hi,
as everybody know, HTC Alpine is the one without Extended ROM unlocker and the sad one there's no WM5 upgrade either. Now seem like Linux development for Alpine is working on.
How about your opinion using Linux on Alpine device? Do you recommended on using Linux? Will any newbies try to learn it from scratch?
Thanks everyone! Thanks [/b]
I'd like to use it. I enjoy using linux at my home pc when surfing net or watching films..
If there will be linux on Alpine and it will work stable especially with phone part - I use it instead of WM.
and if there will be open source of firmware it would be just great...=))
hope there'll be more positif reaction soon.....
Linux on HTC ALpine? This would be very great because there isn't any working WM5 for our devices!
Anybody has gotten the kernel 'zalp' too boot ? I only get a black screen with red/green lines..

There are certain things to be fixed in alpine kernel: wifi, cpld irq, phone power, sound power, suspend/resume and so on.
Can you tell us what is working for you, and what is not working ?
I can't rememebr it anymore.
Hi all,
I am going to use my SPV3000 from Orange with a Mac G4. Which tool should I use? Any experience feedback about syncronization with a Mac? What can I expect? What are the limitations? How does it work? Any freeware? Where can I find the tools? Where can I find PocketMac® Pro?
there is no final software out yet to sync windows mobile devices to os x. I have mine running at the moment using a beta version of "the missing sync" This can be downloaded from here:
http://www.markspace.com/
This is much beta than pocket mac, plus pocket mac doesnt work with wm5 nd doesnt have a beta out.
The current beta of the missing sync doesnt work over usb, only bluetooth, but its seems to work well
Thx!
Hi,
Thank you for the advice... I will try it...
anybody had any advances on being able to sync wm6 with ubuntu? wm5 seems to work but not 6 for some reason
cheers
any progress?
There's allready a thread with the syncing problem under Linux! Why did you opened another thread about the same problem?
Can P3300 run Linux? I've just know the HTC universal can run the Linux system in stead of the windows mobile system. Does anybody know about this? I'm using the wm6, but the destop is not cool. I wanna have a change and try something new.
Well if you want to you can work on porting Android to our devices
Hi!
I don't see any news support of Artemis on the linux project page by xda-developers. Isn't there any work going on to port linux/android on Artemis?
hello! i own a HTC Touch 3G and i was wondering if it is possible to remove the Windows 6.1 and install a version of Linux. If this is possible i would like to know how to do it, if i can save the Windows 6.1 that came with my phone in case of mistake and what are the available versions of Linux in PPC. Thanks.

Hi! There is no such ROM Linux! Which future for HTC Touch 3G is no clear, because now I see nobody ROM to continue to build models anymore ... Should probably only switch to another PPC?
thanks for the reply. nobody release anything like that for HTC t3232 all this time ? i think i will stay with my WM6.1.
