i have an mda compact 2 and cant install tomtom 3. got an official copy, but it doesnt allow the install to take place...
come us wth typical windows eror " cannot continue due to application error"
anyone have any ideas.?

I have an MDA Vario and have installed Tom Tom 5 but when i start it the programme hangs without openning and all i get is the windows logo indicating that it should be loading......

tt5 version 5.12 works ok on mine.... the others seem to install correctly.
The other problem I had was the restriction on running "unsigned code" - you (possibly) need to disable the warning. Check http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=39725 for a tool to do this (tweak3 tab)

if not, get the latest update for free and try to install it.

If this does'nt help maybee somthing was wron with your first installation. Than try to remove it, reinstall tt5 again than the update to 5.2.
Hi guys!
Somebody tried to change language (as he told me) on MDA T-Mobile Compact (PM10A) and during the process it was disconnected. Resault - it doesn't power on and only when it's connected to computer there is only "USB v1.00" on the screen.
I downloaded these files:
HTC Magician ROM Update 13 - 39.5 Mb
MagicianRadio 1.13.00 - 1.17 Mb
but when I flash MDA T-Mobile Compact I always get error mesage "Error 114: Radio Rom Update Error".
I guess it's only UPDATE files and I need ...some... basic or... full flash!? I don't know how it refers to. So if anybody have these files please post them.
Or explain to me what files I must to have for revive PPC

Is your phone sim locked? If yes, search for threads discussing the matter. Likewise search and read through the tutorials on how to perform ROM upgrades.
I’m using an htc tytn ii and trying to install tomtom navigation software version 7 there on but getting the error “Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it has not been digitally signed by a trusted certificate” where after the instalation shuts down. I’ve tried the tomtom software on my tytn with the same result. Any help?
I’ve already tried the file default-signed-disablesecurity.zip as well as turning off the appropriate messages with kaiser tweak with out any success. the tytn ii uses windows mobile 6 and the tytn windows mobile 5 just for some extre information in case it’s necessary

2nd, i had no problem installing TT7 on my Universal w/ WM6. Yes, it *****ed about Unsigned code but I selected OK and it installed just fined. Perhaps u downloaded a bad copy of TT7. Use the 7.450 version.

i have a Problem with flashing my MDA Compact!! I install the unlock tool from this forum but the MDA give me an error message.
I reset them but after that the MDA starts but i allways musst set up again.
The T-Mobile software get install after that.
When it finished the bootloader start. (If the USB cabel is conected they show USB and the Version v1.02 if not Serial and v1.02)
I use a ROM and want to install but they show ERROR 150 or that the image isn t for your mobile device.
The PC install the USB drivers but it doesnt show in Explorer and the Mobile device center also not connect.
Now I get them start I open the Battery Case when he install the T-Mobile software after set up.
But I can t install a new ROM the orginal Win Mobile 5 update cant install he give the error 101 no connection. The Bootloader is open but no connection is establish
My operating system is Win Vista. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!
Are you sure you have a MDA Compact I? There is no WM5 for MDA Compact (Magician), but only for MDA Compact II (Charmer)! Unfortunately, both devices look the same!!
I have a MDA Vario II.
As i read in an other thread, i should perform the HardSPL.
During this process i got the message "error [260]: Update error".
I tried this on XP 32 bit and Win 7 64 bit. Both without success.
Can somebody tell me the reason and/or a solution?.
