I had a damm similar problem as i could not sync the device via bluetooth.
I have an XDA2 and upgraded my rom to the o2 release from last week. I was hoping that all the serial profile issues would have been resolved in respect to bluetooth gps, but it just made things worse as there are no obvious setting in which i can assign a serial profile to a particular port or even get activesync to work no matter what.
So finally I gave in and downloaded the Bluetooth Tools by Towas again and installed them. Straight away my xda2 was bonding with my gps again and when u add ur pc as a new device (new bonding), under the bluetooth tools u simply select activesync. then u can straight away sync initiated by the xda2 and once a connection is established, u get automatically internet access.
another issue was that my bluetooth software on the pc created too many 'dummy' serial com ports for bluetooth which didnt actually work, so i ended up removing them all under the device manager (windows system- hardware) and then setting up a new bluetooth serial port on my pc (make sure u set up just one).
get the bluetooth tools from:

Yeh, 15 serial ports my bluetooth dongle software set up on my pc, whats all that about, greedy or what?
15  !! Haha..
I only have 1 I think

Hi,
since 3 days I own a XDA2.
1)
I wanted to buy a SDIO wlan card but then I heard that SDIO only makes ~ 40kByte/s
Is that true?
How can I get more speed?
2)
I wanted to use a BT Headset and BT GPS at the same time.
Somebody told me, that wouldn't be possible (single-channel ?)
What is the truth?
P.S.: Does anybody get greater upload (PC->PDA with usbserial+ipaq modules) speeds than 400kbit under Linux?
Download is fine (4mbit)
Under windows I get ~ 4mbit in both directions.
C'mon, there must be someone with an SDIO Wlan card and an XDA II.

here is a benchmark of the xda2 with sd speed and all
not sure if it's the SDIO interface itself that limit the speed but i dont think it is i havent seen any tests of the transfer rate of the sdIO wifi cards on the xda2 but i dont think it would be limited to the read / write speed of sd mem cards
http://www.ppcw.net/?itemid=1650
here is a test
even if it were linited to the speed of the read and write of the SD cards
then it would still be much faster then GRPS hands down
2)
Bluetooth GPS and Bluetooth Headset work at the same time with no problems. I have a Jabra BT250 headset and a Leadtek LR9537 Bluetooth GPS and I use them both together frequently with no problems.

Thanks for your reply. This is brillant news for me.
I was already a bit disappointed having bought that pda because of the transfer speed and the bluetooth single channel rumors.
But it seems like all these rumors wheren't true.
Hiii
XDA II Bluetooth Data transfer speed is aprox. 700Kbit/s
A bluetooth headphone... use under 20kbit to communicate...
a bluetooth GPS use aprox. 4800 - 9600baud (10kb/s)
SDIO-slot is a powerfull IO port with Very hight speed data transfer support. I think up to several Mbyte/s
That test about SD storage card in a SDIO doesn't ment that speed limits are the maximum rates for the SDIO, but only for SD storage card's.

Allow me to quote my own post.
Today I bought said card and a first test gives ~ 480kbps
That's roughly 1/2 mbit which is quite sufficient in my eyes.
It's about the same I get via USB (with debug=1).
Hey all,
i've tried to recieve files over BT from Nokia 7610 & 6230 with no luck.
(both of them did send files each other and did recieve files from my device)
does anyone else has this problem?
i have an XdaII mini..
Thanks ahead,
Lior.
even with Receive all incoming beams and Bluetooth On I cannot receive any files from my desktop. I think this is because MS BT stack is a bit crippled. I can send files to and from my h2210 iPAQ just fine.
@bnycastro
how do you send files from the xda to the 2210? and vice-versa? i don't have an option to send files via BT in the file explorer, only beam file. thanks!
Just use the beam file and make sure bluetooh is on; the XDA will search for other BT devices then will display 'tap to send'
If you right click on a file on your PC then go down to 'send to' Bletooth device should come up (Windows XP SP2) Make sure the XDA is set to discoverable and you should be able to send the file to it
big thanks nikpro!

Hello biggie,
Yup, its the capability of the bluetooth hardware
You can try resco explorer for enhanced bluetooth file sending.

Hi, I'm using a Royaltek RBT-2300 gps reciever and iGO 2006+, but my Elfin losing the BT connection frequently (it is connected about 2 sec long and not connected about 20 sec). I've tried the reciever with a NOKIA N95 it worked fine, also tried with an ipaq pda (with iGO 8) - losing connection too. I set everything in the External GPS thing, but same story... Any ideas?
