I got my MDA PRO from e-bay now I would like to use it, but it is locked T-Mobile. Following the suggestions here I call T-Mobile in Germany and I found out that I have to call T-Mobile Austria well I did that also But it is over a month now and they still are sending the unlock code. I spoke to 4-5 people in their help desk for unlocking and there is no reference no file. Each time I ask them to give me the case number to follow up no way that I can get it. I have spend doubble the money on phone calls for what they require to unlock it and still the unlocking code has never arrived.
The funniest think is their advice look at the internet and take wild guess where I had to look?
Any ideas how to do it?
George
Can remove simlock from HTC Kovsky - Xperia - and from any other HTC devices.
This service is not free.
You will get unlock code in 5 minutes to 72 hours.
It will costs 50$ = 34EUR = 27GBP by donation to xda-developers.com - http://forum.xda-developers.com/donations.php
Please send me a Private Message for details.
P.S. you do not need to reflash, disassembly, hard reset your device!

Yes we all know there is another site called HTCCODE which also unlocks by code.
I left the first post mentioning htccode, but removed the others.
Now stop spamming the above mentioned site, we know it already!
But feel free to open another thread to discuss HTC code.
hey OP, does this sim unlock also security unlock? I'm already sim unlocked from the factory, all i need is a security unlock...

No. All this services provide unlock code only and it does NOT reset/read security code
Anyway all services listed here are little bit expensive. You better try my friend from www.fastgsm.com. It's cheapest and it is directly from source - not a reseller
Unlock code not supported by provider
Hey all
I got a quick question, my provider (Austrian) does not provide IMEI unlock code. Is there any other possibility to unlock my device?
Thanks for the answer.

Maybe not what you were after zetex but I flashed the 1.48 ROM over my T Mobile HD2 via the goldcard method.
Result unbranded/unlocked HD2 with all the HTC apps reinstated that T Mobile decided to remove i.e you tube, jetcet printer, co pilot trial
hi

your could be my saving star..... i will have a look into that
i didnt realise by updating the rom using the goldcard method actually unlocked the phone as welll...
is this true, i dont mind flashing it at all... just want it to work on o2
thanks alot
Z
Your best option would seem is to upgrade your ROM to unbranded 1.48 via goldcard?
That's what I have done from O2 ROM. I'm sure it would work for T Mobile.
I just changed my sim and it doesnt unlock my phone it is still tied to O2 sorry
hi,
i may sound stupid, but are you sure that t-mob uk devices has a netlocked?. i only ask because german t-mob devices arent netlocked at all. the only (stupid) thing t-(in)mobile germany does, was to lock the internet connection. so you can dialin only via them, but that could be fixed by simply using the goldcard method to update to a nice brandingfree rom.
regards mad
hi
so by flashing it using an unbranded rom with a goldcard does not unlock it??
really sorry im all new to this??
thanks alot
Z
hi,
maybe we are talking about different things. but for me unlocking means removing the sim/netlock. so that after unlocking, i can use any sim from any provider i like, to make phonecalls etc..
what happens if you put a simcard from a different provider to your hd2? can you use your phone to call someone? if so your phone is not sim/netlocked anyhow.
mad
Hi, I was wondering the same a Madbird, as I bought a Tmobile HD2 a couple of weeks ago, and was very pleased when i realised it didnt have a tmobile badge on, and when i tried my Virgin sim it worked fine. Maybe I just struck lucky!
Use www.your-unlock.com It's what I used for mine and it worked no trouble, just put your other sim in and turn it on and it will ask you for an unlock code, enter the one that site e-mails you.

just got an email from this company and they have failed to get me unlock code....
not looking very good at the moment.... looks good in the box though...

This works for T-Mobile UK
Try unlockdata.co.uk. They generated a code which I was able to enter into my HD2 to allow all networks..

Hey, I got a T-Mobile UK HD2 also. I have also just submitted my code to Your-Unlock.com. Well after seeing your post I would not expect much. Anyway I did a search and found this guy on E-Bay. Thinking of giving him a try. Has some good reviews also. Check it out let me know what you think. This is what the add says "Unlock HTC HD2 Leo T-Mobile O2 3 UK Code = FAST"
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Unlock-HTC-HD...QptZUK_Phones_Software_RL?hash=item1c0e880071
just been to the shops to try unlock but they said none would be available until next 2 weeks.
Anyone with better luck
id be interested to hear from anyomne also as am about to recieve my hd2 from t-mobile on monday - any successful unlock codes, or any successful flashing of the rom to get the hd2 sim unlocked? im assuming i will recieve the phone locked to t-mobile but will update in case it arrives unlocked.
Well I have not found a solution as yet. Tried a guy on ebay but seems he's unable to unlock also. Anyone has any luck unlocking the t-mobile uk hd2 online?
Hi - i wondered if these can be unlocked - ive got an X1 at the moment which has performed brilliantly but id like to move to this phone if i can. Im up for getting one off of ebay but most are locked to tmobile or o2 of which i belong to neither (im on voda) if they can be then im there...look forward to hearing from anyone that can confirm....

Comfy
HTC HD2s can be unlocked. Use the SEARCH function before posting.
i did - i couldnt find anything - do you have a link...?
great, oh - and can they be reflashed with a generic rom..? the one im looking at is an o2 branded one so im assuming it will be populated with o2 stuff...or a cooked rom - dont mind which...
well, just pulled the trigger and bought it - should get it on tuesday so here starts my time in this area of the forum.....x1 for sale!
Flashing to stock ROM is not an issue. Just check the sticky in Leo ROM development. The question is if its SIM locked. Then just google for it
hd2 unlocking o2 uk
I am waiting for my unlocking code from o2... 26 more days to go.
My IMEI was refused by three different ebay unlockers as my phone is "very new".
o2 uk hd2 unlocking ideas anyone???
well, it seems somewhere on here is a guide for unlocking (i was told to search for it...) no reply on a link yet....
unlockitnow
unlockitnow.com got me a code for T-Mobile UK in 24 hours if you're in a rush. Unlocked HD2 now.
how much did it cost you....ive still got my X1 which is fine but....its a new toy....etc.etc...
well, it seems from looking through the various posts o2 are the more difficult to unlock....we do use o2 at work for our phones and blackberry's - so im going to mail our account manager and see if i can pull a favour....although ill keep looking around....
a little more info - the bloke that i bought mine off of on ebay was already one step ahead. Apparently on o2 at least there's a free service - if youre the original owner you can fill out a form and theyll unlock it for free although he has to wait 28days max for the code....if all else fails thats a start...
sorry - just cutting through everything - once my phone is unlocked can i just flash it with a stock rom straight from HTC??? - theres a new one on their site, and i did read about it in the news also - sorts out lots of problems apparently...
Not really, superCID means that you can use any sim card from any provider.
It needs USPL or HSPL to be able to install any rom.
Btw, it p***es me off that we need to pay so much for unlocking a phone...
a bit more info would be helpful - tried it?
That's the HSPL for the Blackstone. It's not created to work on our HD2.
I download the file. It's signed by Olipro !!!!!! Why there isn't a thread till now for HardSPL? Have you tested it?
Thank's for your answer
ah - thought it was too good to be true....at this point it would just be nice to reflash with the standard htc rom

I think it gets unlocked if you install the Unofficial/Official firmware updates such as the latest one I9000XWJM2.
it would be great, but are you sure ?im kinda newbie at this ...im afraid not to break it.
It wont unlock it I thing, just change the settings
Sent from my I9000 using XDA App

I am not 100% sure, however, I am sure that you won't breat your mobile if you follow the correct steps, it's worth a try.
ok..i'll wait for new replies if no viable solution appears i will go to a gsm service.
I cannot test it, but flashing Generic Firmwares may unlock your phone. You could first root the device, do a backup with ROM Manager/ClockworkMod then flash the JM2 Firmware and see if it's unlocked.
If not, restore the backup with ROM Manager and unroot your device.
I don't think is a big deal and better then going to a "gsm service"
Good Luck.
I think that your first action should be to contact your service provider, Orange, and ask if they will provide an unlocking code. Most providers will provide an unlock code for about £15 or £20, although some insist that you have had the phone for a specified time.
I'm pretty sure flashing a generic firmware will not unlock the phone. I would definitely try orange first, though when my dad got a phone unlocked in the past they made him wait 3 months first and charged him £15.
you can obtain an unlock code there http://cellunlocker.net/
its 25$ i am sure orange will cash much more for this...
tried all solutions..soft related...i called orange too and they didn't gave me the code in the end i went to a service and unlocked it there (50$) kinda pricey for a unlock code but i had no remaining solutions, thanks for your replies guys
Cheers
It's too late for you, but someone in another forum reported that his simlock went away after flashing JP3 on his phone.
Orange do SIM-unlock handsets, but they require that you're at least 3 months into your contract with a new handset before they will do so.
They charge £20 for the privilege, which is applied to your bill. If you have a pre-paid handset, you need to have this amount as credit on your bill before they'll order the code.
It can take some time - a couple of weeks - for them to send the code to you. I think this varies by handset.
In my experience with HTC handsets, so this is obviously may differ for Samsung, flashing a new ROM will NOT SIM-unlock your device.
I had a new HTC Desire from Orange and was going abroad immediately on a business trip. They refused to SIM-unlock it for me, so I found someone on eBay offering unlock codes, and for the princely sum of US$9, had an unlocked phone that I was able to use with a local SIM card within 5 hours.
(Side note: Orange lied and screwed me over the contractual terms, so I cancelled the contract on them and returned the handset, switched to Vodafone, and now have the SGS!)
