Use PHM Tools, or if you're foolhardy, VJTrayLaunch.

Have done a semi-extensive search to find a plug-in which allows you to place application shortcuts on the lower toolbar of the Today screen (not on the Desktop). True Toolbar is a step in the right direction, however, this does only show the running programs. Any other ideas? Thanks.
Dear,
I know a nice program called cLaunch for launching applications directly from shortcuts on Today Screen. there are many versions to it. Here is one of them www.freewareppc.com/utilities/claunch.shtml . Above all, it's freeware
Hope this is what you're looking for
Thanks, Ken_xda, but that's not what I'm looking for. As mentioned in my post, I'd like to have the shortcuts placed in the TOOLBAR on the bottom of the screen (not on the Today Desktop). The same way you can place the Quick Lunch icons in your lower toolbar in MS Windows.

maybe this one it sounds like it's in the buttom but the picture looks a bit odd
I should have mentioned it, sorry. I tried FastAccess. The idea is quite good. It adds a little toolbar to the bottom of the screen which toggles between showing/hiding icons of any programs you choose. But the execution is rather poorly done. It disabled the close/minimize button on certain applications and some design elements such as the size of the check box doesn't integrate that nicely into the existing user interface.
Try TrayLaunch from PHM....Works great and it's free!

I'm am using WAD without the Today Bar (bottom). I want to put a shortcut for PhotoContacts in a WAD virtual page. The shortcut though should behave like the shortcut in the Today Bar that when I click on it, it just pops up a menu showing the different profiles.
I already tried the parameters as shown in the StartUp but it doesn't work.

Does anyone know how to change the T-mobile icons (in one line on the the today screen)
the shortcut to this range of icons refers to \Windows\BrandedBrowser.exe
I like the way they show on the screen but want to change the the icons
Not sure if they are modifiable, but it may be easier for you to disable this plugin and use other today plugin launcher to get the similar effect
I did the registry tweak to add "wireless" operator/WiFi and BT icons to my today screen. Everything looks great but I was wondering if there's a way to add those icons to the sys tray (like the battery and comm manager icons).

the battery icon disappears when you launch a program and im wondering if there is a way to also hide the speaker, evdo icon and activesync in the same manner the battery disappears and reappears when you open/close a program.
can these icons be auto-hidden like battery?
if anyone uses WkTask you'll know why.. i think it would be better for more room/space for tabs.. i don't see a point in showing these icons when you're working on active tasks.

Click to collapse
...if you are using WkTask you can allow it to cover those icons:
manage the size of the "Offset from the right edge" option in first preferences tab, try to decrease that number!!
Ciao
