Hi all just updated my MDA Pro on T-Mobile to UNI_QTEK_WWE_13077_130176_10900_WWE_Ship.exe. Push update works great with 4Smartphone. However, when under Sounds & Notifications for New e-mail messages, using the Flash light for 'No Limit' I am finiding that at first receiving an email the LED flashes red. However, after a varing time between 20 - 60 mins the LED returns to green. There I have to open the MDA to check if mail has arrived with the last hour. Never had this problem before, an ideas or reg hacks?
Thanks for taking the time to read this, any help appreciated.

I normally have my Mini S on suspend when it's in the pouch. I have for some reason been unable to recieve messages. The last SMS I got was from O2 when I turned the phone on the 1st time. Can anyone help me out on this? I don't really need MMS...just SMS.
Not receiving? or not getting the notification?
If its not receiving, how long has it been? networks sometimes get screwed up and hold messages in the server for ages. having said that "since i first turned the phone on" sounds like longer than 24 hrs.
Put the sim in another phone (if poss) - does it work?
I cant think of any real settings for SMS, they just arrive! If the SMS works in another phone follow it up here and hopefully someone will eb able to help. if it doesn't work in another phone, its a network issue - call O2.
If its the notifications you are missing, let us know - thats much easier!
I will give it a go in another phone but it's been a week since I turned the phone on. I'm not totally sure what you're referring to as notifications but I just don't see any messages when I go to the Text Messages folder in POE.
Ok...here's what I did, I stuck my sim into my friend's mobile and no backlog of SMSes arrived. I put the sim back in mine and then had him send me a message. Thing is the device was not suspended and I recieved the message immediately. I have my device normally in the suspend state. Could that be the problem?
I have my wizard in suspend (time out, press top button once etc) and have no problems picking up messages, they wake the device.
Notifications = the beep or sound for a text, wakes the device and puts the left softkey to show you have a SMS - it gives a preview there.
You say when you swapped out your sim you didn't get a backlog of messages so there isn't a load on the server waiting for you.
Last possible idea from me atm, you're not in the e-mail or MMS inbox are you? just checking
Well, I have checked the notifications and no, they're set as they should be and I do check the Text Messages folder. I have yet to setup email anyway :?
I wonder...if it's a network problem...damnable.
it sounds to me that its a phone issue not network. i'm on 02 and have now problem when my mini s is in stanby mode. it just switches on and beeps and a notification window appears.
cheers
Ok, now after subscribing to SMS.ac (just to send 1 single message and then terminate it) I got a total of 4 messages -1 confirmation for joining, 1 confirmation of joing, 1 test message, 1 cancellation message.
I cancelled when I noted that it was .5 / message . I'm puzzled. Maybe there was indeed a problem with the sim?

im having problems with my notifications of SMS, i recieve them fine but get no notification at all, i chack the sound settings and its all set up the same as standard but i get nothing any help??
I have tried SK Tools, and even that did not get rid of it. I can seem to get rid of this notification at all. I did a soft reset last night at dinner because it was running slow, then all of a sudden, it just kept vibrating every 3-4 minutes but there is no notification message coming up on the screen.
It stopped for a while later in the evening, but started again this morning at 7 which is when I had my OLD alarm set for, now there is no alarm. Still showing me the notification light (orange) though.
Turned off all alarms, all vibrating notifications, and the phone is on ring. Still vibrates every so often for no reason, and the orange light at the top is blinking every 3 seconds....
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks,
John
Just to check you cleared all duplicates in the notifications queue using Sktools?
Did you perform a soft reset on completing the removal (sometimes doing this too soon stops the changes) ?
Have the duplications and any scheduled alarms actually gone from the queue?
Mike
Heh, I am like mikechannon's follow-up poster today
Anyway, I find SK Tools a little confusing to use for this.
Just to verify, did you do BOTH steps of...
1. Mark duplicates and
2. Delete all marked
How many dupes did it mark?
Hi,
Is this a notification in relation with phone? If yes, are you using PhoneAlarm? PhoneAlarm will keep to harass you with the notification as long as you have not clicked on the icon corresponding to the notification (and that normally indicates "1" telling that you have a waiting notification) in order to open it and to dismiss it. I do not know if this is the problem but since it is a possible source, I wanted to point it.
Good luck!

Hi, I don't know if this will be of any help, but i installed some Chinese character software which turned out to be for WM2003 instead of WM5 and that started playing havoc with my notifications in the same way (they wouldn't go away). But once i removed it, everything went back to normal. So perhaps this could be due to you either using foreign language software, or something for WM2003 or both. Good luck with it
Hi guys,
I have the o2 XDA Neo for a week now, thanx to the forum I got the wireless working too, so everything is great. I do, however, have another strange little "problem", although I'm not entirely sure if it is a problem.
On the first day, at one moment, I heard the Neo beep, as if it had received a short message, and when I went to the phone, the LED was blinking orange. However, when I turned on the screen, there was no new message, nor there was a missed call, missed alarm, appointment or anything like this, just nothing. I later talked to the person that I thought would have sent me a message, and he confirmed that he did send a sms, but I never got it.. Not only it wasn't on the today screen, it was not to be found in the message folders too..
Today, I had my phone with me, on vibration, and Ï didn't feel it ringing, however at some point I checked it to see my battery status (it was ok, around 40%), and I saw the LED blinking orange again. There was again no message, no missed call or anything. The only calendar event was a birthday, for which I had received a reminder the previous day around 23:00. Also the strange thing was, no matter what I did, the LED kept blinking orange, only after a soft reset it returned to the green standby blinking...
Has anyone else experienced this? What do you think could be the cause?
Greets,
Boyan
Hey all, thanks in advance to who helps with this.
I'll explain the situation.
i went on a trip to Singapore lately, my Softbank X01HT (running Dopod 838 Pro ROM) doesn't have roaming so i turned it to flight mode (phone off) for a few days. it's been a fantastic little device for the past 8 months.
during these few days my device remained on with alarms set, but after about 3 days the phone just began to ring like crazy. The alarm kept going off at odd times, but there was no "Notification" alert on-screen. Now the device keeps ringing numerous times with no on-screen Notification alert whenever i soft reset.
also since the alarms started going skits, i am unable to connect to activesync.
is something corrupted? has something crashed?
i also have an O2 XDA Atom Exec, which has the same problems. same situation, no roaming, turn "phone off" for a few days and the same symptoms appear.
i'm unable to sort this...help...
from my viewpoint it seems to be a WM5 bug.
thanks for all your advice in advance!

Use Scarybear Check Notifications (freeware) or Sktools or Memmaid to clear duplicate notifications. There are other threads on this.

Guys, please post all the bugs you find!
Brand new one:
Put the phone to charge, led turns orange. Have someone sms you. The orange led turns off.
I tried. The LED started to blink green. After I read the SMS, it went orange again.
As explain in my thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=455099) I have a big bug with HTC Jade.
Lost calls and SMS when the phone is switched on and ready with network, without error message appears (only when you try to call or send a sms, it doesn't work.)
At the moment, no solution found for this bug, I'm testing a hard reset and I'll explain if it works or not on my thread.

With mine, that does not happen.
Thanks for the input.
Btw, ROM version?
ROM version: 1.40.401.2 (21259)
Radio: 0.27.30.09
Protocol version: 12.27.30.09W
Microsoft Direct Push
Discovered a new bug on my Touch 3G. Setup for Exchange ActiveSync and Direct Push e-mail (items delivered as they arrive) - e-mails are not received when the phone goes into standby mode (after a couple of minutes). ActiveSync log shows that the heartbeat interval expires - i.e. that the phone doesn't respond properly when in standby. When the phone powers backup (briefly pressing the power switch) it immediately performs a sync and retrieves any waiting e-mails.
