xda2i radio version - PDA2, XDA IIi, 2020i Software Upgrading

Hi,just purchased my xda2i.
radio 1.00.00
Can I upgrade the radio or is it the only version for xda2i?
I can't connect to internet via gprs.
I thought if I could upgrade the radio version maybe i would connect to the internet.
Thx
melih

latest Radio ROM was 1.04. You can get it here,
ftp://xda:[email protected]_Radio-1.04_O2stuffstripped_Camera_Fixed.rar
if you just wanna upgrade your radio rom just leave radio.nbf, delete the ms_.nbf n nk.nbf.
for GPRS connection, better ask the provider if they can give CAB configuration for your device.
thanks

Downgrading from Radio Stack 4.21.00

I upgraded to the wrong Radio Stack (4.21.00) version last week. Which was a bit silly on my part. I guess that there is no turning back to another Radio Stack? That is I wish to go back to the original AT&T stack.
Please your help in this matter would be much appreciated!!
You can get the needed files to revert back to the AT&T radio stack from
the below site:
http://www.my-siemens.com/com.apert.../da/us/mw/mc/mc/ruuv1.11_cea.20.17wwe_aws.exe
Once you have it use Winzip to extact it then locate and copy the below
files to your devices windows root folder and run RSUpgrade.exe.
Needed upgrade files:
RSUpgrade.exe
RSUpgrade.cp64
monitor_ul_bs.map
monitor_ul_bs.m0

How about downgrading from T-Mobile 6.24 to 6.18? Do you have a link and easy instructions like you provided for the AT&T Radio ROM?
Thanks
If you're planing on downgrading back to T-Mobile 6.18 you might
as well upgrade to the AT&T stack its a lot better than 6.18.
Anyhow 6.18 isn't a separate upgrade like 6.24 its built-in the 3.14.40 ROM.

Hello Q
Will this revert my settings back to
Radio Version : 3.23.01 Original
Protocol Version: 32S54 Original ?
Regards
Thanks Qman!
I did not upgrade to 6.24 yet but was just wondering if there was a simple way to downgrade back if I did.
What is your opinion of going to 6.24? Besides the constant GPRS connection what other benefits are there?
Thanks

In opinion 6.24 was better than 6.18 but not as good as At&T's stack,
besides the constant GPRS connection you'll have improved power management (better battery life), improved GSM and GPRS.

Which Ver ?

Hi 2 all
what is the latest version of the Radio?
which Radio prvider could i use for my pda T-Mbile or O2 or ?
what is the latest version of the XDA-I ROM?
I have now...
Qtek 1010 PW10A1
ROM 4.00.11 ENG from the kitchen
Radio 4.16.00 frm O2
and wrok great but the need to change is calling?
If your radio stack is working, my advice is leave it alone, when you update to radio stack 4.21 you lost the ability to reset call counters, and imei manipulation via manipulator, also I dont think radio stack 4.21 is much good. You can upgrade the xda to WM2003 now that a real version has been released by Siemens ATT.
Thank you for responsing.

Were could i find it?
Is it compatible with Qtek 1010?

Radio stack update

Hello,
I have a MDA 1 european version
Rom Ver : 3.18.01 ENG
Radio : 3.23.00
Because of a buisness application running on this device I could not upgrade to WM2003.
My question is could I upgrade the radio stack?
If yes wich version, and where to find it?
Do I need to upgrade the rom?
Somebody tell me that with the new rom version the MDA will charge thru the USB connection, correct?
Sorry but I'm a novice
Thanks for your help
If you arent having problems with your radio stack leave it alone is my advice.

Qtek 1010 Radio Stack Update help required

I have recently updated my Radio Stack to 3.19.01 and it is working better than the older version that the phone came with. What is the best Radio stack update that I can upgrade to (read somewhere that it is 3.23.01) and where can I download this from.
The ROM I have currently is 3.16.13 ENG (again upgraded recently) and I am planning to upgrade to 3.16.52 or WM 2003. Which one is better? Or is there some other version which is better suited.
Many Radio Versions are available on the ftp-server.....
WM2003 is good on Wallaby. Used it myself a long time.
You can get all ROMs directly from the ftp or cook your own at
http://lumpistefan.dyndns.org/

Thanks Stefan.
I have downloaded RSU_V3.23.zip should I use this or download RSU_V3.23_PPC.zip?
Also are later versions like 4.21 better and is there a risk in updating the Radio Stack to this? Will 4.21 and 3.23 be compatible with WM2003?
Updating Radio Stack is everytime a risc.
So if all is working fine i would stay at your actuel Radio Version.
I think nearly all Radio Versions [email protected]
3.23 Radio Version is just another number used by T-Mobile.
4.21 is the Radio Version released from O2.
I made good experience with both of them.
The _PPC file is for directly flashing on your device without using active sync...

Hi, Stefan.
I have WM2003 installed (4.01.12). I'm not satisfied with the reception quality . I tried Radio Stack 6.24.20 and 6.25.02. Should I try with another RSU and which one is the best?

New O2 XDA2i Rom - Radio Upgrade?

I have just downloaded the new official O2 XDA2i ROM and noticed that although it upgrades the device from 1.11.162 to 1.11.169 AND gives Blackberry functionality, it still uses the old outdated 1.00.00 Radio version?
Why?? I am currently running a 2i with Pugs Modded rom with 1.11.162 and Radio 1.03, although I have now seen a 1.04 version.
Is there any chance of doing a new modded ROM with the 1.11.169 Rom, Blackberry AND
Radio 1.03 or 1.04?
Just a thought....
Dazzer
hi bazzer
blackberry doesnt run with the radio 1.04. stick with pug's rom version its very stable!!
Says who, I upgraded the radio 1.04 yesterday and blackberry works fine!
So is it possible to just install the latest O2 rom 1.11.169 version which downgrades the radio back to 1.00.00 and THEN upgrade the radio somehow?
I am thinking of just keeping Pugs modified rom with 1.11.162 and upgrade the radio to 1.04 to replace the 1.03 radio it has now. I don't technically need blackberry but I would like the latest O2 rom anyway...
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Darren

Im im sure blackberry doesn't work with radio 104
it comes up on the BES as illegal pin might load thats about it
you will find that your blackberry server is not forwarding any email to your handheld after radio 104
i did test on all the radio stacks and only radio 1.0.0 works with blackberry and it is very unsable
If you need blackberry and need to use radio v 1.0.0 do the following
do a rom upgrade removing the extended rom from the directory
this means no other software is installed and bluetooth is now stable
if not bluetooth doesn't work at all using heasets
the way to upgrade only your radio is to remove the rom and ext-rom from you upgrade directory and only leave the radio rom
this works a treat
