Does anybody know a simple button push that can put my phone into flight mode (and turn it back off again)?
For a long and boring reason I have to put my phone into Flight mode a lot, and trying to get this to work by tapping the signal strength meter at the top of my screen is a hit & miss affair. So what I am looking for is a full proof way to easily turn the flight mode on & off.
Look forward to hearing from you experts
Moko - I use(d) to use PhoneAlarm. But hopefully my program VJVolubilis now contains a flight mode switch. I use a dual sim that switches by FlightMode, so I can tap twice quickly to switch sims.
Someone said it doesn't work perfectly on their phone, but it works well for me. Let me know if you try it...
Apologies for the ugly screenshot, it was for someone who wanted a copy of my NotesToday skin:

musiccube: PhoneAlarm or PocketZen. Your choice, but pros and cons have already been debated. I like PhoneAlarm. This is mine at the top:

Hi!
Does anybody know a way to have a shortcut which will toggle (on/off) the Phone's Radio and/or the Bluetooth and/or the WiFi and/or Infrared?
Thank you
No such software I suppose?
vjvolubilis
try out battery status from http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_BatteryStatus_XDA_Neo_WM5_iM_cs.htm
you can have some icons right at the bottum of the screen to turn what you want on & off.

The answer of ww2250 was EXACTLY what I was looking for because I don't want to have many programs loaded into the memory.
Never a single word answer was so helpful as this...
Thanks
Same thing but for WM6 please
Hi
i'm looking for a tool that switch the Radio automatic to off, when no signal from the provider is receiving.
HTC Diamond2 with WM 6.1
How would the device then know when to switch back on again when a signal is received again?
The radio has to be on and scanning to determine if there is a signal or not.
Not sure I understand the purpose of what you're asking.
How would the device then know when to switch back on again when a signal is received again?
Click to collapse
Love it, impeccable logic

I'm also looking fore something similar. With the added feature of turning on radio and scanning for reception improvement after x minutes.
Right now at work my reception is crap. This drains battery like crazy. Witch means I have to ceep the phone hooked up all day long. If i forget my phone is basicaly dead when its time to go home.
And all this without userinput of PIN-code.
I am trying to find an app or widget for data on/off toggle. Whenever I lose 4glte and my phone switches to 4g or anything worse, I can toggle the airplane mode to get it back faster then waiting for it to do it itself. I have found data toggle apps, but they they don't work the same. If I have 4g and use the data toggle, it comes back as 4g. But if I use the airplane toggle, it comes back to 4glte. But it takes forever to switch. I am looking for an app that will work like the airplane but faster.

I use an app called 'Power Toggles'.....
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.painless.pc
It creates a homescreen widget where you can select any combination of 'buttons' you need (airplane mode included) and the skin is fully customizable to fit in with any theme you might be using......

In crowded places or when using some public transit, you can miss the phone calls because of the loud surrounding noise suppressing the sound of the ringtone.
EMUI comes with a solution to this problem in the form of Pocket Mode.
Pocket Mode - This option uses the proximity sensor located near the earpiece of the phone and automatically increases the ringtone volume and vibration alert for incoming calls as soon as you put your phone into your pocket.
How to enable ?
1. Phone Dialer Menu

2. Goto Settings
3. Enable Pocket Mode.
Enable this mode so as not to miss your important calls.
