I installed a few apps on my O2 Mini S last night, then this morning the wireless wouldn't work. I can go into comm manager and click the WiFi icon but it just shows greyed out with an X next to it. I can see the 'SDIO WLAN Wireless adapter' in Network Cards, but Ministumbler shows 'No Wireless' and windows won't show any networks in range. The only thing I could think this could be is a registry problem, I ran tweaks2k2 today, and the wizard registry wizard yesterday.
Please help me fix this one, the thought of installing everything again makes me want to cry

Hi,
I couldn't find any other thread about this problem:
My O2 Xda neo has stopped detecting Wifi networks.
I activate Wifi in the comm manager, Wifi appears to work (the antenna icon appears, but not "radiating"), but never searches for wifi networks, only asks me to add a new one, whereas before a few weeks or so, it would display all the Wifi's found in my vicinity.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
n
i have the same problem...and couldn't find a solution for about 6 months on now....=(
Have you try on setting\connectons\wifi ? it has the list of avaiable wifi access points that were detected when you turn on wifi on comm manager.
(with the wm5 rom on my prophet, it auto connect to wifi access point whenever i turn on wifi on comm manager but when i use wm6 rom, I have to go to setting\connectons\wifi and connect to avaiable access point manually )

are u on Active sync or not? I remember that the Active sync on winXP have an option to disable wifi whenever you connect to pc (I use window mobile device center on Vista and don't remember exactly ).
sometime, when i can't connect to wifi, I check on setting connection and I found that the wifi icon with the name "WIFI" is replace with the same icon but with name "network card". I just soft reset and everything was fine then
Try Hard Resetting the Device
I have the same problem here with prophet g4 and wm6.1 konrad (tryed shadow's too).
Autosearch of wifi networks is missing.
maybe this our solution:
but how to proceed??
I wonder if this is hardware rather than software. Try an official WM5 (AKU2.2) ROM from the ftp/wiki and see if you still get this problem.
Can a hardware issue be fixed???
Hey all I am having the same problem on a Wizard wifi LED is blinking antena icon is up but no detection of APs I am ready to throw this thing. Some one hook a soln up please!!!
I've been having a bugger of a time with the Wi-Fi on my 8525. I keep getting a response that the WEP key is incorrect. I was able to connect once, and have since deleted my settings that the Wi-Fi network, but nothing I'm trying seems to get me connected.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
I had a problem with my Wifi working when I first got the phone. But since I wanted to SuperCid the phone I had to downgrade the IPL to do so. I re flashed to the same Cingular 1.34 with IPL 1.06. Since then I have not had any problems with the Wifi.

Here's a thought. Why not try the Hitchhiker application. It tends to get round quite a few issues in set up. Also once you've got it working and connected to Wifi you can close it down if you wan to and you'll find it has saved correct settings for your normal way of connecting to wifi. Another benefit is that you can cut the wep key from a text document and paste it into the box it gives you (saves a lot of hassle whenever you need to re-enter the key - which in my case is 28 letters digits long!!) WM5 box as you may have discovered does not allow wep pasting!!
You need to have .netframework installed as well byt the link I give you also has a link for that as well:

i recently got att 8525 but i havent able to connect wifi with my home network. it asks for wep key, then shows connecting to network and after a while shows wrong network key...no success so far...i even tried the abive hitchhiker sf and all but no luck...has anyone come up with any solution??? i had np connecting 8125 b4...!!!

I have similar problem too with my cingular 8525. I unlock it to work with t-mobile and also upgrade to wm6 . Now, I can not connect to my home wlan. If I click on wlan, it show my wireless network. But if I click on internet explorer, it show me the default internet window explorer with at & t and window mobile icons. when I click on either one, it take me to media net log in screen. help me
ok, i dont know how but my wifi started working last night!!! b4 it always looked for IP address and eventually disconnects b4 connecting to home network. so i installed "hitchhiker" but no luck either...so i uninstalled and then tried but this time it said connected to network and as soon as i open IE, it disconnects...it looked like wifi connects but then disconnects or timeout due to power settings, so i changed power settings under wifi settings to best performance and now it just connects right away...

Just wanted to let everyone know that switching from "best battery" to "best performance" also solved the "incorrect network key" error for me. Thanks Chakli!

Thank You Thank you Thank You. I've been at this for a few days now. It would have to be that simple.
Just remember you need to run the remove proxy cab file if proxy is has been set to use GPRS/WAP. Also make sure the right network interface is selected - like work uses 802.11 etc..
Hi Friends,
I was playing with VPN to connect to the network, I tried with BlueFire Mobile VPN 2.7.5.706, also v2.3.0193 and VPN Mobile by Greenbow, nothing worked anyway...
I am using ATT Tilt aka Kaiser TyTN II, WM6
But meanwhile during this installing uninstalling configuring... my 'WiFi Settings' changed to 'Network Cards'... (see the attached screenshot)
Now it only shows the network cards... Its no more detecting the Wireless, or connecting...
I spent whole day trying to figure it out... no luck... any experts.. please advise me how to restore back...
I hard booted... and installed the Odyssey Client... then I realized... that 'WiFi Settings' Changed to 'Netwok Cards'... and I couldnt connect to wifi after that... any solutions?....
I have been having this problem since one year ago and nobody seems to be able to help me too. I just take it that I bought a device without WIFI.
Screenshot of the problem.
When I click on the 'Network Cards'...
... it should look like this normally
Disappearing 'Configure Wireless Network' tab.
I've run into a very peculiar issue that I can't resolve. On my today screen if you have the Verizon Wireless network box enabled, my phone says "Wi-Fi: Unavailable", and no networks are showing up in the 'Configure Wireless Networks" menu. I've had this phone for 2 months using the same rom and radio for most of the time (DCD's 3.2.5, radio 3.42) and this issue just came up yesterday. I have a feeling it is related to me using WMWifiRouter and then removing the settings for all the networks that were saved in the "Configure Wireless Networks" menu.
Any help would be MUCH appreciated, I use wifi all the time on this phone.
I have the same problem. I thought it was my router but tried with others and still can't connect. It doesnt pickup any wifi signals. This is after I installed and tried to use wifirouter, even after unistall same problem.
Go to the wireless settings and at the bottom there should be a drop down menu make sure its set to all avialble and not only acces points (dont know if i spelled it right
I just looked at this and I have not been able to connect to wifi, thought there might be a problem with my phone. When I go to the wi fi settings and select all available it defaults to only access points. Any Ideas...
I am having this same problem as well. I would love to be able to use WiFi it's one of the reasons I bought the Titan. Someone please help us!
It could be related to you using WMWifiRouter as I have had the same issue. If hard resetting your unit does not fix the problem, you should swap your unit if it's still under guarantee. I had my first Titan's WIFI die on me (after one month) and I had to return it. Now I am on my second one over 14 months and now issues whatsoever.
Good luck.
I had to have my phone replaced as well as the hardware switch would not turn the WiFi radio on. Are you using a custom ROM or strickly stock?
Hi everyone!
Usually, this forum gave me all the answers i needed, but this time i had to start a thread.
WiFi just stopped working. I don't know when it exactly hapeened, because the PDA wasn't used for several days.
Now, when i go to Ipaq Wireless, WiFi tab and turn it on, it says Status:On, Network: Searching and the WiFi icon i orange color.
But, when i go to View WiFi Networks, it opens the Configure Network Adapters window every time. And when i choose HP iPAQ Wi-Fi Wirelress adapter from the lower list it opens settings window.
After that, when i go to Advanced in Ipaq Wireless window, in the Main tab, field Status says Off., and none of the other fields have anything in them.
And the WiFi LED is not blinking when i try to turn WiFi on.
Maybe there is some registry setting i accidentaly modified, because i tried to fix my dissapearing SD card (after suspend mode) problem by chaning registry values, which seemed to help other people.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
Unplug your phone from the PC will solve the problem.

It wasn't plugged in the PC.
Clean reset did it.
WiFi is working again. I guess it was a matter of conflict with some software.
