does anybody tryed it ? i mean using TCPMP it's possible ?and if it's possible where i can find the url's ?
I think you need to go into more details...
Are you talking about streaming your service providers content, or what exactly?
If it's your service providers conent, you need to find out, what protocol it is being sent tru..
If it's RTSP, well good luck, and let me know, once you've worked it out, cuz i'm here in the dark at the moment.
I don't know of any sites that are allowed to stream the games. At least in the US, not that it matters the US team stinks!

Well I know in australia, you can sign up to a pack with 3, that streams SBS (Free to air channel who have are broadcasting everygame) over the network.
It's $8, but i can't fricken RTSP protocol to work.
BBC.co.uk is streaming the games (it will check you IP address to make sure you are in the UK though). I didn't try it on my universal, but I suppose it could work.

I'm not sure how the games are being broadcast since I do not follow the world cup(sorry), but if they are being broadcast on tv and you have a tv capture card give www.orb.com a try. It works great and will let you stream live tv from your computer to you device. It's also free.....
Kevin

Search for "TV" from here.
He asked for a FREE solution and you suggest Slingbox??? That the MOST expensive solution!!
Diamond TV works without registration with all presets what it has, you can´t only add custom channels

Yes, but a one time fee... and it's worth every f...g cent. I was always looking to get TV on my baby, and now I got it, with HSPDA or Wifi an absolutely great image as well, with Edge reasonable image quality..... Swisscom TV has much poorerer image quality
Diamond Tv is a bit of a rip off. Nothing amazing really. Its just a load of bookmarks.
You can get all the channels for free here http://www.streams4pda.com/
Enjoy!
Try this, it's free...for the time being.
Works a little bit like sling.... stream your tv tuner on your pc trough your pda.

it DOESN'T work on my x1. it did used to work when i'd updated the user agent as per this thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=450552&highlight=iplayer&page=2
I went to bbc iplayer site with no modification to user agent, I can browse all content catchup, Live TV but most of time when I choose a program either stream doesn't work e.g. BBC news or if choosing BBC 4 or any serie e.g. Top Gear I receive the message "Sorry, this programme is currently unavailable". I am using wifi, anything else I should do? thanks
btw, some of the series states "available until 14th, 16th dec etc"

i now get the same message where i didn't before. obviously vodafone don't want us watching iplayer over their network. :-(
Works over WiFi for me, with no modifications to the user agent.
Surely you wouldn't want to be using it over 3G/HSDPA?? Wouldn't that cost a fortune??!
Couldn't view Live TV btw, just Catch Up. (No complaints haha)
would it be something to do with location, I live in Sweden and no matter what I choose from Catch up it's always unavailbale. I guess same as when trying to watch US NBC shows, series...

Iplayer is supposedly only open to UK residents as we pay the licence fee to allow the bbc to develop all these toys ;P
Hope this is in the righ forum (wasn't sure if it should go in 'apps') - apologies if it's wrong.
I use to have the sky TV app on my nokia a couple of years ago for remote setting of programmes to record.
I try to sign up for the new app but get an error message that sky mobile anytime is not compatible with my device - I don't want the full 'anytime' - ie tv streaming etc - just want to be able to remotely set my sky box to record - surely this is compatible with Windows Mobile ?
Am I missing the plot somewhere here ? has anyone got this to work ?

This is one of the few apps i miss from my nokia. Their isn't any version for windows mobile. I have installed the java version but it doesn't work without a keyboard
I've found a way to make the sky app work. Posted it here.
I noticed that there was an iphone app for browsing the freeview tv schedule in the UK. Has anyone found something similar for windows mobile devices? Or do you know of any program that has the ability to download weekly updates for tv viewing? It would be nice to have an app for this.
In a totally separate question, has anyone found any Mpeg-4 usb tv sticks that can receive the new Freeview HD signals yet? I've used an mpeg-2 stick for a while and synced programs to my blackstone before, but would like to upgrade to a new HD stick. I've written to a few main players in this market, ie. Hauppuage, and they say that they won't have a product out until just before the world cup.
As an alternative perhaps someone knows of an RSS feed for the guide info?
There is one called On TV v1.31 uk, but you can't store the listings,I'm looking for one like that.

Yeah thx but tried that one, and as you say not being able to store them isn't very useful.

The pics aren't loading on that msmobiles site for me, and I can't see that working on the HD.
And I've already scoured google to a depth of 20 pages or so with little success.
I've started attempting to write a little program to do the things I wanted with it. As I suck at programming it's going to take a while, but if I ever get it finished i'll post it on here.
I hadn't tried this site on my HD until now, but it actually formats fantastically on the HD (on Opera, both vertical and horizontal):
http://www.tvcatchup.com/guide.html
If you sign up, you can then watch the channels, but as it's flash its only watchable on the PC, unwatchable on the HD
