Linux for the Apache / 6700 ? Please, oh please! - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Is anyone working on a Linux version for the device? I am ready to start making use of this device and am willing to test, although I am not so great writing in C.

yes bro ! i told i did those things
sqlite annotation processing is ticked
I have tried and I have not got it to work yet. However, I found a tutorial on the web to fix it: http://code.google.com/p/android-vnc-viewer/issues/detail?id=282
Try it and report. It has not been working for me yet. (It is for androidVNC as your one seems to be a fork of AndroidVNC.)
If you still cannot get it to work, contact the developer of the programm. He should be able to help you.

I do not think that there is any difference. As far as I have seen, bVNC is a fork of androidVNC. For that reason either both should work or no one.

[NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP]Android M Dev Preview System Port

TESTING HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR THE TIME BEING. WE HAVE EVERYONE WE NEED CURRENTLY. WHEN THE TIME COMES THAT WE NEED MORE, WE WILL LET YOU KNOW.
This thread will be used to notify the members of XDA as to our current progress. Once an official release is ready, this will be converted to a Q&A thread. Currently we are working out some kernel issues and will let you know where that leads us. This will also be where we look for testers as we expand to other variants of the G3.
UPDATE: Currently our team is looking for a name. Since it was formed from random community members, we have decided to come back to the community to ask for suggestions as to what we should name the team. I would also like to state that we are currently testing a kernel that may get the M Preview booting. So wish us luck.
I'd love to help but I'm only s beginner in ROM porting but what would I need to do for me to help you? I'll give as much help as I can give.
Edit:
Try asking @autoprime and @timmytim for help with making the flashable zip/cleaning up some bugs and other stuff

Small Request: @TonyStark, is there any way you can get this moved to the standard LG G3 General Subforum? I feel like it could benefit other Devs and it would get more attention there.

Yeah, really it doesn't need to be changed to the new format, but it would need a whole new updater-script, which I am not as familiar with as I would like to be due to time constraints and other priorities. So if @timmytim or @autoprime could take a look and help me out (if it's not too much trouble, of course) that would be awesome.)
ask also @LastStandingDroid i think he could help as well...or try post in developers thread.there are many geniuses there

Ps Good to see that someone started working on the M version
Ps2 I have seen you trying to port android wear to galaxy gear 1
That's pretty awesome! Unfortunately I cannot help more than just cheer for you guys.
I've got a D855 and I have some experience messing around on Linux and Windows. If there's anything else I could help, just PM me
Tapatalked thru my LG <3
I also am a beginner to porting ROMs but have both a Linux and Windows workstation, so I am here for help if needed. New XDA account, forgot old my old account's credentials lol.
Good Stuff!
This is good news! I cant code atm but I was looking for this ROM. I read that they released the beta rom So I knew it was only a matter of time before someone created one for the G3
I can't help with anything ATM, but I'm glad to see this being worked on so soon, I'll definitely be cheering you guys on, God knows when LG will update.
Nice..... I'm no good with codeing but if you need a tester I'll risk my G3...:good:
We need help people! Someone who knows a little about this can shed some light of what we need to accomplish this port?
Pm me if you guys need a tester
I have a g3 d855, if you need tester for that, I could help in the future.

Yeah. Unfortunately I no longer have a Gear 1, but someone has picked up where I left off. And thankfully, someone with the Verizon G3 and some porting experience is taking a look into modifying the boot.img to support M and has provided me with a baseline updater-script that I can modify to fit the situation.

If I get a port running smoothly on my D850, we are then going to branch to the VS985, then the D855 should be right behind.

Just double checking that you know that currently all I have is the files merged for a ported system currently, not a flashable ROM yet, right? Either way, I will keep everyone up to date on the status of the port here.

Thank you! We're working on modifying the CM12.1 boot.img to support M currently. Then all I need to do is modify the updater-script and all should be proper for the D850. Then we'll be moving on to other G3 models.

First advice: have a 64-bit linux distro (i.e. Ubuntu).
If use don't dispose with a linux computer, any other advice is meaningless.

the guide is at the main post now with the files to download
I did this on Bliss OS, it works aside for the fact that in my VM the settings wont open now, but I didnt test it to see if they did before so whether or not that is an issue due to the steps provided is unknown
EDIT: The VM I use is Hyper-V
