this one is from february. mine came with it and it works fine. However, no push email.
According to I-mate a new update will come in march so I'll wait for this new update (or wait for someone to upload a qtek s200 firmware )

Hi there
I have an O2 that is branded Q-Tek apparently from UK. Can any1 tell me the exact url where i can download the latest Rom update as my GPRS keeps on disconnecting and apprently new rom update gas an option to correct this. Also when sending e-mails they do not appear in my sent folder...any ideas?

Have you tried O2 Ireland? Or just wait a week, I guess British O2 will release the update soon...

Hi,
I have the new version qtek ROM and radio stack upgrade
send to me in a cd. I dont have the website for you guys to
download or go to. I dont suppose I could copy it as it would
be illegal or infringe any trade mark etc... Still think you should
check with your supplier or distributors for that upgrade.
Dont be too impatient to upgrade or you will find your qtek
screwed up if you download the wrong type of rom & radio
upgrade. I have learned my lesson the hard way and I hope
others will not have to go through the bad experience that I
have had by not being careful upgrading. Cheers.
Qtek only release upgrades to distributors. It is up to them how to distribute it to the end users.
3.16.52 and T3.23.01 are the latest versions.
Not all of us has distributors in their countries... i got my QTEK while visiting in Europe on work.
I think we should be able to share here not give each other just lessons!

I have upgraded my Qtek through the CD send
by the distributor. No website yet.
Check with your supplier or distributor for that.
I do not mind to share but just dont know how to
put the upgrade on the web for those interested.
Maybe some suggestion here? :idea:

I believe that 3rd party software is included in some of the builds. If you distribute the ROM then people are geting the 3rd party stuff for free.
I do like actually making money our of software I write. Just trying to earn a living.

I got the PocketPC 2003 Phone Edition Rom, ROM 4.01.73 and radio stack 4.52. However I am afraid it is illegal to post even a screenshot here :twisted: .
It is stupid enough to tell everyone have something new , but say "I will not give you any proof because of ...... ".

Links to download 3.16.52/3.23.01 have been posted in other threads. Look around a bit and you should find it.
According to Club-imate, the 1.66 rom update should be released sometime next week for those who are registered on their site.
Is that upgrade going to have the WM Second Edition in it.
Great, that's club I-mate, but what about Carrier Devices in Australia.
The tech support on their site in non-existent. Compare it to O2. I have emailed them twice about the update with no answers at all. In the past I have asked them about the updates posted at club I-mate and they have told me that these are for their Middle East customers only!!!???
I doubt very seriously that 1.66 will include the SE functions. I would expect at least a couple of months for them to tweak it for the imate before releasing it (if they ever do)
If the Club i-mate site recognizes your IMEI, the update will be for you. Carrier Devices have both English and Arab ROMs available (only the 1.52 ROM at the moment), so the information about Australian ROMs that you were given is incorrect, gbvb.
And no - despite the rumour, I believe it won't be Second Edition, which is why I haven't posted it to XDA Developers news as yet. I'd prefer to report on what it has when it comes out ;-)

Hi, just spoke with Suzan at the clubimate site and she confirmed that the new ROM update for Imates will be released in a week's time and will have the WM2003 Second Edition. That is great news and looking forward to it.

This ROM does not have the Windows 2003 SE. I just got the device (2 days ago) and I can assure you it does not contain this newest version of 2003 SE OS. It is simply too early for it to actually have it, as it was just released.
As for why the Device came with the ROM and the Club I-mate has not updated their site yet to download it for club members... this is anyones guess.
Maybe they are having troubles in the "Automated download-- Installation fault free as to not destroy devices" category....

Many of the people on this forum have upgraded using a variety of cooked or not cooked ROMS from various sources......most with excellent results....but some with significant problems / difficulties.
If you are not as brave as that (like me) I would suggest requesting the latest ROM from the QTEK Supplier in your country. I was able to get mine direct from QTEK in Switzerland...www.qtek.ch without problem.

At the time I was living in Switzerland and could not find anyone in Europe who does the upgrade so I sent it to pocketpctechs.com in USA. They have an excellent reputation and a fairly quick turn around if you are happy to pay for the express courier.

it didn't solve my problem, but the ROM upgrade worked out seemlesly
My problem is that i can't make phone calls anhymore due to no sound true de mic and the speakers, but that started in the 1.03.00 WWE version and is still there :evil:

could you please state exactly how you did the upgrade.. as per steps.
i get country id error. did you get the same? i've seen posts about downloading anothe exe file, though some say they didn't need that file.. could it be that buymobiles.net's version is for germany. hence no countryid error.

Any info on when official O2 XDA Exec ROM new version is out ?
I know I can try the NOID tool and then flush an i-mate ROM, but I wouldn't want to make any chances whatsoever loosing my warrenty... Anyone knows when the official new version for th Exec is out? If QTEK and IMATE have already released version I wonder what O2 is waiting for...
