Replacement Bluetooth Icon service for WM2003SE

Hi,
here's the replacement for the bluetooth icon shown in the taskbar.
It doesn't improve anything. It just contains other BT icon set... ehm... which I just drawn.. )))))
It should run on WM2003SE devices with MS BT stack, but i only tested it on my XDA2 with 2.06SE

It is not that easy, coz the dll is used by the system and locked for deletion. So if you just uninstall it, it says, that it can't delete it...
You must edit your registry manually to disable my dll first and then uninstall it from Start -> Settings -> System -> remove programs.
It's a bit hard to deal with these system files. It is not like if you have some regular app, which you just install and then uninstall... (
1. Correct your registry to default:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\BTIcon]
"Dll"="BTIcon.dll"
2. Reset

have been having this missing BT icon since I first had my JAM. Previously Buzz's headset enabler brought my BT icon back but after a hard reset and install the BT icon is missing again even with Buzz's headset enabler. Will try this replacement BT service cab and report.

BT Icon sometimes doesn't load after soft-reset
Hello Buzz! 8)
Fine work with your Icon... I have found the new icon after flashing my Italian Qtek 2020 to the ROM cooked by Dr.Stein for Brix03 with WM2003SE... in fact in his extended ROM there is your CAB. But Sometimes the Icon disappear, and more on, about 50% times I make a softreset, your Icon doesn't appear in my tray. But Bluetooth works smooth, the same. How can I start the icon independently? Thank you!

WM5 Themes "Origami Suite" (ROM 2.17 or higher)

Have you ever taken a look at the gallery section over on www.origamiproject.com ? It's filled with a bunch of pretty nice-looking wallpapers for UMPCs, but UMPCs aren't available until much later, rendering these small wallpapers useless... until now. I've picked ten different images from that gallery and customized themes for each of them (creating eleven themes total). I also enhanced the themes to fit in with a somewhat universal layout for the today screen.
Keep in mind that these themes are designed for Wizard users with the latest Qtek ROM (2.17 or higher) installed! The reason I say this is because the date on the today screen takes up two lines in the newer ROM, and the today screen background reflects the position of the date bar. If you're confused, take a look at the previews below, you'll see what I mean.
Anyway, as I was saying before, each theme has carefully selected colors to best match their backgrounds, and all of them work in both portrait and landscape mode. I tried my hardest to smooth out the gradients that sometimes give problems on PPC screens. Oh, and I also thought of a cheezy name for each one. The previews along with a ZIP of all the themes are attached to this post, so go crazy. And if you haven't updated to the latest ROM yet, shame on you. Go do it, you won't regret it.
P.S. - If anybody knows how to skin the Phone screen (where you dial the number and everything), PLEASE let me know. It really, really clashes with a lot of these themes...
AND... if anybody knows how to make the date take up only one line, move the clock to the top, and put the battery back at the bottom, that would be amazing. That way I could re-make all these themes so that they could work with EVERYBODY that has a WM5 device!
very nice. just applied the first theme on my exec
Great job with the themes! I hope you are able to find out about skinning the phone screen and reducing the Date Bar to one line.
Beautiful yanathin! Thanks for putting the effort into these great themes.
very clean look you have going on there.
Are those icons along the bottom just regular shortcuts? If so I'm gonna have to look into how to do that myself.
great work!
Thanks for the compliments everybody! Yes, the bottom basically acts like SBSH iLauncher or SPB Pocket Plus's launcher. It's a single part of the PHM PowerToys ( http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/PowerToys/ ) called "TrayLaunch." You'd be utterly amazed at how fast this device runs WITHOUT SPB Pocket Plus installed, even without a "real" close button.
Amazing themes and even better work yanathin!!
Yes great work !
Thanks
Really nice ones, allready installed, thx !
change background dialpad
I haven't found a way to change the keys of the dialpad yet but i have a simple way to change the background of your dialpad in combination with plain darkgrey keys:
Download the attached file and run it on your mobile to get the darkgrey "keys" from Vodafone, these keys match best with whatever background you want to use:
(file is also at: ftp://xda:[email protected]/Wizard/Misc/Vodafone_dialpad.zip)
Next you create in MS Paint / Photoshop or whatever program you like, two BMP image files with the following properties, you can use any file as background.
- name: "Bkgnd_Port.bmp" / resolution: 240x268 pixels (portrait)
- name: "Bkgnd_Land.bmp" / resolution: 320x188 pixels (landscape)
Copy these files to the \windows folder on your mobile and overwrite the existing vodafone skin.
After a soft-reset your dialpad has changed!
I changed mine to plain gray:
I love those themes!
for dialpad skins, take a look at http://www.zombienexus.net/

As far as i know it's a cab from German Vodafone. It works perfectly with my Dutch NL ROM, therefor i think it should also work with a WWE ROM because it just gets the language of the ROM-version.

OzVGA

Hello,
i´am new in this forum and my English is not so good.
I try to explain you my problem. I made a cab to install OzVGA on the Ameo it works but i have some failure.
* Icon "Soundlevel" is not available
* Icon "Network" is not available
* CommManager is blurred
Maybe there is someone who can help me or somebody knows the way to switch the icons in the title bar a litttle bit to the left side. I guess the problem with the icons is being caused by shortage of space.
Screenshot
You might try looking in the universal forums. There were some screend fixes for OzVga when the universal came out. Also, VJ555 made some different screens for use with OZVga and True VGA.

I have installed your *.cab file. I have the same problems.
Excuse the simple question..... but is the device better with Ozvga and the problems, than without it installed and how do you overcome the lack of icons?
Many Thanks
Tim
I guess it is better with OzVGA and the problems. I`ve installed SPB Pocket Plus and use it to change the volume. When i want to see the status of the Network i put the Keyboard on the Ameo, the Symbols in this mode are o.k. or i try to dial and wait what happens ;-)
I guess it has more advantages than disadvantages and there is no risk, you can change back to SeVGA every time.
Hi Bigsmart and thanks for the info

My little WM6 settings cab...

Files include the default WM6 alarm wavs, the original ringers including oldphone, Schap's purple theme (thanks!), the "no sounds" wavs to stop those menu clicks, Smartskey copied to \Program Files (but not activated), startclean to \Startup to remove program history and the green welcomhead.95 splash screen.
Reg tweaks include..
Notifications - removed "Connection Established" and set "Incoming Mail" to Alarm3
Sounds - disable annoying beeps when changing call volume or dropped calls
Inbox - disabled account selector, empty deleted items set to manual, return to inbox when deleting.
Pocket IE - temp files, history and cookies stored on storage card, Cleartype and search set to google.
Sleuth's google tweak for Windows Live Search
Screen size set to Largest, ClearType enabled including Landscape.
TimeZones tab displayed and enabled.
Battery removed from Today screen and replaced with clock and clock displayed on all screens.
Backlight changed from 30 seconds to 1 minute
Also, glyphcache is set at 32768, file system cache untouched, IR Beam turned off.
Cingular keyboard settings
This isn't for everyone, just wanted to share!
(Thanks to those that update the WIKI, parts came from my Blue Angel and Wizard daze )
edited 10-30-2007 DP_WM6 with Vibrate is a slightly modified WM6 cab with AT&T Splash removed, Security Policies modified for unsigned cabs and RAPI access (Mobile Registry Editor won't give a "access denied", HSDPA icon (when available) and also, with Schaps' permision, his neat looking com manager vibrate file. Schaps Vibrate is renamed to allow installing this into a ROM that already has Vibrate. Delete either my Schaps_TrayIcon_MannerMode or TrayIcon_MannerMode from \Windows\Startup. BTIcon, latest XMMobiResetter and Landscape Cleartype are included. This is the same cab as the DP_WM6 with Vibrate & Batteryguage without the RandomAccess and Batterguage.
edited 10-16-2007 DP_WM6 with Vibrate
Added new cab with clean 3G Icon, latest xmmobitvresetter in \Windows\Startup. Also made the BTIcon a shortcut per Kyphur's suggestion. Also, Schaps Vibrate is renamed to allow installing this into a ROM that already has Vibrate. Delete either my Schaps_TrayIcon_MannerMode or TrayIcon_MannerMode from \Windows\Startup.
Also included is a barebones registry and clean 3G cab, no files except for the clean 3g file.
edited 10-31-2007 DP_WM6 with Vibrate & Batteryguage
Removed the themes and Samsung Clock. Added TWEAKCL.EXE to \Windows\Startup for Landscape Cleartype. Also added ClearType Tuner to the Control Panel and the RandomAccess Grey files, also BTIcon, latest XMMobiResetter and the Alarrm 1-5 files.

I would really like to include your Cingular settings but my WinCE Cab Mangler only shows phcanOverbmp.dll and nothing else... I think you used a xml file that I just can't see with WCM ???
And if Scnaps OK's me using his nicer vibrate exe from his ROM I'll be set... this does indeed cut a considerable amount of time from my frequent flashes, many times on the side of I95 when I get a ...hmmmm... iffy ROM ......

Wince does not like these...
My findings for settings
Nice job !
In between multiple flahes of various roms I found a big relief in skipping the first windows dialogs with date, mail, touch calibration etc. by adding a blank file "welcome.not" in the root of the storage card and add the touch settings [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH\CalibrationData] in my own settings cab.
It works very well for me, so I thought I'd share it.

[APP][WWE][Updated 08/18/2008] HTC Action Screen VGA for Diamond (Raphael Icons)

Hi all,
since I find the Actionscreen feature from the Touch very useful, i thought i'd try to port it to VGA.
With the help of l3v5y in the Prophet forum I figured out everything to do was to resize the graphics and change some RegKeys.
The only thing I couldn't change was the font size, so this is a bit tiny...
I also included the Action Screen in TFlo 3D's Home menu on the left softkey, how it's stated here by mooooooa
I built two cabs one English and one german (since I am from Germany). Other languages can be easily done by editing the corresponding RegKeys.
EDIT:
Forgot the Screenshot...
It's the German Version as you can see.
EDIT:
Since I got a couple of PMs asking how I mapped Wifi Toggle to the right softkey, I'll share it here:
Used the Wlan Button of Raiisak from here and mapped it to the Right softkey using the same method as stated above.
EDIT:
Other Localizations:
Italian by massi959
Norwegian by drerling
Italian by lele.d with big font
To do your own Localization just download the English version and the Locale Reg and translate the Values. Keep in mind that the 5 spaces before each value are for positioning, since the app is badly hardcoded for 320x240 resolution.
EDIT:
Thanks the idea of lele.d I uploaded a new German Version. This one cannot be localized through the reg files since the RegValues are in fact empty and the text is included in the graphics.
So give me some time and I'll do the available localisations, or if anyone of you would...
Also in the new Cabs there is the MMSLauncher.exe linked to the MMS button, since the original key just started an SMS. Also thanks to lele.d.
New Version:
- Raphael style
- Wifi toggle by raiisak included
- Installation to Internal storage possible
- Three localisations included (Deutsch, Englisch, WWE)
- Actionscreen Options included (set background, assign TF3d Home softkeys including custom app)
- zip containing background PSDs for other localisaations (pm me and I'll include them here)
TODO:
- Find a proper file/folder selector (any recommendations appreciated)
- Full customisattion support (theming)
screenshot please?
Thanks again, you are my heros
hi dou you think the font can be changed some way to be bigger?
I also had a look at this a while ago and the fonts appear to be hardcoded and not changeable.
