Hi, I upgraded my QTEC to the ff Test rom
ROM version: 4.00.01 ENG
ROM date : 05/16/03
Radio version: 3.23.01
Protocol version: 32s54
using activesync 3.7 on WinXP
The ppc worked fine, but when I try to sync to my pc, it sometimes connects, but I cannot expore, or sync contacts etc. It just hangs on the progress bar. Tried both on USB on desktop and IR on my laptop, same problem. When I disconnect my ppc, and try to use it, it freezes and I have to reset.
I have tried reinstalling app. Soft and hard reset. Nothing works. Please help.
I've setup ActiveSync as dictated many times in the posts here and it doesn't complain one bit when syncing.
However, after a sync takes place (claiming success) there is no email in my message view for outlook mail.
Details: I'll even watch the sync take place stating 0/54 to 16/54 to 54/54, then a success message. Yet to no avail.
I've turned on Verbose logging, with no tell-tale messages shown.
Device Info:
ROM version: 1.8.10.2 WWE
ROM date: 12/10/05
Radio version 01.09.10
Protocol version: 4.0.13.20
ExtROM version: 1.8.10.104
Things doublechecked:
Exchange 2k3 - check
OWA login - check
GPRS connection - check
GPRS Inet access - check
Anyone seen this before?
Feel free to lambast me with what I've not done.
Thanks,
The thing is when I'm trying to sync my Qtek 9100 with MS Outlook, it syncs only Tasks & Notes. As for Calendar - I see no any entry from MSOutllok in my Qtek. Also strange thing for Contacts - only 369 of 455 are copied to Qtek. Tried to erase everything from 9100 & sync againg with Outlook, changed folders content in Outlook - no effect. Finally, change ROM on my 9100 to Mr.Clean 2.24 - there is no effect

Did you activate the hsdpa protocol ?
No I have not. Can you send a thread or tell me how to open that protocol? Is this done by the provider or on the handset itself?
Also how will this help if I can not even connect to GPRS/EDGE?
I have resolved planning in setting->connection->gprs setting

Problem:
ActiveSync isn't working anymore. After a lot of research and a lot of forum searching and trying almost everything. I think a found where the problem is.
What I think is that my HTC Wizard isn't announcing it present as a USB device. Because there isn't anything show in Device Manager, not even as unknown device!
For the Linux users here lshw -businfo|grep info is empty. There is no sign at all.
But when going in boot mode and connect the USB cable I see on the HTC Wizard that there's a USB connection.
I've tried many different cables to be sure that it wasn't the cables. Also I tried different computer's and different USB port's. But still nothing.
I know that maybe there's someone who had the same problem, if so please post a link the that thread.
PS: sorry for my bad English.
Don't know if its the same, but here's an active thread on USB issues:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=301328
I have seen that one, but it isn't solved. Also I already did try everything that is writing there.
I'm almost sure that the problem is in the HTC Wizard. But I don't have any idea what I have to do next.
After more research I found out that the HTC Wizard have to be reconginze as a NIC (network interface card), which ActiveSync talk (TCP/IP) with it. Only in my case there is no NIC, except for my normal NIC card.
Also maybe I should mention that it worked for a long time, but when I updated the ROM to t-mobile 2.21 it stoped working.
Isn't anyone out here who know how to solve this?
