Hi people, i´have a problem with one of these machines. I unlocked 3 like this, but in this one, the unlocking progress end correctly but always said on the display when i put a simcard " datablockig, contact your service center"
Anybody knows anything please?

I have a t-mobile mda compact on contract, which i only got for the phone. I use my o2 sim card in it. Last Friday i lost my mda compact with my o2 sim card in it. I phoned up t-mobile and got the phone blocked then phoned o2 and got my sim blocked.
Then i went and got a new o2 sim card and used it in my c500. The next day i got a phone call from a friend of mine and he said that someone had phoned him saying that he had my mda compact!! lucky me!!
I then collected my mda and put my o2 sim card in it and it worked fine. I still carried on using my c500 as the stylus for my mda was not there with the phone.
Then last night while i was at work my c500 broke and wont stay on for any longer than 10secs. I thought lucky that i have my mda, but when i put my 02 sim card in the mda this morning my mda wont pick up a signal. I have also tried other sim cards in the mda but none work.
I phoned t-mobile and they assure me that my phone is unblocked. o2 say that i may need to get a new phone??
I'm a bit confused as to what could be wrong.
Is it possible that my phone is locked to t-mobile again??
Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated
just do a reset
if it wouldnt help make a hard reset (holding power button + reset button with stylus)
I've already done a hard reset but still the same. There is a exclamation mark next to the signal icon, any ideas what that means??

well well i did a upgrade to my rom and ext rom now i got the same " ! " mark next to the network signal on my phone and same it would not pick up any signals
so is my phone also locked

MDA compact issue.
Just saw your post on the XDA forum re: no MDA signal after loss.
I work at T-Mobile (UK) head-office in Hatfield and while I’m not in Customer Services (or even a customer facing role!), my job as a Transmission Network Planning Engineer does give me access to all the systems that I could help you out.
While I don't actively post to these forums (yet) I have been keeping up with the PDA/Mobile scene since the beginning.
Worst case scenario, even if I can’t help I could confirm the status of your IMEI bar or SIM block, etc and pass you internally to the appropriate team.
My direct extension is 01707 313319, (switchboard - 01707315000) however I am finishing work at 5.30, so you are welcome to ring me tomorrow.
I know how frustrating it can be to get nowhere especially with an MDAc and cust-serv, so I’d be glad to help.

I'm in the uk and have an i-mate JAM which does just about everything I want - apart from Blackberry.
I've tried the v1.2 blackberry connect s/w from O2 on it - it loads and doesnt give any errors but doesnt generate a PIN, and doesnt display an IP address.
I've had blackberry enabled on my sim by vodafone (my provider) and Ive setup a new GPRS connection with the apn of blackberry.net
I can't seem to get the desktop software to talk to the jam either - and when I click on the 'start' button on the connect software on the JAM it attempts to connect and then just disconnects.
Any ideas anyone? I really want this to work - is there a workaround that anyone knows about?

Hi, I`ve the same problem. German T-Mobile ROM and Blackberry Client from the blue angle (T-mobile Version). The blackberry client starts normaly, but it is not generatin a BB-Pin. It always says "Aufwartung" whatever this means. The IMEI is displayed correctly.
Has anyone an idea?

there is no desktop software for the non RIM blackberry devices, and your best alternative for instant email would be alwaysonmail.com until a client is released from RIM for use on the Magician.

Welcome to the club. A friend from a german ppc forum told me, we won't get any success, cause T-Mobile put BB in the ROM Upgrade just for MDA II & III. Even we have the CAB file, it will not work as long as someone here changes a responsible part in the registry. Just installing the CAB won't work.
But I don't understand T-Mobile. They would earn much more money (as they already do), if they would offer this service to MDAc users - and they are not less! So we may have to hope for an update...

RIM refuse to provide support for BB on Magician, to carriers. No RIM support means no software ever.
Why? I dunno, they're canadian aren't they....

Hi! The tool lokiwiz 0.2b works fine. I can use the MDA for with my provider in Austria but always when i turn on my phone (book in to the service net) i get a service messege(sms called NETWORKMESSAGE or in german Netzwerknachricht) form my provider with something like <O> when iam in the Austrian State Oberösterreich. <W> when iam in the state Wien. ANd <N> when iam in Niederösterreich. So i am sure that this is a information message where iam.
Knows anybody how i can stop this kind of messages.???

I have the same thing too. But it seems to be happening when I've not use my phone for a long period of time (e.g. doesn't give me the message everytime I switch on the phone) It seems to be some messages from the network. I have it from my UK O2 network as well, it gives me a bunch of number which seems like telephone area code.
BTW, I think you might want to change the title for this. I don't think it has anything to do with the unlocking. BTW, i unlock my phone with loki too.
hello, I've an mda compact II, simlocked and with english rom, I try to unlock it with lockwiz, but I failed, after I try to upgrade the rom in italian rom, I try with a wizard rom because I read a topic where peope write that it's the same rom and that I can upgrade my mda with that.
So I run the upgrade and at the end the phone swiched off and now I can't swith on it!!!!!!!

wizard roms do not work on this phone, they paperweight it. you need to send the phone back to HTC or T-Mobile to get it fixed.

t-mobile will just ask you to contact them. I'm on O2 and I've got my charmer off ebay. And, later there is a problem with the speaker that requires me to send it for repair. I purposely get hold of my self a T-mobile PAYG SIM card so that I can call up t-mobile to have my charmer repair/replace. After all the fuss of getting an internet account, numbers and password pin, the give me the htceurope number. Sigh.
Anyway, try their web page case report thing. the last time I tried it, it doesn't work so I have to call them instead. And, calling them seems to be problematic too, as there aren't usually people around getting the calls. try calling them early 10-12 in the morning (not around 900), and leave a message on their answering machine. They will respond to you the next day. The experience with then aren't that bad. So, good luck
I am using Sony Xepira ( Middle -East) black & while sending text msg, receipient get same 2-4msgs....which cause problems? & my bills gets charged unfortunately.. Can someone help me with the urgent solution?
it's possible to be from your network , so it gives "unsent" status to your phone , and the phone tryes to send it again , and again until it receives "sent" from your network.
This might be a solution , i am not shure of it.
Dear it's nothing related to my network, beacuse when I remove the SIM from my X1 & insert it in another mobile and it works perfect ..
I went to my network provider & we made the testing , it's from the X1 mobile..it might be software problem ...not only my mobile but few friends of mine are facing the same issue...
Can anyone help me with this issue?

I too have similar issues only using my X1 and would be keen to understand this as my provider is also saying they cannot see a problem in the network and it only happens with the X1.

It's not a network provider problem, it's something related to the X1
You could either try a hard reset, perhaps you installed something wrong.
If that doesn't work, you could go a step further and flash it - but I'm not sure if that is what you want to do
The final option is always returning it to the factory, asking a new one.
some of my old phones done this when i went holiday to cyprus.
