rom and contact

Hello, i am new here..
I would like to know what is your prefered rom for a MDA compact and if there is any in italian language..
And I have a problem with my contact list. I have some friends with 2 or 3 mobile number, how can i insert all that number in the contact list ? It seems that it support only 1 mobile number and outlook 2003 too.. There is a software to do it ?

You could store the 2nd & 3rd mobile tel under home2, work2 etc. Not so nice but they will show in the contacts list.
For the rom, if you insist, you can visit the ftp @ ftp://xda:[email protected]/Magician/Shipped_ROMS/
There's an 1.12ITA rom available, but take a good look @ your current rom before upgrading & read the wiki (top right link on board) before starting.

Unnamed new contacts

I have a little problem and I don't know how to fix it.
I have contacts only on my mobile phone, on my sim card is empty-see contacts on sim card is disable.
When I got new call, from unknown person, I have info that I can add this contact to my list as a new or add to already exist. I want add as a new, so i'm writing all important info: name,last name,number... and new contact I see as a "unnamed". PLEASE .. help me fix it.
Ps. Phone HTC HD, WM 6.5 with manila 2.5 v 21.1.

Since it sounds like you're using a custom ROM, I'm guessing it's just a bug in the ROM. You should check the thread pertainning to your ROM.

I am having the same problem with no solution, please help. Anybody???

I have just found a solution. Don't add contacts the conventional way. Instead, go to start > Phone > Contacts > New
This way you'll be able to add the contacts you want properly.

Htc hd2 contacts

hello guys i have a question.. my contacts are on my sim card.. and when i press favorites i cant put them on favorites and i can't put them a picture can anybody help me??

You need to transfer your contacts from your sim card to your phone.

Hi, I believe that you have to save your SIM Contacts to your phone and then you can add pictures and put them on favourites. There is an Import SIM Contacts feature under People/All People/Menu. i think you can find information on this in the User Guide.

Annoying Contacts

Please can anyone advice me how to delete contact ( seems to be very stupid question ) but truth of my streak experience that I have imported all the contact from my simcard and now I cant delete any of them and the worst part is I have duplicates 
Things I have tried
In contact card menu delete from there no luck
Hold the contact tap delete no luck
Some of the contact hold it ….no luck and it hangs
Please any sort of reply are welcome
All I wanted is delete the whole list and import again

I don't import from Sim card but i thought i would try to help so i imported 1 contact from Sim then held down contact and pressed delete and it deleted fine so don't now why its not working for you mate

Its giving me error "this portion of contact record is from a read only sourrce and can be edited New information can be added"

I just wnant to know if it's possible to use only contact from sim on X8. I have a samsung galaxy mini 2.2.1 stock and i have the chose, but not on x8. Can i put the contact manager from samsung on x8 ??????

You can import contacts from your sim on X8 but i think its not possible to add/delete
them to/from sim card.
The best thing is to connect the contacts with your google account.
whenever you buy new phone, or get a new sim (old broken or whatever)
your contacts are still safe.
That's why you bought a smartphone or get a 2nd cheap phone for 5-10 euro's,
enter simcard for calls and a 2nd one only for your smartphone then you don't need contacts on it.

Logically,every phone will have this function.maybe for certain roms dont have it.can u post which rom u re currently on & lets hopes if somebody know details about it.
p/s: u joint here since 2008 but only post 3 times?Wow..thats rare

Thanks for your response. I know that i can import contacts or use my google account, but i dont know why i cannot do the thing that was ok on galaxy mini and not on X8.
Most of the roms of x8 are based on CM, that doesn't use sim contact. So i have tested most roms but allways the problem. I think it's just a parameter problem or soft problem, but where to do it ????
And for zmuhammx, yes i was registered on most forums, with not a lots of activity, because i spare a lot of time to read, re-read and search on post to find the solution of my problem without post a lot. First i read, second i think and if really i was blocked i post.
Second thing, since 2008 i'm renovating an old house and i just have finished. So no much time to spend (very tired).
So now i have some time to work on android, so i became to put my nose in roms and if i find the solution i post it.
At final, in france we pay a lot for nothing. it's just now that we can have cheaper, unlimited acces to internet over gsm network. But network was very old. So from april 27 i can synchronise my contact with google (the best solution).
