There are new bluetooth version 2 earpieces coming out in the next couple of weeks.
Is the 8125 using version 2 of Bluetooth?
Is it worth waiting for version 2 or are 1.2 earpieces fine?

theunwired posted a review of the Globalsat bt headphone kit here http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=2873#article Towards the end he states "So the E-Ten M600 is the second device with Windows Mobile 5.0 which supports Bluetooth stereo even without having the (according to Microsoft) required AKU 2 on board. The first one, I was aware of is the T-Mobile MDA Pro (HTC Universal) which is also Bluetooth stereo enabled after the latest ROM update from last week."
Has anyone upgraded to the latest mda pro rom and tested A2DP?

These feature packs have not been released for the MDA Pro/Xda Exec yet.
But I have tried it, and it does work.... but it sucks horespower from your pda and makes it run a real pig. On the Prodigy (Mini S) it's even more demanding....
After trying at least 10 different conbinations of rom/bt stack/patch, finally get bt GPS and A2DP headset to co-exist on my XDA II. I want to thank the brains of this forum...
BTW, Here is the first impression:
1.A2DP functioning well.
2.AVRCP also works!
3.Sound quality is great, no dropping/cut-off.
4.Machine is a bit slower when streaming music.
5.Occational re-bonding of the BT GPS receiver needed, but painless, takes less than a minute.
Still enjoying/testing...
I'm using i-Mate PPCPE (XDA II), Moto HT-820 headset, Belkin(Fortuna?) BT GPS receiver. WM5 ROM 2.01a.32WWE (dl from buzzdev), Radio 1.18.00...
Thanks again guys!
WOW, please tel us how?
Hello cpz21,
I have been searching for a solution for awhile now and keep hitting brick walls.
Could you please tell us the method and sources you used.
I am in need of Bonding my Imate xdaii to my Blueant x5 Headset and from my understanding I need a whole lot of upgrades to do so.
My specs are;
I-mate xdaii
PPC Version 4.20.0
ROM Version 1.66.00WWE
Radio Version 1.10.00
Can this be done?
Thanks

If you only need stereo headset, ROM1.72WWE will be okay, just install widcomm BT stack (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=11729&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=73), you don't need wm5.
If you have BT GPS as well, you need to upgrade to wm5, everything works; or you can use xda2jojo's WM2003seUpgrade (http://forum.xda-developers.com/vie...days=0&postorder=asc&highlight=2003se&start=0), but you have to switch between MS BT stack and wicomm BT stack to use stereo headset and GPS.
good luck.

will a 2.0 bluetooth headset work wirh 2.26 shipped tmo mda rom?(1.2 bluetooth)
Yeah
Yep I am using it right now works good.
Anyone know why the Cingular 8525 doesn't currently support the Nokia BH800 bluetooth headset, and when there may be a software update that will fix this?
Is this a problem with all versions of this phone, or just the Cingular one?
i also have the Nokia BH800 (cute headset) and it doesnt wrk properly with my jasjam. The mic is really low, sound is really low, doesnt support handsfree profile (only headset). It is quite strange because on my wife's nokia n73 it works like a charm with all the profiles and redirects all sound to it, even with tomtom nav 6 on her mobile.
Dont know how to help you as I am in the same boat. anyone else have the BH800?
I have the BH800- works absolutely fine with my TyTn using the latest firmware (on the Tytn, not the headset!).
Do we know that the Cingular 8525 will not work with the BH-800 by experience or by heresay??
I had the TyTn for a brief period of time, trialed the JasJam, and now have the 8525 -- thus far the 8525 has proved to have the most stable firmware, better radio, etc. so I can't imagine the Bluetooth being behind.
I just received my 8525 from premiere and it came with a small flyer that reads
The Nokia BH800 and Motorola H670 bluetooth headsets are not compatible with the Cingular 8525 and Cingular 8500 at this time. Compatibility with these headsets will be available via software download in the near future.
help!!
I see that im not the only one having problem with the Nokia BH800, im happly using the Black v3.0.1 rom on my hermes (softbank) but i cant seems to make the BH800 to work handsfree, did any one have a solution for that??

I have the Softbank edition which firmware is recommended to work with the Nokia BH800?
pls help
I think I'm ready to buy a Hermes. I live in a city where Cingular has UMTS up and running. I'm trying to decided if I should buy the 8525 or get one of the other versions of the Hermes.
Are there any benefits from buying a TyTn, Trion, or one of the other Hermes versions other than the forward facing video camera?
I know that some early TyTn's had screen alignment problems and there still exists some bluetooth A2DP, activation by MS VC, and other problems.
I currently own a Wizard and am running Farias AKU 3.3 on it. Everything works splendidly except that Edge internet speeds are driving me crazy.
I'm half wanting to wait until the issues are more fixed or until the Kaiser (xv6800) comes out.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciate.
