Hey I was wondering if there was any case like the pdair aluminum case except when attached to my belt it hung sideways and not vertical. Basically I want a case that acts as if it is part of the phone where I can just take it off of my hip and use it then just put it back on. But I want something that will hang like the case that it comes with, where its horizontal and not vertical so it doesn't get in the way and look obnoxious.
Hope that makes sense to most.
Thanx
I found this one by Proporta:

but it seems to be the same thing with a swivel clip.
Maybe you could glue the clip permanently so the phone is in the horizontal postion by roughing the clip and knob up with some sandpaper, then applying some plastic epoxy to it.
Does anybody have the pdAir aluminum case?
If so, does the front cover have a clear plastic cover protecting the lcd?
thanx

Believe it or not, but a screen protector increases the skin tension of the glass (like a laminate) and adds a lot of strength.
I once dropped an iphone from waist height onto a bitumen road, LCD screen first and it hit a rock right on the screen. Not a scratch on the screen (altho I needed to replace the screen protector) but the LCD and glass survived.
So IMO, screen protectors are an integral part to protecting the glass.
the horror!!!!!
My virgin eyes!!!
same i dropped my g1 once on concrete from 5 feet. It made a nice scratch in the screen protector but the screen was fine. It woulda jacked up my screen if i didnt hav eit.
Wow that screen is all sorts of f'ed up

It's only one phone not two.
But one's bad enough......
I find the phone very slippy particularly when trying to press the buttons on the sides.
I'm about to order a cheap silicone case from ebay to see if that helps but these tend to add quite a bit of size to the devices which is never welcome to such a big device.
Does anyone know of any stick on protection that will offer a bit more purchase? Does the Zagg invisible shield help in that matter?
The phone fell from me about three times on asphalt... the phone screen didn't scratch yet for me the damage was absorbed by the silver coat framing. Till now its very micro and small.. I tried to find a leather casing for the phone.. but with no luck in my area.

Ebay in the UK are listing leather cases if that helps.
I ordered one of these, should get it in a few days and hopefully will be a bit grippier (is that a real word?)

HOW HARD IS GORILLA 3 RESISTED TO THE STRETCH
With fingers i think not, but when you have it in pocket with something like key´s then you can scratch it.
And i would reccomend you a case because the rim is from plastic after a while it damages and it looks ugly ..
Fingers? Or nails? If its the former, then no. If its the latter then, probably. I have seen people hitting LCD panels with their awfully huge pointy nails, I don't know, but hurts me just to even see it.
I always will recommend a screen protector, glass if possible.
You can't scratch it with anything if you have a tempered glass screen protector on it...

Sorry I could not resist.
It's glass. You can't stretch it.

I'm faily sure you mean scratch, not stretch.
Unless of course you're actually trying to lengthen the screen by pulling on it like a rubber band. In which case I don't think flexible screens are that effective just quite yet. You'll have to wait a few years.
Gorilla Glass 3 is fairly hard to scratch. Sand, keys and knives will, over time, damage the screen, but a protector isn't vital.

I just opened and setup my V20, I was super careful with it. I only had it rest on something soft while I was getting the sim activated and until I put the case on. Well, it seems to be something like a shiny spot on the camera rim. At first I thought it was a reflection, but is a blemish. I am torn, should I take it back (BestBuy) or live with it. It sucks to have that out of the box.

It is to the outer side of that on the chrome rim. I cannot feel the spot nor clean it away.
looking athe photo, it seems like the outer rim, and not the protector.
Anyway I got it replaced so all is good.
I need to take you along with me next time I buy a new truck!!
