Ok, I have a 512MB sd card in, I took pictures and copied them into Storage Card, and now when I put the card in my normal camera, not the pda and hook it on to my computer to view the pics, it says there is like nothing on the card... =/
Your camera probably uses a different graphics format to save images and doesnt recognise the files, you could use a card reader or you could view them from the sd card while inserted in your phone by using activesync on your desktop pc, while connected and click explore then choose your sd card.
my blackstone cant acces to the sd card anymore if i pull the sd card out and then pull back in the blackstone recognizes the sd card but i only can view the tings that are on the card
so i cant copy, install, remove or rewrite
does anyone know why this suddenly happend
is this a hardware problem?
Hello,
I had the same issue a few days ago. It was due to some bad files on my SD card.
What you can do:
- connect the HTC to a PC as an external disk (not with activesync) or put your SD card into a PC if you have a card reader
- try to copy what you can on a HDD
- try CHKDSK or format the SD card
It should then work again.
I am running a HTC Touch HD with a 8gb microSD memory card, i was watching a movie on it when it suddenly froze. Done a soft reset and found that the storage card to be empty and all programs which were installed to the mem card are also gone. However Start > Settings > Memory > Storage Card, shows 7.2gb used 700free meaning that the data is still there but the phone will not read it for some reason. I have been doing some research and have found that a lot of people have had the same problem but have not as yet posted a solution
All threads i found on this topic are from 2008-earlier and i was wondering if anybody has found a fix for this yet or whether i'll have to format the storage card completely as the computer on which i made the back-up for the card was also formatted last week in which case ill have to download all the data and programs again.
Thanks in advance
I have a similar issue, I had my Touch HD connected to the PC using the 'Disk Drive' option and accessing some files on the SD card whilst TomTom was running. I unplugged my device and TomTom complained about missing files then the app would not start again, I could not see the SD card after this on the device or my PC SD card slot so I restarted the PC and the phone.
I could then see the files on my SD card, and I could see the files on my device but it is now appearing as Storage Card 2, I had to reinstall my apps to this new location to get them working as I could not get the SD card to show as Storage Card, and there is already a Storage Card showing as well as Storage Card 2.
Weird!!!
Hi Guys,
When I put an SD card in my phone and plug it into my PC, windows only sees the SD Card. I hit "USB mass storage" option on the phone after plugging it in, but I still only get access to the SD card.
When the SD Card isn't in the phone windows explorer will see the internal phone storage. I just can't get them both to show up at the same time.
The other weird thing is when I plug the phone in, it unmounts both the SD Card and the Internal Storage (in order for the PC to use them). However, when I remove the phone from the PC, I have to manually remount the internal storage. The SD Card will automatically remount.
Any ideas?
Thx.
Hi all,
I tried to use Kies to sync music and movies to my phone. My phone is the 16GB I9505 version (not locked through a specific carrier as it was purchased out-right. I have a Smartone sim card though).
I selected the function to use my SD card as the primary storage for Kies transfers (e.g. Music, Photos, Movies). However once I press sync, Kies still uses the internal memory as preference over the SD card. My files are probably 20GB and my 32GB SD card is completely empty, so capacity is not a problem.
Kies recognizes my SD card, but still keeps the internal memory as the preference for transferring data (even know I have the option ticked to use the SD card).
I just want to keep my phone memory as free as possible for apps.
I have resorted to using my windows explorer/"my computer" to dump files onto the SD card/phone memory, which isn't an issue. I would however prefer to use Kies if its possible.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Thanks!
