i have a laptop (Xp pro sp2) with no wifi device embeded.
how should i use the Wizard(Qtek9100) to act as a wireless lan adaptor? that is to say, how my laptop connect to wireless AP through a usb link with qtek9100 which the wifi function is enabled.
i have tried many settings but with no success. it seems that the qtek could not connect wifi network and usb link simultaneously. the connection icon in the upper-middle screen changed from a Wifi logo to ActivSync logo whenever i plug in the usb cable.
any idea?

You may want to try this :

but the best way - is just to buy a wifi card for your laptop.

Hi
Currently i connect my Desktop PC with my K-JAM through usb cable and use GRPS by turning on K-Jam Modem(activating modem link feature).
K-Jam also has WIFI facility. Can i connect my Desktop PC with my K-JAM through USB-Cable and use WIFI by using K-JAM WIFI builtin card as wifi Adapter/Card??
My respect!

connected
I made it!
Is quite simple!
Open ASync on PC,File>Conn.setings>This computer connected to>in drop down menu select Internet
After pairing, start ASync on ppc>tap menu>Connect via BT
PPC will connect on some Bluetooth serial port COM_ port(on my PC is COM10)
Thats all!
Enjoy!!!
when ur connected via active sync, do u still need the USB cable or not???? im getting confused here
internet thru AS and PC
I'm not sure,i understand the question,but...
You can connect to ASync via USB cable,BT or IrDA(you know that).
If you conn. to ASync via BT(integrated or USB dongle) you don't need the USB cable(all time you want to be on the internet via PC,you must do that thru ASync, with cable,bt or IrDA, in this scenario) !
Every type of conn., give you capability to go on internet thru the ASync!
Help you,i hope!
All I have to do is connect my Nike to the laptop via the USB cable and then open WMDC and it connects to the internet.
What about Wi-Fi connection?
I have Wi-Fi adapter & HTC Touch Pro.
hi,
anyone knows of any SW that makes the pocket pc behave as a bluetooth dongle, connected to my pc through activesync? (i have no bluetooth dongle in my pc, & i need to connect my pc to a mobile phone through activesync)
thanks.
edit: follows here
I'm trying to establish a wired TCP/IP connection between a rooted Google Nexus 7 and a PC. I'm using an Ethernet to USB plug and a crossover Ethernet cable in order connect the Android directly to the PC.
I wrote a simple Android TCP/IP server program and downloaded a TCP/IP client testing PC program. I can specify the devices' IP addresses (using shell commands on the Nexus tablet) and they can ping each other just fine, but the problem is when I actually try running the programs the client won't connect to the server. The client will time out and the server just keeps on waiting.
I should also add that I got the programs to correctly connect to each other when I plugged the Nexus in a network (with the plug + Ethernet cable), and connected the computer to the same network wirelessly. I also got a working TCP/IP connection with the same server program between the Nexus and my Android phone, using the phone's hotspot function to create a wireless network. The problem happens only when I connect the Nexus tablet directly to the computer.
Any ideas as how to solve this problem? Any help is appreciated.
