Hi all,
I've just bought a new bluetooth headset H700 to pair with my O2 mini.
H700 has the capability to switch on/off just by flipping the mic flap.
When a call comes in with the o2 bluetooth already switched on, I flip the flap open and I should be able to take the call directly through H700. When flip on, I could hear the ringtone, but the call was not answered unless I tap on the "answer" button on the mini. If I press the button on the H700, it will ignore the call instead.
Could anyone advise a getaround? Really appreciate it.

Friends,
I have the EXEC and when im using TOMTOM i receive a call, does anyone know how to answer it and Enable the handsfree speaker? I found that i was driving, and i got the call alert and pressed Answer, however i had to pick the exec up, and use it as a normal hand-ear. Anyway of enabling Hands Free?
MANY THANKS
Try holding the Green Button until the speaker is activated + - 3 Seconds
Then switch of Aircon / radio / close the window ...
I must say that Radio 1.06.00 improved the Speaker volume

or buy a bluetooth headset (circa £30 these days) and configure the auto answer feature.
Even without auto answer on my MDA Pro interupts TomTom with the usual call anouncement and I simply hit the button on my headset to accept the call.
i'm having the same problem..
when i use tomtom with bt gps.. and my bt headset.. i cannot make or answer any calls..
the ringtone doesn't sound normal either.. (no continues ringing)
multiple bluetooth devices problem?
TomTom & Nokia Car Kit
I have a similar problem,
I am using a Nokia CK-7w BT Car kit, and a generic BT GPS receiver.
Upon receiving a call, the phone rings as normal, swtiches the stereo off and I take the call - however once on the call I lose the connection to the GPS receiver.
IT must be possible for the two devices to work together as I always receive the calls through the Car Kit.
Any ideas?

Dunno, my O2 Exec with Tomtom 5.2 has no problems. I use a globalsat receiver and currently a Moto HS820 headset, (previously a Jabra BT200, but I broke that).
Navigates fine, when I recieve a call, tomtom is muted, the exec and the headset ring, I press the answer button on the headset, and can take the call, Tomtom will continue to navigate without voice prompts. Finish the call via headset button again and Tomtom becomes un-muted and continues as before.
So the Exec version of the universal at least is more than capable of managing the tasks you require via multiple bluetooth connections. I run in corporate mode if that makes any difference.
tomtom 5?
Im using tomtom 5.21 (i think) with a Bluetooth handsfree kit. Jabra over the ear type. When a call comes in and TomTom is runnin a message flashes up on screen notifying of incoming call. I can answer the call using the soft answer button on screen or by pressing the pickup button on my headset. When I do the message on screen goes away and TomTom carries on just with the sound muted. When I hang up by pressing the call button on my headset TomTom unmutes itself.
Certainly with a bluetooth handsfree kit I have found tomtom works really well.

Hi
Try Holding the Green answer button for about three seconds
That should activate the Loudspeaker ...
Radio 1.06.00 is nice as it improves the speakers loudness you mifght want to upgrade your radio stack if you haven't done so yet
When I press the button on the BT headset to answer incoming call the ringing stops on the caller end and on the cingular 8125 (rom 2.25), but there's a 2-3 second delay before the phone actually connects the call to the BT headset.
On the caller side they have 2-3 seconds of dead airtime, after the ring stops. Because of the connection delay, the caller is already saying hello - hello - hello (etc) thinking the call has been answered.
I've tried 3 different bluetooth headsets (Moto 850, Plantronics 645 & 655, Jabra JX10) and they all experience the same problem.
I've verified it's not associated with the 3 second ring delay issue (posted on XDA) - phone rings almost immediately.
Any thoughts, recommendations, hacks/tweaks will greatly be appreciated. This is becoming more of a problem, as I use my phone mostly for business.
Otherwise the phone has been outstanding.
BT headset delay
I have the same issue with T-mobile MDA and Jabra BT250V. Not only does the delay confuse callers, but they hear the ring tone and buzzing of the vibrator before they hear me... hello...hello...hello. It really sucks.
I have tried a Motorola headset (H350) the delay is shorter but the headset sound quality sucks. I was going to try the Jabra JX10 next and hope for the best.
I've also tried using the "BT on" feature of PocketZenPhone to avoid the delay. Not a satisfactory solution.
Does anyone have a solution for this? Is anyone answering calls on their BT headset and getting a quick connection? Is this just me?????

i have the moto HT820 stereo bluetooth headset and experience nothing like that, even when running my bluetooth gps reciever... the call is answered as soon as i hit the button... only problem i have is the lagging and skipping music, but i dont listen to music so its not a problem
My H700 delays on both of my Qteks (Wizard and Prophet). It only delays if I close the boom. If I leave the headset with the boom open it picks up right away when I press the side button. With the boom closed when it rings, I find that if I open the boom I have to wait 2-3 seconds for the sound to transfer. If I open the boom and press the button, 2-3 seconds it will hang up on the caller because I guess opening the boom is picking it up already
However, my HT820 stereo headset doesn't have any of those problems. Quick and easy, picks up right away; however there's no boom. My Bluespoon AX5 doesn't delay either.

I had a bt250, and that delay is a known problem with the bt250,possibly making the problem worse
Hi All: I have paired the headset fine with my phone and made calls before but I can not switch a call from the handset to the headset while a call is already in progress. Once I end the call, I can pair the headset fine to make a NEW call but I'm having problems switching the call when it is already in progress. I can go to the phone and manually switch it to hands free but I thought that if I powered on the headset while a call was already in progress, that would route the conversation from the handset to the headset. Is that correct or can it not do this without some tweaking? Thanks.
I have the same setup and I can answer the call on the phone, then "open" the H700 and the phone re-directs the call thru the headset within about 2 seconds from opening the headset.
If I'm on the headset, I can press and hold the call button on the H700 and the call goes on hold. I can "close" the headset and then un-hold the phone using the touch screen and resume the call on the 8525.
Now I believe that the standard bluetooth stack is crap, and I have had many instances where the phone just stops linking the Bluetooth. I can usually restore the link just by using the comm manager to turn off the bluetooth radio, then turning it back On. I have even done this during a call and it worked.
I have always had solid, loud audio with the H700, BUT, several callers have mentioned that my voice was often clipping a word every few seconds. I don't know what that's all about.
Do you know whether you need to select any special settings or do anything special in the pairing setup with the phone or headset? I do not know how to have the conversation directed to the headset after turning it on when I am already on the call. It works fine to start a new call or to answer a call directly through the headset but can't join a call in progress. Would appreciate anyone's help. Thanks.
love this phone but don't know if i have a problem or i'm just using it wrong and i'm an idiot,
i use an o2 blue hands free bluetooth and when i get an incoming call it rings nicely in my ear and i press button on the o2 blue and answer the call and it all works beautifully.
however if i'm making the call, i dial the number on the phone press green phone button and the bluetooth doesn't kick in the call stays on the phone.
(you don't press anything on the bluetooth as it don't work that way)
is this a bug or is there a specific way to make a call on the handset so the bluetooth kicks in??
(apologises in advance if i'm missing the blindingly obvious)
Hi, Scottydog -- I've been using the P6500 with a Bluetooth headset (Plantronics Voyager 815) without any problems. Though to the extent that things don't work properly, I have the opposite problem: when I _make_ calls with the headset connected, all is fine; but when I _receive_ them, calls initially go to the handset and I then have to choose "Turn Hands-free On" from the right soft-key menu to get the call on my headset.
Have you tried doing this after you dial calls?
Wish I had something better to suggest!
