High Capacity Battery found on ebay - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Has anyone got or tried one of these. I stumbled across it on ebay and ordered it.

I tried to do a search on this forum for info but it did not come up with anything so sorry if you all already know about this.
I shall post my thoughts once it arrives.

think this belongs in assecoires...
could you make some pictures of how it looks when its attached to your universal

Okay, I shall see what I can do.
And yes, your absolutly right, this should have went in accessories, but I totally forgot there even was an accessories as my IE favourite was straight to the main Universal forum as that is all I ever look at.
Sorry

Here, if you are interested to read more what others found out about extended battery for Universal. There are two varians diccussed: the 3200 mAH and the 4800 mAH. There are pictures posted too. These two batteries have different thickness and different replacement cover for the bottom of the Universal.

Extended Battery

I emailed NeuNeo.com for one of their CFII Extended Battery Wallet which suppose to be available for iPaq with sleeve capability. So I asked them if they have similar product that does the same thing for the XDA and XDA II.
They came back and asked me if our community needs something like extended battery, since they won't be making a CFII Extended Battery Wallet.
I told them about this site and have asked if the XDA community is interested in extending the battery life. This is what I'm talking about... http://www.neodigits.com/products/iPAQ/
Maybe if enough people are interested, they'll make it for us.
You know what would be REALLY great?
A belt holster with integrated battery. Think about it; a place to put your XDA, plus it recharges it. I really miss having a hard plastic holster as I had for my Nokia phones. The battery part would be a big bonus, but I'd take simply a holster.
I'm not impressed at all with the leather book holder/battery.
Wouldnt having a custom made battery be better see this
http://www.mobypower.com/menu04.html
maybe make a 3600 mah like the one for hp6300 series
That's a raw battery, with no holder or connector (other than a generic standard pad). This is just like the internal battery of the XDA II, though of course, you couldn't make it larger and still have it fit. I'd be happy with a batter that sticks out a bit, but it would still require a custom cover for the back.

Very very interesting...I'd buy it if was avaible for my Qtek2020...
this would be great but i would like to see it in a flip case like the one that comes with the xda2 put me down for one
I like that a lot, I was looking for something like that. I am in for that
Well, a couple interested is better than none. I'll let the manufacturer know.
I'm interested as well. More details to follow I hope.
Ed
NeuNeo Tech said that XDA uses a smart battery.
Does anybody know if other XDA II uses the same battery with different brand naming convention like MDA II. I need a list of similar battery that could be the same as XDA II. I'm not familiar with it.
Thanks.
I'll have some of that.

Are these Screen Protectors any good?

I have read through the various Screen Protector threads on here and would like to know if anyone has tried these and are they any good?

I have seen others where you get about 6 sheets but this states they are not a patch on this one.

I love exim spucs. I've used Martin Fields and Brando as well, and would say they're all excellent, almost nothing between them IMHO.
I just bought another Exim, lying right next to me actually.
This was the cheapest I could find. Probably fake, but looks real enough as I've had 5 or so!

PS make sure you get SPUC, not the thicker, cheaper Spac (don't know what they're called, that's English slang) ones

htc rafael 2400 or mugen 3000 battery for fuze?

The $2400 is $21 on eBay and the Mugen is $80.
The Rafael obviously seems like the better deal. How can anyone justify an additional 600mAh for $60??
Has anyone used the Rafael and what kind of case did you get for your thicker phone?
Mugen 3000mAh
I'll bite; I sprung for the Mugen 3000mAh battery. I think it's great (it comes with it's own battery cover, and admittedly does make the phone significantly more bulky).
I'm not a typical user even for these forums. I routinely tether my laptop to my phone via bluetooth for laptop internet access (two thumbs up for unlimited data plans) and I actually get quite usable speeds (I'm using that setup right now). Plus, I can send and receive calls at the same time. Also, I've got two accounts in the Pocket Outlook, and I've got Flexmail 4 with about 6 or 7 email accounts that sync throughout the day. In addition to that, I use spreadsheets and word documents on it as well as voice calls. So, frankly, I'll take all the power I can get!
When I take it to the gym, I use my Seideio (sp?) 2000mAh battery because it's a lot slimmer and does great with by bluetooth headphones (and I use it as an mp3 player; I'm not one of those types that talks on their phone the entire time they're supposed to be "working out"!).
So if you have to have all the power you can get, like I do, it's not that big of a sacrifice in size for the extra 600mAh. It does make a difference late in the day. Just my $0.02 though.
Good stuff BPB21.
What kind of case do you use for the 3000, if any at all?
Thanks for your help.
Cases
That's an interesting question. Typically I just keep it in my coat pocket at work, or pants pocket otherwise without a case. I've got one of those "Invisible Shield" screen protectors that has protected it even from my cat's claws (touch screen wasn't meant for cats, but no harm done). So typically I don't use a case.
However, I was just looking for some kind of waterproof case, I mean completely waterproof, for when I potentially go rafting and/or rock climbing. I can't vouch for any yet, but I've heard good things about the "Otterbox" cases. I don't plan on actually using the device while in the water of course, but it might be necessary to keep it with me. I'm kinda compulsive about that with my phones. So, as for cases, that remains to be seen. I think the Seidio 2000mAh battery would fit most anything (I don't know about the 2400mAh, but I'm sure I'll own one soon) as it really doesn't add much size at all to the phone. As for the Mugen 3000 mAh, well, I don't know what that would fit in. That battery and case make the phone a total of one inch thick the entire length of the phone. The Seidio battery and cover only add about 1/8th inch thickness in a 1&1/2" width and 1&1/4th" length on the back of the phone.
Anyway, if I find something good I'll post here; but for everyday use just the screen protector works well enough for me.
IF anyone has any suggestions for this battery and a case, i'd be grateful and interested as well. the stock cover that comes from mugen is crap with a capital C. it keeps sliding off.
I 2nd that...
This is true; it is really easy to knock the Mugen cover off. The one saving grace about that cover's design is that even if the cover comes loose you don't necessarily take the battery with it (at least in my experience). I would be interested if anyone can find a cover that fits the 3000 mAh battery. (I mean, other than the submersible Otterbox cases - those fit, but you can't really use the device...)
The phone (with a standard battery fitted) just fits into an otterbox 1000, which is the cheapest one they do. I got the transparent one but the phone screen is obscured. I keep it in the box whilst I work outside, with a waterproof bluetooth headset. It's a tough box.

I've actually taken the phone skiing (well, I didn't buy it a lift ticket or anything). It was in my ski jacket pocket (and I tend to do runs more advanced than I am) and despite my sometimes dramatic falls the phone held up well. So it's a pretty durable device, but I wouldn't do that every day with it.
Speaking of that Otterbox - I was looking at the same thing and trying to measure it from the given inside dimensions. Which way does it just barely fit: length, width, or thickness? I would think the phone would be just a bit too long for the case, but hopefully not? And then, if I had the Seidio 2000mAh battery (which adds maybe 1/8" thickness, if that) installed would that fit as well?
Otterbox 1900
Hi. I own an otterbox 1900. I´ve used it a lot with my Axim and after that with my Eten m700. I took it rafting, dirt biking on the mountains and snowboarding many times. You can charge the device while in the box, and use the device while keeping it protected by a clear rubber membrane.
The Fuze fits easy inside, but I have the stock cover and battery.

I bought one, I have it and it makes your phone look like a brick. hey, the Battery will last days but it is just Huge.
Big batteries
I've got the 3000mAh battery (by the way, I saw the 2400mAh battery on eBay; how does its size compare with the 3000mAh battery?). I use my phone heavily, all day. I'll connect it with my laptop via bluetooth to use internet sharing, sometimes I'll be talking on the phone at the same time, and I heavily use email on the phone, plus Word and Excel files and internet browsing, plus occassional testing and configuring of wifi routers using the phone's wifi, all on a given day. I'm not always near a charger so for me I need all the power I can get, even if it is only an extra 600mAh.
On the other hand, people routinely ask me "what is thbat?" (or more accurately, "what the hell is that?") when they see my brick of a phone. So yeah, it does make it quite bulky compared to even the 2000mAh battery. But if you're a power user and need all the extra you can get then it is worth it.
I complained to the guys at nakedcellphone.com and the guy sent me a new cover for the Mugen battery, have to say, amazing service. I should have given them kudos weeks ago. The new cover for the Mugen does NOT slide off and is very good.
Now, I need a hard case for this thing. Anyone know of a place I can get one?

How is the new cover different? Shaped differently or just fits more snugly, or both? I got mine from them, and it may be too late for me to complain since I've had it for a while now, but do you think they'd send me one if I asked? I'd even pay for it (not $60 or howevermuch, but some) if the cover is that good.
The best "hard case" I've found is by Otterbox, but I don't think that's the kind you've got in mind.
Let me know the details on that different Mugen battery cover; I could use that.

Does anyone have any pics of the Fuze with the larger capacity batteries installed?...David.
Here is a Few I just took. My Fuze has a Mugen 3000mAh Battery in it.

Nothing is different, I am guessing that the new one they sent just didn't fall off as much. Maybe the original one sent was defective.

I also saw that Mugen battery and drooled, but for $100... Amazon.com has a Cameron Sino 2400mAh battery for $20... 3000mAh is probably more a custom item to begin with, but a 600mAh increase for only $80?
I've used Cameron Sino batteries before -- never had a problem.
Good replacement case cover as well - it doesn't fall off...

A link to the Amazon battery would be nice, the only thing I was able to find on Amazon searching on the Cameron Sino 2400 battery is one for the Treo.

Touch Pro Case charger

Hey guys, I've googled this and had no luck. A friend of mine has purchased what I think is an ingenious little accessory. Essentially it is a snap on belt case/cradle for his phone with a battery attached to it. You pop the blackberry into the cradle/case (and it's about not obscenely large) and it charges the blackberry. At the end of the day, you take it home and charge the cradle)
I think this is an awesome alternative to having a huge battery attached to a phone. I would LOVE to have something like this for the touch pro, however have had no luck finding it.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has come across something similar for the TP.

Could you make something like this with a mintyboost, penlight batteries (or button cells or a nine volt radio battery!) and an existing case? A thing like that is on my TODO list as soon as I get a round tuit. All my existing tuits are triangular.
Edit: The mintyboost thing could go in one of my fannypack pockets with a cable going to the phone. How much do a few rechargable penlight batteries weigh? Nothing.
http://www.ladyada.net/make/mintyboost/
Edit: And here's a rechargable version http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-a-solar-iPodiPhone-charger-aka-Might
Bigger and bulkier, yes but would still be fannypackable <--IS THAT A WORD???
This would be very cool
Try this. A batterypack with a built-in charger

or one of these.

Is this BL-T7 I received really a genuine original LG battery?

I need your opinion urgently to determine what this battery is.
It got the following battery from eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Genuine.../322210284593?ssPageName=ADME:X:RRNTB:NL:3160
The original LG battery in my phone weighs about 43 grams. Is also has a sort of small bulge that makes it thicker than the replacement from eBay.
The replacement from eBay only weighs about 32 grams. This seems like a big difference to me.
However, the seller keeps insisting this battery is the real deal, and in fact it is a "newer version".
At this point I don't know what to believe. What do you guys think?
Also, anyone got an opinion on these batteries: http://www.etradesupply.com/lg/lg-g2-replacement-screen-battery-parts/lg-g2-d802.html?parts=231
All of them fake. Already have on XDA separate threads on this matter - for example. Search carefully next time. Weight and volume itself provides enough evidence - LiPol has no major improvement to have better capacity/density or capacity/weight.
Thanks for prompt response!
Guess I will tell the seller to stop lying and refund me haha
