A folder called Network - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Hi all,
I have a folder called Network and my camera wants only save pics and video on My principal memory or in that folder called Network but not in my storage card...
What is that folder called Network ?
I can't manage to delete it... so how can i manage to save pics ans videos to my storage card ?
I need help, please.

Re up, i need help please.

this is because you have installed a lan client such as PocketLAN, for mounting network shares in a way they appear as local folders.
I have the same issue. If I want to use external storage to store pictures, I have to open PocketLAN and select the 'disable network folder' option. then reanable it after.
If anyone can find a way to rename the Network folder in the registry to something higher up the alphabet than "Storage Card", that may allow it to be enabled and still allow the camera app to use it, or modify the camera app so it allows more than 2 choices..

i think a lot would agree with me when i say the ultimate must have app is Spb Pocket Plus 3.0
I would add Resco explorer with reg.& ftp plugin, Sprite back-up, PHM mechanic, PHM powertoys & VGS mail (runs imap on your magician, found on this forum). Running airscanner firewall & Trend micro mobile security as well. Testing magic button for really closing apps. I belief spb leaks too much memory. That's personal ofcourse.

Here's the list of my must have's and how to's. To start with, installing the Big Storage ROM will make your device way faster, but ONLY IF you install most of the programs in Storage. This way, your free RAM will be 13Mb Prog/9Mb Storage most of the time!
The list of essential programs I don't do without:
1) SBSH Pocket Breeze: gives a lot of information on the Today screen and is not performance hungry. Very very stable. I installed in Storage.
2) Pocket Max PhoneAlarm: Today plug-in that allows you set profiles and assign MP3 tones to SMS as well.
3) Sprite Backup: Simply the best backup tool that also comes with Sprite Space Detective and a Today Plug-in for battery and memory monitoring. Using this plug-in I saved myself from installing SPB Pocket Plus (I don't want to run programs from a today plug-in, most of them are accessible from the Start menu anyway).
4) TKCreator: a theme editor that allows me to modify themes on the PPC and also select themes stored anywhere on the device without modifying the registry. FREE.
5) PSShutXP: a program that lets you soft-reset the PPC without having to fiddle with the stylus. FREE.
6) TCPMP (Beta Player): for those weird formats that WMP10 does not recognise
7) MemMaid: Mostly useful to delete Internet Cache and Mail attachment. You wouldn't need the Bad Installation clean ups if you stick to only the software you use and the only software that works. When I want to fiddle with some new software I just take a backup before I start and restore if I need to.
8) Microsoft Voice Command: ideal in the car, where I just say "Play ..." or "Call ..." at the press of a button.
9) Modified MS BT stack: at least this stack works properly with my wife's Nokia 6230. A2DP is also welcome with this stack.
10) MobiPocket Reader: a very cool RSS/News reader that I snychronise every morning, thus making my favorite daily readings available off-line any time of the day. (I'm subsribed (FREE) to CNN, BBC News, BBC Tech, The Register, Pocket PC Thoughts, MS Windows Mobile Team Blog, The Times of Malta and Soccer Net.)
Finally, with regards to closing apps as opposed to minimising them (one of the most popular features of SPB Pocket Plus), I found that with plenty of RAM available (after installing all progs to Storage), leaving the apps runnning in the background makes the Magician MUCH MORE responsive.
Since I installed the above setup I never ever had to reset the device. It's the best I ever had. Almost flawless.

I have only two apps running. Spb Pocket Plus and tAgenda. Between the two, I have all the information I need. I prefer to keep my memory useage low, so that when I open those two or three applications, they have lots of memory.
kta: I've searched, but can only find onfo on the Bluesoleil BT stack - not a modified MS stack. Can you please direct us to info on how to do this upgrade.
You can find it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33532 in the first post.

Getting Original SPB GPRS Monitor To Work Again

Hi everyone, as you all know, ATOM comes preinstalled with SPB GPRS Monitor. I did not know that at first when I bough the Atom and have installed the eval version of SPB GPRS Monitor. I have installed it in the memory card. I have since uninstalled it. The original program appears to be still working the device memory \Program File folder. But I believe the settings in registry and associations have been removed when I uninstalled the eval version of SPB GPRS Monitor. How do I get the original one working again without doing a hard reset?
actually, you can't uninstall preinstalled version of monitor... I thing when you remove evo, you have original configuration on your Atom... try to use the monitor

Yes I perfectly understand this. However it does not work anymore. I guess the registry and shorcuts have been removed. The meter does not run anymore.
try to use memaid program to remove "bad uninstall registry"

Just tried. Does not work. Does not fix. SPB GPRS Monitor is NOT monitoring my GPRS connections even when I set it to. Can you send me the shortcut that is supposed to be in windows\startup folder?

you can create shortcat by your hand, using Resco file explorer, than copy it to startup folder
The most simple way is to make a hardreset but you have to reinstall your software.

Losing Data on Storagecard

Hi
I've got a super strange problem with my TyTN. I'm loosing my Data on the Storagecard. But only the Data whitch is saved in the "My Documents" Folder such as my Pic's and my MP3's. If i have a look at the Properties of the Storagecard, i see there is about 500MB used. When i select all the Folders on the Card and take a look at the Properties i see only 70MB. Seems like the data is there but i can't see them.
Some ideas? SBP Backup is running each night and makes a Backup from the Phone to the Card. I've formatet the Card 2 Weeks ago but the problem isn't gone.
Software installed:
HTC X Button
Opera
Mort Player
Skype
Sbp Backup
Sbp Imageer
Resco Explorer
TCPMP
Worms
Sorry for my "special" english.
Greetz from Switzerland
AIR
I have the same problem at times which I know is caused by the Camara software.
Solutions anyone?
Hmmm i checked my Card in a Cardreader and with a Filerecovery Software. I could restore my Data. Now I am searching the cause. Its also possible that the Card is bad. For the moment all Data is there and saved on the Desktop. Will see if the data persists...

I think he'd like to use his wifi
maybe he wanna use wireless
Resco works great over wifi, but it can be a little slow on first-connect.
its very easy to browse network files using total commander which is freeware.
open it go to \\plugins (or type \\\ in the addressbar) then select LAN and follow through the options pretty straight forward
you can also enable the network folder through any file browser, but i can never remember the correct reg entry for it as i tend to enable it using sktools
try the htc network cab works great
Resco works geat cheers guys!
just the normal explorer, type plugins and then lan followed by the name of your pc. no problem so far with this since 2 ppcs.

Something to do before using X1

Dear all,
I finally get the X1 on hand. (I have waited it for 1 year). Expect charging the battery. Any Tweak, Program, Settings and others should be done on X1 first? Please advise. Thanks!
get the latest fw before you start installing stuff
xperia tweak (clifford)
spb panel will be in the fw
get yourself a registry editor (resco, SDK tools)
with regards to apps its down to choice and $$$, i dont think anyone uses all the apps from this forum, youtube is a good one though.
Read all the stickies! They will prepare you for the journey ahead.
also read the XDA-WIki entry for x1
Get the following apps if you can afford it or if you're smart and unscrupulous enough to find a keygen/crack:
-RESCO Explorer: Best file explorer incl. Registry Editor and FTP Support
-SPB PocketPlus: Neat tool for the home screen, unless you prefer to use SPB MobileShell
-Garmin Mobile XT or TomTom 7 (The latter is *ONLY* illegally available at this time): Onboard navigation software
-Panoramic Calc Pro: Best calculator
-Spb Wireless Monitor: To monitor your traffic
-Spb Insight: RSS feed reader, very good. You can use the built-in reader of SE panel, though.
-Spb Finance: Manage your accounts
-Spb Keyboard: Screenkeyboard so you don't always have to slide the phone open
-Inesoft Phone: Dialer/Contacts/Etc, more professional than the built-in
Notice you can fully try all Spb Software for 2 weeks to see if you like it.
The following are free:
-Advanced Config: Tweak everything
-Notepad 1.5: Notepad as on Windows, fast & useful
-G-Watch: Stopwatch (There is no default)
-SmsImport: Easily import & export text messages to/from XML file
-Startmenu.exe: Opens/Closes Startmenu. Needed to assign a softkey to open/close the startmenu which I think is the best thing you can do.
-HTC Touch HD Videoconverter: BEST video converter for X1i. USE THIS ONE, IT'S THE ONLY ONE THAT WILL PRODUCE GOOD RESULTS!
You may also want to install a couple of games.
Anyone know the sound issue? Has it been solve?
Dear all,
I know it may be a stupid question. But I have use it for 3 hrs for search. I have installed Resco Explorer. But I don't know how to find the Registry file. Please help. Thanks!

It should be in the Programs-Folder of the STartmenu. It's called "Resco Registry" You could also tap the Star in Resco Explorer in the top left corner and it should show you a list containing "My Registry". If that is not the case, you have no installed the addon. I think you're prompted for this during installation, I don't fully remember.
EDIT: Checked it out. With PC installer you should be prompted. CAB Installers are separate files. You can download them here: http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/explorer/downloads.asp
