Accessing the internet using an SD Wifi card - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

Hi folks,
Finally got my Jam to recognise my Safecom sd wifi card by rebooting my router.
I've input all my settings, but when I try to access any pages using internet explorer I get the error message "Cannot connect. Unable to connect: You have no modem entries created, and no network card present."
Anyone have any pointers?
Thanks

[Q] Can't access SD cards through XP

Hi, I having a problem where it either takes ages (more than 3 mins) for windows to recognise the SD cards when I connect via USB, or else doesn't recognise there is any external storage connected to the PC..seems to happen on different PC's so it seems to be an issue with the SGS (my old G1 always works fine).
When I connect to the PC, It asks which type of connection i want, I select Mass Storage and then mount the SD card.
Edit: and when it DOES recognise the card, There are no files listed in it....
Edit: THis also happens when connected to Kies...both cards appear empty
Have you tried to use "Mass storage" option instead of "Ask on connection"?
Yeah, tried both. Now no XP machine will recognise phone...
Tried it on Ubuntu and works straigth away

I don't suppose you set your SD Card as internal memory, did you?
Same problem here
Did you format your SD card as Internal?
Try this
This worked for me.Use sd card adapter, transfer all data to pc. Then place card back in phone(x play). Format and eject from phone( from memory settings, do not physically remove), then mount again. This time pc will read in MTP mode. Transfer back all data from pc.
One more thing switch off and turn back on once after remounting.
