I have install MS Voice command to my 9100 which is running the latest Cingular Rom from Submitter and I have a question. I realize that I cannot remove the old voice speed dial files since theya re in ROM but I wanted to remove the Reg key that makes the old voice dial settings icon appear in the registry but each time I delete the key in Total commander and then soft reset it's back. It's like it just won't die!!
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks,

I'd like very much to add a vibration to
the phone pad number of my Wizard.
I've tried the registry keys for winmobile 2003 but they don't work.
I've also tried Ezdial but nothing...
Does anyone know the windows mobile 2005 registry keys?
Thanks
hmm, my registry edits from my magician worked on my wizard! I'll attach a rar archive with two cabs inside. try vibrate cab file, it makes the changes for you. If you want the tones back, install the other one and the registry will be set back to your current values. remeber: After you make a reg edit, don't softreset or the changes will be lost. Better is to manually exit the regeditor by e.g. file-exit and not with the x in the upper corner. then soft reset or switch off and on by holding the power button 5 secs. Soft resetting directly after a regedit results in the edits not being saved in the ROM, hence no effect is seen.
wow! it works!
thanks very much.
bye
Thanks ! this registry edits work on my magician but I dont't that it was working on Wizard... Great !
Works great, thanks mate!
Is it possible to modify the cab-file so that you still get the vibrating number pad, but not the annoying beep when you press the red phone button?

hi
im making a cool phone skin for my jasjar...
the only thing is that ive mapped and replaced all the pictures (tabs or buttons whatever you wanna call it ) but cant seem to find and replace the voice call button..
when you hard reset youll notice that the dialer has a different skin than the one if you allow ext rom cabs ( the VTxxx.cab) to be installed..
there is something in that cab that not only signs on the intelli dialer but also adds the voice call button and the native dialer pad skin (note here ..that the colored button skin of the dialer pad is ALREADY present in the rom by default) but these are activated only after the installation of VTxxx.cab from ext rom
i was wondering
1) does any one know how to find /replace the voice call button
2)how can i enable intellidialer without the vtxx.cab ... through reg settings???
thanks
does anyone have any idea of getting the intellidialer to work without the cab from ext rom????
thanks
hi,
I'm working on the same problem. I haven't found out how to get rid of the video button though.
The blue skin at the beginning (when you input your pin) is the default phone skin from wm5. The one you see after the VT Plugin CAB is installed is the custom skin. The VT Plugin CAB seems to mostly just set those Registry Keys. Here is also where the Intellipad extension is activated.
You can activate or deactivate custom skins in the registry HKLM/Security/Phone
Just install the VT Plugin CAB from ExtendedRom and check out those Registry Keys that are set.
I was able to replace all buttons except the video button. All except the video button are in the ROM from the beginning. I decoded and dumped the ROM and deleted the carrierlogo.gif and replaced the buttons (most buttons could probably be remapped in the registry settings above also). Now when the VT Plugin CAB from T-Mobile is installed I have a new skin except for the video button (it's still the pink button from T-Mobile). If I find something out I'll let you know.
I'm assuming the video button is hard-coded in one of the phcan*.dll files. I will replace my t-mobile phcan*.dll files with the files from the qtek ROM and see if there's a difference.
BTW: how does your "cool phone skin" look?
ok, I can confirm that the video call button for intelli pad is hard-coded in the phcan*.dlls. I have now replaced the t-mobile dlls with those in the qtek rom and now I have the qtek (green) video button.
I also found that the transparency color settings must be in those dlls also. I had edited the qtek buttons after noticing that those pink corners were being shown when the t-mobile phcan dlls were there. Now with the qtek dlls the video button has proper transparency, but the edited buttons didn't. So if you use the dlls from qtek you will have to use the same pink color as a transparency color if you want the buttons to show properly.
Now I just need to find out how to edit the Today plugin from t-mobile (the t-mobile icon). When that's accomplished then I will have accomplished complete "unbranding" of my MDA Pro ;-)
hi
how could one edit the phcan**.dll... i tried opening it with resedit but that didnt work..
tia
here are the few pics..

You like Motorola donĀ“t you
Edit the T-Mobile Today Plug in
Try this url. It is in German but you can get the message.
http://maisfeld.de/mda/index.php?action=artikel&cat=4&id=71&artlang=de tit works i tried it substituted the tzones bmp for a normal IE one.
change this reg setting and you can rename the T-Mobile plug in as well.
HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Today/Items/"t-mobile"
use a reg editor to rename the "tmobile" to anything you want

OK I tried MS Voice Command, didn't like it & decide to get back to the old good Voice Speed Dial...
Unfortunately when i press a button on my BT headset it only brings up phone application - there's no possibility to use voice dialling
I tired to replace the registry string "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\VoiceCommand" with a sddaemon.exe and then with sddialer.exe - just for sure, but this solution didn't work
Can anyone check its own Wizard and come up with any solution?
I would appreciate pasting the actual correct registry keys from Voice Command section. Do I nedd to create a key called path or should I just place everything under default value? (I've already tried both....)

I installed the cab and then changed the file in the path for the original voice command. But pushing the button still brings up the phone... :|
Hi guys, I've tried editing my registry with regards to the A2DP issue with several softwares. Unfortunately, after rebooting the Trin (reset @ bottom of device), all changes I make seem to have disappeared.
I've used both Total commander and PHM as registry editor on the device itself and MobileRegistryEditor as a remote registry editor.
With the onboard reg editors I can make keys and add values but after reboot the entries have gone.
With the remote reg editor I can browse the reg without problems but get an access denied message when I attempt to edit anything...
For some reason or other I was able to add a MinSupportedBitPool setting one time. Don't know what was different that time around though.
Deleting keys also works as they stay gone once deleted.
It's just adding the keys that is making me go mad!!!

Thx ww2250, I didn't know this...
I had discovered meanwhile that if I used the reset option in the Trinityhacks app, I could make the changes stick, so this soft reset would be similar to holding down the power button apparantly.
Thx again
Yes indeed if you are doing a software reset, it will stick - the OS will flush the registry before restarting.
The msvoicecmd in bepe's rom is only for English user, I prefer to use cyberon voice commander 2.0 for Chinese command support. but the msvoicecmd is prior than cyberon when I press the talk key on the bluetooth headset each time.
Is there a way to remove or disable the msvoicecmd? I mean some registry modify, not modify the rom(it' hard to me), uncheck the "Enabled" option in the msvoice setting no help to call out the cyberon vc.
remove the msvoicecomand from the windows/startmenu/programs folder and it should work...
I did exactly the same to remove the Voice Speed Dial (rom default) and since then my Voice commander started to work...

go to \windows\startup\
and delete msvoice cmd from there and restart and the ms voice will not start thats the easiest way
it is no helpful, after I deleted the msvoicecommand shortcut in the startup folder.
msvoicecmd not popup again when I press the key on bluetooth headset. but the cyberon voicecommander not popup either.
