Registry hack for new calendar items notification? - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Ok, I searched and came up empty. With direct push, we now have the ability to have new calendar items pushed to us when we are out of the office. Is there anyway to receive a vibrating notification (like we do with email or sms messages), whenever a change occurs to our calendar?

No SMS or Reminder notification

Hi, I have a Jasjam running WM6 and have it has recently not being notifying me of new SMS's or Reminders for appointment via sound notifications. The on screen message still appear, and all of the settings under Sounds & Notifactions are correct.
Any ideas?
I used to remove the Outlook email account by removing the ActiveSync email registry key, just to keep it from displaying, and since I don't sync my email through ActiveSync. But I found that when that key was removed, my device would exhibit this same behavior.
You didn't, by chance, remove this key from the registry, did you?

No mail notification on custom mailfolders

Hi.
I have my Xperia sync with the exchangeserver at work.
However I have a mail rule which sorts very important mail to a seperate mailfolder.
I do have selected that folder so the xperia syncs it but I do not get any new mail notifications when a new mail lands in that specific folder.
I only get notifications when mail gets into the inbox itself.
Any ideas how to solve this problem. As it is now i manually have to drill down the mailfolders to have a look if I have gotten a new important mail.

Problem with notifications when syncing outlook folders

I sync several folders in outlook, with ‘rules’ for filing set server side. If a new message arrives in one of these folders, I receive no notification, and the email does not get noticed without manually checking folders for email.
Does anyone know if there is key that can be modified to notify me of these emails?
This has been a problem with every rom I’ve tried so far, any help would be appreciated.

No mail notification on Exchange subfolders

Hi Guys,
I have a problem on receiving notification when receiving emails in my exchange mailbox but filtered to subfolders of main INBOX.
It's very important for me as I'm missing e-mails without notification and I need to check each subfolder manually for new mails, which is unacceptable.
I contacted HTC couple of days ago and they were not aware of this problem. *shocked*
Is there are any workaround on this, I'll be forced to flash a vanilla rom and put spbshell if this is not resolved in near feature.
Or change the phone, which will be the easiest.
You mean you have set it up and it is alreadyn syncing to subfolders correctly, and what you need is the mail notification?
I thought this was how Windows Mobile has always worked?! - which is why HTC is not aware of the 'problem'.
Certainly, WM 6.1 Pro did not alert for new messages in sub-folders (even though they were sync'd and downloaded).
I found a solution:
in outlook 2007 go to Tools --> Rules and Alerts. edit the rule for the subfolder you want notifications for. Activate "display a specific message in the New Item Alert window. The message doesnt matter. Now your HTC HD2 with sense UI will notify when you receive a message in a subfolder.
A small negative side effect is the pop-up in your outlook

And just in case someone is using the Outlookanywhere web app to read his e-mails (so I synchronise the phone by an Internet connection, and not with the computer)?

CM7 email app, outlook, and notifications

Hi guys. I currently use the gmail app for my gmail account and the typical email app for my outlook account. I have noticed that Gmail will eventually remove a notification from my task bar if I read the email somewhere on my computer. The email app, however, will just keep racking the new mail count up. I use outlook push notification, so I will get notifications for new mail while I am at work. I typically check them on my computer, since I am there. When I go to my phone after several of these, I will have a notification on my phone saying that I have X new emails. When I open the notification, they will all be read.
Has anybody else experienced this issue? Is this just a limitation of using outlook push notification?
