to send it to repair. Still waiting for it to come back.
I was on a call in speakerphone and the thing jus DIED on me....I thought the call dropped, but when the person called back I got no ring. I tried to play music and nothing. Reflashed ROMs and still got nothing. This thing is a gonner. Anyone know howta fix this? Or howta take the G2 apart and check the connections?
So I've been using custom ROMs for this phone since a week after I got it and have never had any problems with my main calling speaker until this morning. I woke up when I got a call from work and when I answered I heard nothing. I figured since I have terrible reception where I live all the time that I just needed to give the phone a second to find a network signal, but I actually had 3 signal bars. So I called back and same thing happened, the call connected, but I couldn't hear anything. At one point I hit my speaker phone button on accident and I could hear my boss asking me to come in early. So later I checked my voicemail so the notification would go away and I couldn't hear anything until I switched it to speaker phone.
tl;dr version: this morning my main phone speaker stopped working and I can't figure out why. Wondering if anyone cab suggest a fix or if they've had it happen to them. I've been on Joker's 0.7.0.0 special for about a week now and haven't had problems til this morning. Any help or info is greatly appreciated.
