Hi, in opera i tried to answer a mail in landscape mode. Using T9 with the full keyboard, when i press the "M" touch for a word begining with this letter, example "Maison" ( i'm french ), i only got a ";" .... and no way to have something else.. if i press "A" after, it is stuck to this ";"...
am i crazy ?
Ciao

Hello everyone,
I'm very interested in this device, but as I'm living in Belgium, I'm used to type on an AZERTY keyboard (instead of QWERTY).
Is this changeable?
Thanks for your reply!
Best regards
Koen
No answer?
Is there anyone who has an answer to this question? I'm sure lots of belgian people have this question, so you'll help a lot of people .
Thanks!!
Koen
did you try to install a different keyboard like fingerkeyboard
New in town
Hello!
Thanks for your reply! I don't have the device yet, so I haven't tried install anything.
But I want to buy this device, therefore interested if I can use an AZERTY keyboard.
Thx!
Koen
Haven't really tried that yet Koen.
Might be something that is possible as the default keyboard that comes with the HD2 NL looks a lot like the ezInput 2.x keyboard (although I did not verify if they are related!) But if they are, ezInput comes with all kinds of different layouts so maybe somebody will figure out how to change the default HD2 keyboard to azerty also...
Don't know if it helps, but the T9 input is pretty good in guessing which (Dutch) words you want to type. taking into account that you sometimes tap the wrong letter; mix up some letters etc. Has been verry helpfull in correcting me
hope it helps

simply select the arrow near the keyboard and select french
but remember xt9 will also be in french so disable it!
So ... just buy it
Ok, we'll see. Now I just need to buy the phone and try it out.
Thanks for the feedback!
I'll give some feedback as soon as I have it.

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Isn't it possible to change this? So when you select Dutch you get an azerty keyboard with the correct xt9 (Dutch)?
halo koen
ik zit ook met de zelfde probleem
maar ik had al eens en azerty gehad
met swype
Hi There!
I (and I think a lot of others too) would be interested in something like a hack/mod/app ...whatever is needed for the hardware keyboard of the Motorola Droid aka Milestone.
You get a selection of special characters when you long press a key.
e.g. a long press of "o" offers you ó ò ö and some more over a popup on the screen.
But in German we only have 4 special characters: ü ä ö and ß
So, it would be much more useful that if you long press "o", that you get a "ö" directly without having to choose it on the screen.
o => ö, O => Ö
a => ä, A => A
u => ü, U => Ü
s => ß
Is this possible?
(I hope you can even see the special characters in this post)
Yes. Does anyone know if this could be done?
All Scandinavians could use this too.
For Norwegians the following would be nice:
o > ø
a > å
e > æ
There are so damned many å's in our language that I have to keep holding and tapping the screen all the time, it really defeats the purpose of having a great hardware keyboard.
Hi everyone...
I'm new in the WM world so i'm asking for your help:
How do I get PCM Keyboard to work in Portuguese?
I tried the 0.14, with a portuguese layout I found on the web (the only one I found!!!) and iphone skin... it works but... it has some bugs:
- missing the "_" in the layout
- when I try typing the name of a contact in a SMS so I would normally get the contact suggestion, the list only appears when a click on backspace button (ex.: I want to send a SMS to John, I type "J" (nothing appears), I continue typing "JO" (still nothing), then I click on the backspace button (and ONLY THEN, a suggestion list appears).
I installed the new version (0.24) but it's impossible to find a portuguese layout!!!
Any portuguese in the room (or others you may know where I can find the files I need...)?
Thank you so much!
I purchased the S5E and got a free keyboard. It is a bit small but does the job... except that I can't type accented characters like à é ô. My language is French and it uses accented characters extensively. This EJ-FT720 keyboard should be bilingual: it has bilingual descriptions on some keys like this one: Caps Lock Verr. maj.
Anybody knows how to do it ?
