Motorola ht820 BT stereo: works and doesn't work - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

hi to All,
i would like to report my experience with the motorola ht820: it works in all modes, from AVRCP to Voice command to A2DP (Bluetooth stereo).
However, the only problem i still have is quite annoying:
under BT stereo mode, the music stream is lost at irregular intervals (on average, 0.5 secs every 30 secs to give you an idea.
I tried everything, including hard resets. The problem was SLIGHTLY better with a naked OS, but still there. Overall, i am fantastically happy of the test rom.
Anybody that has the same problem? anybod that doesn't have the same problem?
i am using media player 10 and, of course, the test rom with A2DP.
Thanks indeed for any reply,
All the best
Piero

I have the same Problem with Anycom Stereo Headstet BSH-100.

Jabra bt620s and HTC Wizard

HI to all,
i just received the new jabra bt620s to run a2dp (bluetooth stereo) on my wizard. I have to say i also have a motorola ht820, with which i experience severe problems with a2dp, both with the test rom and the new rom with the "upgrade". The problem which i had with the motorola was a very annoying intermittent a2dp connection, i mean a fraction of a second missing (sometimes extending up to 1-5 seconds) every 10-50 seconds. Listening music like this is - frankly - unacceptable and i decided to change headset.
I have the jabra in action since one hour. the Jabra bt620s is simply FANTASTIC. not only it works flawlessly (i also run voice command) but a2dp is PERFECT, no interruptions. The bluetooth field is about 5m and within the range i never have interruptions. Basses are louder (larger speaker than the motorola) and the comfort is superb (but i also liked the motorola comfort). The volume, a bit weak on both headsets, can be increased by increasing the intensity on media player: however, the motorola shows evident distortions at 100% while the jabra stands beautifully and delivers indeed what you' expect. The look of the jabra is more elegant than the "princess leyla" one of the motorola.
the jabra also has some other nice features: it can be used - through USB - as headset with the windows pc, and media player can be controlled from the headset buttons.
installation on the wizard is flawless in both cases. Now i am using ROM 2.17 and the patch you find on xda-developers.
I cannot guarantee anybody that the jabra works perfectly on ANY wizard. In fact, despite all attempts with my motorola, i also noticed in this forum that other motorola users were satisfied with the a2dp. It was not my case, and i really tried everything - including switching off all the radio sources i have at home (cordless, tv relay, wifi). However, even at my workplace the motorola doesn't work, so i don't feel it is an environment problem but more the specific wizard-headset coupling. The Jabra works as expected! I have the impression both are good and genuine products by professional firms, but in my case one works and the other doesn't. FYI, i bought my motorola in Singapore and my Jabra in Germany/i wonder if different distributors sells equipment with different qualities...but i doubt it. Anyway i have no doubt where they are manufactured!
I just want to propagate my experience: if you want an a2dp headset, buy two (and sell the one you like less) or try it beforehand if you have the chance of finding a store with the material on stock...;-)
Best Regards
I like them both also. My 820 works better than my 620 when it comes to voice command. Getting the Voice Command to operate via headset,620, is hit or miss moreso than the 820. I have had both for over a month. I do use the 620 when I am in the gym or when I am not really going to use the Voice Command feature. I wish TCMP was controllable via AVRCP it would really make the headsets stand out. The sound is way better thru TCMP. I am waiting for the Nextlink Spiders to come out, next month hopefully, it is supposed to put both of these to shame.
I am running Summiter's latest ROM with extra ringers and A2DP and the sort.
i agree but...
Hi,
i fully agree with all your statements but i want to raise again the point that - with my qtek 9100 - the motorola doesn't work correctly while the jabra does!
I just received my jabra BT620s too and I love it!! I didn't have another A2DP headphones before that, but I can tell that it's well built and I find them more stylish than the Motorola BT820. The music sounds great and the phone function is well incorporated. I wish there was a easier way to start the music than from the bluetooth settings (somebody should write a small app that we could map to a button) and I'll like to use something else that WMP to play the music, like TCPMP or Pocket Player.
I'm still trying to do the same functions on my WinXP machine, but I'm unable to send the music to the headphones, even after pairing... If someone know how to do it, let me now. Is there a way to control WMP or Winamp throught bluetooth stereo headphones? By the way I use the widcomm stack on my computer.
HI Survivant,
i don't have BT on the PC, but i could connect the bt620s to the pc with the USB cable. Just push both big pads after 10 secs you are connected to the PC usb, as described in the manual. You can pause/FF from the headset, for example...

Initial A2DP findings

Using the M3100 with the itech clip S35 Headset
firstly i've been using the fit4cat tweaker which has an A2DP quality improvememt tweak - unfortunately the tweak makes the quality worse so i've tuned it off and the music quality is not too bad when playing through my car stereo. However, I need to try some decent headphnes with the unit because the ones supplied sound very tinny!
Secondly, when you first pair the device, media player plays through the headset ok. If you then go out of range, when you return the headset re-pairs ok for the phone but the media player doesn't and it plays through the loudspeaker. You have to enter BT settings and recheck the stereo music option to have the sound through the headset again. Anybody getting this with the same or other headsets?
Thirdly, I have the S35 outputting through my car stereo. When people are calling me they can hear an echo (of themselves speaking as the sound comes out through the car speakers). There is some sort of delay i suppose but this is very annoying. I'm not sure why its happening because when I tried the headset using my Sony Ericsson W800i there was no such echo!
therfore, is the echo problem an A2DP thing (as the w800i does not support it and this works ok) or is it a m3100 thing? To test this I could turn off A2DP and ry the headset again - is this possible?
any suggestions appreciated
I have the Jabra BT620s headphones and I have indentical problems.
After install all works well but as soon as you disconnect media player just plays via the phone speaker
at least you guys get it to work once. WMP never plays through my iPAQ bluetooth headset. AVRCP controls work fine though. TCPMP plays fine through the bluetooth headset as long as I pair it up before I execute TCPMP. This is exactly how it worked with my 8125.
The WMP issue is very strange and is likely yet another example of the lack of QA testing in the A2DP portion of the TyTN's implementation. I would expect that these issues will all be fixed in a subsequent TyTN ROM update.
I'm getting on ok with this
quality is pretty good both using the headset with my own sony ear buds. Vast improvement over the itech supplied ear buds.
A2DP - no skipping during normal playback and it works well - quality is not an issue through the car stereo either - not bad at all . I've even been listening to music over A2DP and running sat nav using a GPS BT receiver. A slight pause in music when GPS connects but then all runs well.
My only 2 gripes are:-
1. When you disconnect or go out of range of the headset, it reconnect perfectly with the phone application. This isn't the case with the wireless stereo. I have to enter BT settings, uncheck the wireless stereo setting, save then recheck the setting before it reconnects. Slightly annoying but accesptable (for now)
2. the echo using the headset through my car stereo. People calling me can hear themselves again (about a 0.5 second delay) through the car speakers! Just to repeat my earlier post, this does not happen with my W800i. not sure if its an A2DP problem or something else.
Similarly here, I don't seem to be able to make A2DP (and the handsfree profile, for that matter) work.
Using HTC and an Itech clip, I am able to pair the "wireless stereo" and then play music for some 10 seconds on the GS Player, after which the Wireless Stereo symbol disappears from the top bar and the connection is interrupted. I actually believe that the Itech clip is 'shut off', as I have to turn it on again.
When I try to reconnect the headset, it just won't work and the whole machine is slowed down. Only a soft reset helps.
I hope this is a ROM problem (and not mine) and it'll be fixed soon...
WMP and the Itech clip work fine for me, with the current German ROM.
a2dp issues w/th Hermes
With the CHT9000 WWE rom I had the wireless stereo drop off after about 1 minute, then I would have to reconnect. I flashed to the other dopod WWE ROM (latest) and the problem is gone....sound is comparable to my prophet. Reg tweaks suggested in other forums definetely make the sound quality worse for either ROM version. I think further updated ROM's will improve A2DP reliability (or someone may find a reg hack)...as with the prophet A2DP it just takes time.
Hi guys, I've got the vario ii and the Sony Ericsson HBH-610.
I can add the headset fine and make calls through it, but I don't know how to get the music in wmp to play through it.
If anyone has a few mins spare and could explain it for me I would be really grateful
Headsets..HBH 610...
With my CHT 9000 I use an OMIZ 5660...works great for calls and wireless stereo. I don't have any other headset to compare it to (since I only have used this brand)....I believe that if your "options" do not list wireless stereo then you can't use the A2DP function on your device, at least as it is designed to be used.
I'm not aware of a one-piece headset that supports A2DP that is available (all should have either 2 headphones or two wired ear plugs)..
THE ONLY WAY, I FIND :
I have a 590A Plantronics Bluetooth HeadSet
You must refresh Services of your iTech or your Plantronics !
Go Parameters, Bluetooth, Select your Headset, Refresh.
Then reselect services and Save !
Each time you lost the link (Bluetooth turn off or ...) you will have to Refresh, reselect and Save !
I am searching for a Solve but not find another !
I forget something else !
It is the same thing with my Bluetooth GPS (GNS).
I have a spv m3100 and jabra bt620. They both work like a dream most of the time apart from having to go into bluetooth settings each time I want to connect to the stereo headset option.
I have noticed that when in my garden or at home (a quiet environment probably) that I have excellent streaming but when I am walking around, particularly in built up areas like shopping centres, high streets, tube trains, that there is some loss in the streaming which would seem to point towards some kind of interference.
Why the wireless stereo is set as mono as standard I can't understand. I'm sure its to do with improving the streaming quality, but they are supposed to be STEREO!!! Also I set the quality to 58 instead of 48 and there was a definite loss in streaming quality so I switched back to 48.
The AVRCP also works brilliantly in WMP.
The wireless connection also plays havoc with the bluetooth stereo connection with the buffering of stereo constantly dropping. Also noticed that AVRCP wont work with TCPMP, but as there seems to be some major issues with TCPMP and the Tytn I have uninstalled it for the time being until the guys at CorePacket come up with a fix

So far A2DP has worked fine for me with my Nokia HS-12W. I have applied some registry settings and optimised my SD card and so far it has played with hardly a skip. Definitely better than my previous BA with WM5.

This is the biggest problem for me with my M3100 at the moment. I'm guessing it will only be fixed by an updated\alternative ROM(?!), any ROM's out there I could try that might get round this problem??
Thanks

This is probably headset dependent because with my Nokia HS-12W if i need to reconnect i just press the Audio button and it re-establishes the A2DP connection. No going to BT settings at all.
Interesting, can you just confirm what you mean by the Audio button. Is that just hitting 'Play' in WMP?
Thanks
No, the Nokia has a Music key (not Audio, my mistake) which switches from A2DP to the built-in radio. So if i have lost the BT connection pushing the Music key to select the Audio player will re-establish the connection and music is streamed to the headset. You will see the A2DP icon on the today screen when it has connected and get the chime in the headset.
Ok, thanks for that.
Just one last point, if the connection is lost while music is streaming, does the audio switch to the phone speaker instead??
My problem is I'll be listening to music on the subway then or some reason I'll loose the connection (interferance, low battery...whatever) and immediately music starts coming out the speaker, much to my embarrassment!
Thanks again!

WM6 bluetooth headsets losing sound

theese registry keys can be the sotution!!
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand]
"LaunchAPEnable"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand]
"VoiceCmdDuration"=dword:99999
or use this cab, its the same!!
rom is the latest official wm6. how i check radio? oh cool, i'll try out that cab dude, and post here the results
not working bro. shudnt my pda restart after installing that cab? i installed in main memory, and i'm now using my headphones. still got the problem. your registry tweaked the voice commander, my problem is with the bluetooth. 0_o
as in, i listen to music using my bluetooth headset, i hear
EXAMPLE: BONJOVI'S ITS MY LIFE
Its my ..(no sound suddenly).........Now and never, i aint gonna live forever!
the sound is lost but the music is still playing
Getting the same problem with iTech R35 bluetooth stereo headphones and offical Dopod WM6 upgrade (ROM 3.00.707.17 / Radio 1.46.00.11).
The headphones were working fine for the last 6 months with decent sound quality after pairing. Ever since I upgraded to WM6, either the headphones or the phone are dropping the BT connection after random intervals of between 5 minutes - 30 minutes. i.e. the sound suddenly cuts off even though the PDA is still playing music and everything seems to still be connected ( the BT icon is still displayed in the taskbar). If I re-pair again, it comes back for a short while, but then always cuts off again
This is the exact same problem I have with my R35 and WM6. I have figured out a way to make it cut out on a song (a different format wma). if i just play mp3s it will start to skip and then cut out completely after a random time. So I think its WMP I tried different radios and it still doesn't work....
help us anyone!
I posted a thread but no one was able to help...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=320809
I don't think it's a WMP problem, since I generally don't use that app. It's dropping for me with Resco Pocket Radio and CorePlayer.
Getting fed up with Dopod firmware. First, it was the 'no-bass' problem with the previous ROM. Now, it's this problem...! Can't they just release firmware without MAJOR bugs in it?!
I don't want to suggest this but do you think it has something to do with the itech clips?
when i use my BT stereo headset (plantronics pulsar 260) the music stopped sometimes, like described above.
when i disconnect my headset, the music plays normally over the phone speaker. no problem at all.
i guess its just another bluetooth problem.
when my phone is in my right pocket, and the receiver of my BT-set is in my left pocket, my body is between them, it gives the same problem( i am on my ATB at the time, moving)
very strange.....and no, i dont have any metal in my body. ;-)
Hi,
I'm using Touch 1.2 U-Clip and I have the exact same problem. So it's not just with i-Tech. I hope someone will find a solution for this problem.
Think its the Bluetooth stack
I am having the exact same frustrating problem - after checking to see if it was a Dopod error (tried closing down everything else on the PPC, tried other wired headsets), I have come to the conclusion it is something in WM6 Bluetooth, as I did not have this problem in the previous WM5 on the same machine with the smae Blueant Stereo headphones - mind you with WM6, I have full function with the Media Player, that is I can pause, next track, etc, whereas I couldnt do this with the WM5 version. WM5 had a really annoying high pitched whine, otherwise worked a treat.
So, in short WM6 has fixed the whine, has brought full features to the headset, but skips (blanks) the songs. Just before each "blank" I have noticed that it sounds like the song slows up - much like an old tape player running our of battery.
Now, I have no idea how/where/who to fix this, so anybody with even half a clue, please let all of us know, this is getting quite maddening!

bump for the thread. and yea man, i have the same prob. its like a battery dead sound, as the song goes out of tune etc
a slightly different problem
i use the INDIGO LITE rom, and i use OMIZ 5110 stereo headset, and i dont have the skiping problems described here, however since upgrading to WM6 the sound quality is terrible, i feel like tori amos is singing in my bathroom (which if was true could be really great) but alas, its just crappy sound quality... i tried changing the registry BITPOOL to 58 and played with all the values there known to man (at least to THIS man) but nothing helps...
Going by the devices that have this 'dropping sound' problem, it seems to only be affecting A2DP stereo bluetooth headsets paired with WM6 Trinity devices. Or are regular bluetooth mono headsets affected as well?
Personally havent paired a mono headset, but the problem I am having is definitely a stereo one! Any solution as opposed to taking to the machine with an axe?
Anyone found a solution yet?????? Please!!!!
I am also having the same sound dropping problems.
I have the same problem as well. I have just upgraded my rom to official WM6 rom. I'm using iTech Clip Radio.

Problem With BT Stereo Headset

After upgrading from WM 2003SE I have not been able to use my BT stereo headsets. I have both a Motorola S9 and a Jensen WBT212. The music from audio manager or WMP will start but then it will become choppy as if the connection is going on and off every second. Didn't have this issue with WM 2003SE. When used as a handsfree headset there is no issue. I also noticed the elapsed time of the song in progress is also erratic. This happens to both media players. When the BT stereo headsets are not used both players play normally. Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas or resolution would be greatly appreciated.

I finally got the bluetooth headset to work by installing the Helmi BT CAB for WM5 I found in the WM% forum. It is kind of strange now that it seems l;ike there are two BT connection managers but I can now get the headsets to coneect properly and the media players seem to be working properly too.

I got my new BT headphones yesterday. Charged them all day. I did the pairing thing last night. They worked great. Fantastic. The audio was crisp and clear. I was able to answer the phone with them, and again over the phone the audio was great on both ends. But it's like that poem about the girl with the curl. When they're good, they're very, very good. But when they're bad, they're horrid.
I've spent the entire day fighting with the BT. It seems that I can use the headphones only right after I pair them to the device. If I shut them down or turn off BT, when I go to restart, I get the choppiness that's so bad you can't even understand what song is playing. Resetting doesn't fix it. If I uninstall the headphones, turn off BT, and then do a hard reset and reinstall the headphones, I can use them again and everything is perfect. Until I turn them off, and then it starts all over again.
What is causing this?
I know I could just install the Broadcom BT. In fact, I did today. Twice. The problem with that is that I can only get it to recognize the headphones as a high quality audio device, not a headset phone device as well. I can install it as both, but they don't play nice together when I do, and if I install it only as the high quality audio, I can't answer the phone with it. (And yest, I did install all the patches and addons I found throughout that thread.)
Also, the Broadcom audio quality isn't as good as what I'm getting with the MS. Almost like the difference between an mp3 encoded at 96kbps, rather than a better quality.
I've tried the A2DPAudioFix. No help there that I could find.
Am I missing something?
Is it really a choice between crappy audio quality and no phone headset functions and having to hard reset my device over and over?
Same exact problem
Just upgraded the radio today to 1.15 and rom to WM6 last week - Bluetooth stereo headphones work ok for phone but not for music. Please can someone posts links as to where I need to look for various cabs - I've tried searching the forum but am not having much luck. Just happened to stumble on this thread.
Michelle
Stereo bluetooth works now
Well - my dh is sick of me working on this - but I know how BT stereo headphones that work w/ audio and the phone.
I am not even sure what I did other than install every cab I found and I'm sorry I don't have links-
RestartRadio.exe
BroadcomCorp_BT1.0.0.3900.cab
RestartRadio.exe
(still had problem w/ scratchy / stop / start)
then ran
ba_oem_audiogw.cab
and
BroadcomCorp_BTUpdatefor1.0.0.3500.cab
but I don't exactly the order of the last two - I am not even sure I ran the audiogw.cab - anyway, it was like magic - stereo sound minus static and skipping.
This is after flashing to wm6 and flashing the radio to 1.15 - and there was something else I tried - oh, I did change the registry to 64 from 128 I believe - the SD card entry.
Anyway, it's been a long day - now I'm off to figure out how to change the 72M B free in Program to give some to storage which only has 5.48 free.
Michelle
Mgrunk- Which SD card entry did you change? Could you kindly check to see what version of BT you are now on? Start/Settings/Connections/Bluetooth should get you to the version. I have mine working like I described earlier using the HELMI WM5 Broadcomm 1.7 cab, however still have periodic static and skipping. I am curious because my BT headsets worked well with WM2003SE and BroadcomCorp_BT1.0.0.3900.cab. Thanks in advance for any info.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=329998&highlight=SDCARD+SDMemory_Class
is the link where I found it.
hklm/drivers/sdcard/clientdrivers/class/sdmemory_class is the entry and it was 128 and I changed it to 64 per another mesage - it did clear up the stuttering problem w/ AudioManager and WMP.
In regards to the version - now I have to BT icons on the Connections page - the About on the second icon says PE "Version 1.0.0 Build 3900"
But last night I deleted AudioManager and then had the horrible BT stereo headphone problems - I also noted while WMP was playing, it sucked the available program memory down to 5M - didn't matter what I started w/
I reinstalled AudioManager - no luck w/ BT, renistalled all the BT cabs
BroadcomCorp_BT1.0.0.3900
BroadcomCorp_BTUpdatefor1.0.0.3500 - oops looks like that probably was unecessary
HTCHeadset_AddOn
ba_oem_audiogw
But, I have persistant problems - if the ppc turns off - when it comes back on, BT icon shows on, but there's no BT. I have to go into CommManager and uncheck handset and headphones, click save, go back and click them back on and click save and then start audiomanager up and play music. But, I found that even w/ that I had to repeat the whole uncheck the services and then recheck them - somehow it's different than turning BT off and then on (that didn't work at all)
*** hey this morning the BT stereo headphones worked fine w/ AudioManager - didn't have to turn anything on or off - once in a while there's a short pause in sound but otherwise it sounds fine.
*** for no reason, BT stereo headphones are back to non-functioning - tried soft reset, reinstall cabs, etc. - no decent sound out of them - of course they work great for BT phone. Any suggestions?
I was a programmer in my former life (before 8 kids) and I design websites, but I was totally frustrated w/ the BT issue - so I'm not being methodical and I didn't really find a definite thread that said do 1, 2, 3 - so I've thrown every cab I can find onto my system.
I'm sure this doesn't help - it's very scattered and unorganized.

Mgrunk. what Broadcom do you have installed and where to get it? In WM6.0 there isn't an "about"
meanwhile found the Helmi BT 1.7 but I am getting a insufficient driver memory available. I have to preform a soft-reset which I did but didn't help. Whats is the solution?
Give up
ok, it's back to not working - I'm going to return the stereo BT headphones and wait for a new answer - maybe it's the headphones.
But, in regards to the about screen - I had 2 BT icons on the Connection page and the 2nd one had an about page - I hard reset today and it's gone.
Michelle
Mgrunk- I hard reset a couple of days ago as well just trying to cleanup because having two BT connection managers was bothering me. I have gotten the MS stack to work better by doing the SD card registry edit you suggested and another one at HKLM\software\microsoft\bluetooth\a2dp\settings\bitpool and setting it to 25 then settling to 23. It was at 48 when I started. The lower the number slows down the data transmission rate and reduces the choppiness. The lower the lower the sound quality as well so you will need to adjust on your own. Start with 25 then work your way down. What headset were you using?
Well that worked sort of
I changed those 2 registery values - I had to take the bitrate back to 21 - the sound has really degraded - but the music plays - who knows if it will work tomorrow.
Oh, and I have a set of Spider BT stereo headphones - the people I've called said the sound is fine so the mike works ok and the sound is great for the phone.
They're behind the neck, over the ear as opposed to earbuds but I didn't want wires. The ones I really wanted were $129 - earbuds behind the neck.
Michelle
I've been able to keep my BT headphones working by deleting the entry and forcing them into pairing mode and re-pairing them whenever they get choppy. If I'm careful about how I shut them down and restart them (shut off music, wait until I hear the headphones stop transmitting sound, shut off headphones, shut down BT -> start music, start BT, start headphones) I can use them several times before I have to re-pair them.
But it still seems very weird to have to go through all this crap to use them. If I deviate from that shutdown and restart pattern, I have to re-pair them to get them working properly again. If I do a soft reset, I have to re-pair. It can't be the headphones. They work great with other BT applications.
They do work fantastic when they're working though.

so, now I'm off to convert some of my music to mp3 - and then I'm going to try some different players - AudioManager has the same issues w/ wma music as WM10 player - having the bit rate down to 21 really makes for some static in the music.
Update: didn't work - low rate mp3's w/ MortPlayer had same issue

Can anyone try A2DP?

I was wondering if the audio quality and sound stuttering has improved by using BT stereo headphones with Blackstone...
I have a trinity and i still haven't found a setting nor a rom nor a BT stack which handles my samsung headphones with a decent quality and no stuttering...
My cheap nokia 6234 has a solid connection and a good quality sound compared to the trinity... Plus, the A2DP connection slows my device down so much you have to pause if you want to do anything with it...
So if anyone could report about using bluetooth headphones with Blackstone, I would be very grateful as that would help me decide whether to buy or not
Thanks a lot

Great
I have the Touch HD for a few days now with the BH S100 HTC bluetooth headset. I have to say that the sound quality is great. It is even better than my conventional mp3 player.
Stable, never lost connection, etc.
Hope this helps.
I tried it today, with my Sony-headset.
It seems to stutter, though, for the five minutes I tested.
I have the Blackstone from seven day and the A2DP is OK with my Sony_Ericsson HBH-DS200.
The sound is very good and the pairing with the phone is immediatly in about 1 second.
Regards
reasonably OK with my Jabra BT620s. However, quality in BT A2DP is not really comparable with wired headsets, and i got some losses when passing nearby EM sources like wifi, etc.etc.
I needed to enhance the quality with Schaps Advanced Config Tool.
Alpine radio
I have an Alpine radio with bluetooth capabilities in my car, and for the first time I have a great connection with my HD. My Touch Diamond stuttered.
Thanks a lot everyone!
I guess it depends by the headset model and interferences then...
I'm still looking for a shop which would make me play with it for a little while...
i have a pioneer deh 700bt and the headunit set up was easier than the nokia n95
streaming music was a bit weird, the quality was very weird, kinda like very low bit rate streaming on mp3s at times, then fine again.
my n95 music used to pause when i took the key out of the ingnition and the stereo turn off
however the HD just keeps playing, but not through the speaker phone....just see it still playing
bit disappointed, and looking for a fix
I've only played for 10 mins, so i'll let you know if i find some more.
I have an Audi A3 from 2005 with a original BT carkit.
Can I use my HD to play some music ?
I can make phonecalls without a problem, if I adjust the volume of my carradio the volume from the HD is also adjusted.
But is there a possibility to play some music ?
Has anyone tried the Plantronics 855 Voyager stereo headset yet?
Also, I'm currently using the Jawbone 1 and noticed horrible interference/noise in the ear piece when the wifi is on, anyone else experience this?
I've never had any problems with the diamond and now with the hd. Like the senior man said, you need to increase the bluetooth bitpool values either in the registry or by using schaps tool. The difference in quality is immense - low values will make high bitrate music sound 64 kbps so you need to change this. Of course, the higher the bitpool the more chance of dropouts but I run at 60 and rarely, if ever have any dropouts.
Sennheiser MM200
Now if tested for almost one day my HD with my new Sennheiser MM 200. Amazing!!! The use of the MP3-Player switched with the use of the remote control to a new level. During sport display can be switched off(no need for touch display-less power consumption (try to give a more compareable info in future)), full control of play/pause/fwd/rwd/volume function. There is no delay of the HD in using the remote nor any transmission interruptings. Now the HD is with armwrest a perfect sport companion. The sound of the earphones - haven't had any better sound (and i've tried a lot of earplugs). Neckstrap fits perfect, mic in perfect position, clear speech and due to perfect noise reduction of the plugs even in noisy areas perfect understanding.
The Sennheiser was just charged the first time - i'll report the stamina.
So far -
I am using the i.Tech S35 bluetooth clip also on my HD now, and sound is very good, with WiFi on. Advantage of the clip is that one can use any headphones with it.

It's not possible to play music, only phone functions are available.
