hi.
I use the programm ozvga to get realvga on the HTC universal.
but everytime I get to the realvga modus pocketmsn disappears. it really does. no hotmail account anymore, no today plugin, no settings. nothing.
when i go back to the normal VGA modus via ozvga it appears again as normal.
I don't know why. so why?
is there a possibility to make it work? tweak, registry?

I can't get ozvga to run properly at all on my MDA at the moment, which ROM are you using?
When I apply OzVGA my icons across the top disappear, and other icons appear oddly (wrong place etc).
Just tried MSN in this screwed-up realVGA mode, the result is

i use the latest english imate rom. but it also works with the german t-mobile rom and the german qtek roms and i guess every rom available.
i downloaded it from the ppc-welt.info forum ( http://www.ppc-welt.info/community/showpost.php?p=605676&postcount=93 ) and put all files but the cab and the programm itself to the windows directory.
than copy the cab to the temp folder and a shortcut of the programm to the starmenu.
then install the cab and go to realvga modus. mine always worked with this.

I have a MDA Compact and I used for long time the same ROM (JAM) as yours, and then I decided to try out the Qtek one (with radio 1.06). That's what I think:
- the qtek rom leave me more free RAM even with full extended rom customization installed
- the jam rom has a fax software that is missing in qtek one, but qtek hase pdf and ppt viewers that are missing in qtek rom
- qtek rom has BIG problem with bluetooth. I mean that if you disable it (by switching on airplane mode or by bluetooth icon and/or by some software as PocketZenPhone) it is NOT sure that you'll be able to switch bluetooth on again, even after a soft reset. You'll need a very annoying hard reset.
About Italian ROM 1.11 I have not found it yet, but I did this:
I got Italian MA_DANG_ITA_10604_119_10500_Ship.EXE , I expanded it in a folder (if you have winrar installed, just right click on EXE file) and then I did the same for MA_Dangaard_WWE_11100_129_11100_Ship. Now take radio_.nbf from WWE_11100 folder and put it in ITA_10604 folder. Find MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe around in the forum, and use this file to upgrade your Magician from ITA_10604 folder. The first time you run it it will take your Magician to serial mode and give and error. Launch a second time and it will work.
Telling the truth, if you think you'll switch on/off bluetooth a lot of time, I don't recommend you this upgrade, also because I've NOT been able to come back to JAM ROM.

I mean to use 1.03 ITA (Imatejam) + 1.11 radio stacks (Qtek).

Hey guys, i've loaded the jamin rom onto my 818pro and my phone doesn't hang and is alot faster now. But i have a prob, i need the autoconfig cab file found in the ext rom coz i need to set up for my mms settings as i frequently use MMS. Can somone help me extract the autoconfig cab file from their dopod 818pro ext rom and post it on the thread plz? Will be very grateful to you guys. Thanx!
Hi, you need not run the autoconfig - just run the necessary extrom files from dopod for your telco - eg for Singtel - run the 2 singtel cab files. However, you must run them before the extrom files of Jamin. Even if you perform the autoconfig after the Jamin extrom, the telco config will not be set right.
So the steps are: after your hard reset, skip the extrom update. run the cab for your asia telco, then run cabs from Jamin extrom. It works for me everytime as I have done it on my dopod for both roms - Qtek-S200 and now Jamin.

Have unlocked the extended rom on an m600 using Buzz's rom unlocker (nice work mate), and have removed files, but cant seem to get the cab files i want in there to run, they look like they are running but dont actually do anything.
Anyone had this problem, if you haevhow did you solve it.
I used aWizard on my M600. The Extended rom is then on your PC, transfer selected cab's to SD card and they run ok. The only ones I have activated are enable Edge Icon and disconnect GPRS.

I have cooked my own ROM for my E-TEN M700 with Windows Mobile 6.1 inside. It can be found here: http://eten-users.eu/index.php?showtopic=14257
The Problem
There is only one issue I can't find any solution for! By default E-TEN comes with an application very simelar to autorun.exe for HTC devices or the great UC tool in order to automatically install OEM packages from ExtROM. It is called CustomInit. Ufortunatelly I had to discover that none of the mensioned tools works. CustomInit returns with XML-parse error, but there is no mistake in the oem.xml. UC2.0 tells me something about failures, too.
Indead I discovered installing cab files manually after hardreset does not work. Even microsofts WrlsMgr.exe does not start. After rebooting the device once, everything is ok. Running UC2.0 again (by resetting registry values,...) works perfect.
The Question
Can anybody explain me, why I can't install any cab files just after hardreset? Why must I reboot once in order to make cab installation work?

I was looking into getting a new contact application for my Dopod 818 because the one I currently have (the default) doesn't work very efficiantly.
I have read in a few places that iContact works well with windows mobile 2003 but I haven't had any luck due to it not being a valid CE application. I was wondering, which version of icontact is required for it to install properly?

but it doesn't work...
when I uninstalled it...
the main program of contacts was damged..................
and it show an error msg:
connot find :mscontacts(or one of it's component).........etc

You can not use the latest version of Icontact, it will not work, and it will unninstall your mscontacts.
So do and hard reset (back up your data before ) and use the Icontact 0.64 only
