Before upgrading to the XDA Exec I was using an ipaq (hp2210) which had an ipaq audio adjustment under the settings section, which let you change the bass and treble levels and the mic settings. With a decent set of headphones it was a fairly good mp3/streaming audio player.
I can see the mic settings in wm5 but no audio adjustments. Was this just an ipaq thing or is there something for the XDA to do the same job? Have tried various audio players and fiddled with their generic settings but the results never seem to be as good as the old wm2003 settings.
Go to this page you will get the ipaq_audio.cab file

If you use WMplayer the setting will reset after each song.
I use it with Resco Radio, TCMP, Mortplayer no reset problem was seen
Enjoy
Thanks.....just what I was after!

Maybe this a silly idea but I was wondering if it would be possible to simply redirect the sound going to the speaker, when we play MP3, to go to the bluetooth headset by adjusting a parameter in the registry.
Let me explain my rationale. I recently installed a bluetooth toggle on my pc and paired it to my Jabra 258. I started the media player and was expecting mono sounds to come out of my earpiece. Of course nothing happened until I went to the options in the media player to send the sound to my bluetooth device instead of the sound card and voila I got sound.
Now of course no such option exists on the mobile media player but perhaps there is a registry setting that can be adjusted to send to the bluetooth instead of using the internal speaker.
I realise that this would be then hard coded and to play back to the speaker would mean adjusting the parameter in the registry but its better than nothing. I also realise that it would not solve our headset issue but having read through all the forums with regards to widcomm, bluesoil etc the embedded BT stack still has not been overcome.
I also undertsand the need for an audio gateway stack but from a laymans point of view it does sound simple.
I love my O2 XDA II mini that has been transformed into QTEK, I-Mate and then Anasky and half the fun is playing with the rom and the machine to get the best out of it. I don't really care much for WM 2005 but if some bluetooth issues can be resolved then its the perfect machine for me (apart from the camera).
Heres Hoping
Best regards to all and keep up the good work
Hi,
I've got the A2DP hack working on my charmer with an i-tech s35 adapter.
The sound is ok but not as good as a wired connection. There seems to be slight high frequency noise.
I've tried the registry fixes with regard to bitpool etc but they don't seem to make a difference.
Could anyone else with a2dp working on their charmer please confirm the quality they are getting.
Could it be that the registry quality settings don't work on a hacked a2dp or could the quality of the wma's have more of an effect whilst using a2dp rather than wired?
Also, the sound is quieter. is there a way to alter this in the registry?
cheers

I am also using A2DP hack on my charmer and on my prophet with motorola HT-820,
and you are right abut the sound quality.
it is definitely not as good as wired connection,
it is quieter, and it is have a kind of metalic sound in high frequency.
but i have tried using my friend's HP stereo headset for a while,
and the sound was a lot better.
can you tell me what registry settings do you changed in your charmer?
thanks.
Hi,
I tried the stuff posted here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-269638.html
I'm in the process of trying a different player that allows me to mess with the equalizer settings. (I can't get TCPMP equalizer to work and WMP10 obviously doesn't have one)

I use MP3 with bitrate from 96KBPS to 320KBPS (depend what song).
I have been using iTech Clip Radio BT headphone to listen MP3 song with Dopod D810 TC version. But the overall sound quality was not real 'STEREO', sound like 'Psudo-Stereo' or MONO-like.
Pls advise if there was any suggestion to improve. I have also tried the suggestion registry edit using 'UseJointStereo'. But there was no improvement.
Disappointed AD2P stereo effect from Dopod this time.....

If you search a bit on the forum, you will se that the standard settings for A2DP is joint stereo...
You can fix this by changing the settings in the registry
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=291384
(look the at keys there, and tweak a little if you want....
To just get real stereo, delete the jointstereo-key, or change the value to 0

Pls confirm if this really can solve the 'MONO-LIKE' sound effect. I have been modified the registry setting on 'Jointstereo' before but it did not solve the problem.
The joint stereo registry change DOES change the BT audio output to true stereo.
I'm using the iTech R35 BT audio adapter with the reg edit. There is a tradeoff though, in that the music sounds very metallic with JOINTSTEREO off, compared to previously. I can live with it, but it could be better..
Off topic, but I cant seem to get the R35 and D810 pairing to work with phone calls
hi all,
can anyone tell me how best to change the settings in PocketPlayer to allow me to use it with bluetooth headphones. At the moment the sound pauses every few seconds and the player itself is unresponsive most of the time, also if i press any button the music stutters, basically its unusable.
so far i have done the following;
with HTCustom, change the bitpool to 40 & normal stereo.
turned off dsp
turned off visualization
turned off equalizer
under the advanced settings there are loads of settings, does changing any of these help? i've tried changing a few with no great success.
Are there any other hacks within WM5 i can apply to get bluetooth stereo working well?
thanks in advance
Get iplay from 40th floor software--uses much fewer resources and sound is great. Also I have done what was recently posted in the hermes forum--delete the bitpool and set usejointstereo to 1 in WM6----sound is great now.
where to download this iplay, evertytime I open the website of this app my email client opens
you can get it from ppcwarez.
i've tried iplay but the problem is still there, though i agree it's less cpu intensive than pocketplayer and the audio clipping has nearly disappeared.
i think i'm going to upgrade to wm6 as it seems to handle bluetooth audio better.
I am in the same situation.
I've concluded that the Trinity has some bug with a2dp or bluetooth, as when you set the bitpool to some decent value, the performance goes down dramatically, even clicking the stylus interrumpts the sound.
As bjrmd stated before, you may try a light player (I'll do), as I've got different results with different players. Pocket Player is by now my best choice, as PocketMusic can't play with the equalizer on.
By the way, I've checked that setting bitpool isn't enough, you may also set MaxSupportedBitpool to the same value (or delete this entry). The higher the value, the slower the Trinity runs.
See some of the other threads regarding WM6 and the correct implementation of joint stereo. To get proper sound and bandwith you must use WM6 and the above settings.
I'm trying to stream audio via A2DP using the standard TF3D audio manager tab, which works fine except that Audio Booster doesn't work. When I try to enable it, a warning pops up saying that a headset isn't connected. This can be worked around by a registry tweak (or via HD Tweak) until a soft reset. However, it still doesn't work in that changing settings doesn't affect sound at all.
Is there a way to make Audio Booster work with A2DP?
Please don't advise using other media players, I know about them, tried them all, they are nice etc. etc. but this question is specifically about Manila's player and Audio Booster!
Is there any solution yet?

This shows the equalizer but it doesn't affect A2DP sound.
the same to me. You can do whatever you want with the booster, but that crappy AVCRP doesn't get changed.................... Grrrrrrrrrrr............. Need to shoot it!!!!!! :-( :-( :-(
