When I try to send a text message or try to get to my phone options such as call forwarding, I get this message, " The phone is not ready, Wait 15 seconds and try again." The phone worked at first, I was able to send one text message but now nothing. I had a software problem and had to hard reset it. I can make phone calls no problem though. When I go to settings>phone, it gives me the same message.
I have done most of the registry hacks and I am wondering coudl these have caused the problem. I have searched the cingular forum and found nothing yet. Basically it does not seem to be connect to the network for me to set things up but I can make calls. I can use media net as well to access the internet. Any suggestions? I am located in texas by Houston. Thanks

Have you tried your SIM in a different phone and have you called your (un-named) network to see if they have any issues?
Sim worked well on other phone. I made hard reset, so everything now woks fine.
I have a problem with my phone, sometimes I need to transfer an ongoing call to another phone and I do not want to have a conference. My service providers says I have all the rights to do it but I can not get it to work.
I have tried to use a conference and then haning up: result the calls are ended.
I have tried to push 4 and the telephone button but that does not work.
Please help me.

Hello,
Have you tried going to 'Start -> Settings -> Phone -> Services' and selecting call forwarding? there might be some options in there, but i cant remember it having an option to forward once you have accepted a call. You never know your luck though...
I needed that long time ago, but couldn't find the option for it. I thought the device doesn't support call forwarding! Thank you for pointing that out.
Hey guys I have a T-mobile HD2 with a 2.08 radio with the touch extreme rom. Just recently I started to have problems sending MMS messages. It will tell me that it was unable to send the message and tells me to check connection. So i go to connections and press and hole the T-Mobile connection until the connect option pops up. I press the connect button and try to send it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. It this the reason why people try diffrent radios or is there another solution. Any help woud be appreciated. Very frustrating.
I am having a problem now too. Had my HD2 for almost 4 months now and never had a problem until now.
I can't send or receive MMS messages. Text only works just fine but if I try to send or receive any type of audio, video, or picture message it simply gives me an "unable to send message" error notification.
I never had problems before. Tried going into settings to lower the file size limit, still doesn't work.
Help?
I'm not sure, but I think you have to add a special feature to your plan to send anything but text with t-mobile.
I've just bought a second hand omnia 7, i put my sim card in and went straight on facebook so i assumed it was fine.. i then realised i couldnt make calls or send texts, and none of my calls went through. i tried it on a different sim and had the same problem.. HELP
I also have this problem any help? I cant make/send calls or texts but can get on G and browse the internet, could this be a problem with the setting on the phone? APN's maby? done 2 factory resets and recieved a text from windows phone saying welcome but thats all it will do....
I have the same problem, after some time. Messaging and calls stop working...
Has anyone come up with a fix for this?
I have full signal on an unlocked Omnia 7 but it is a simple case of not being able to make any calls or texts (or receive them for that matter).
Maybe they tamperd in Diagnostic Tools. I messed aroun and had a hard time restoring the radio settings. Look for diagnostic codes here you find a toon if codes to use. Hit this in your dial pad and you install and start the diagnostic tools.
##634#
You need to find the codes (cant remember em im afraid) that gives access to gsm/3G section.
Just had to look =P
- Hit *#32489# and you get to Cyphering. Mine is on
- Hit back once and you can press [5] RRC (HSPA). Mine is set to REL6
- If you back to the side where we could find the above [5]RRC option, you have below a Dual Mode setting. Mine says "Not ACT"
- When you type in *#32489# you can press back 2 times. There you can select option [7] Network settings. In there you can look if stuff is in automatic modes. Like...
[2] Band selection, mine is in automatic.
Well, there you have it. Something to compare to a working device. A hard reset won't put these values to default so you will have to look for your self. Now be carfull in there, you can do more damage if you dont acctully read what the pages says. If you understand what im saying, there should be no problems. Check out your settings and compare to mine. Se any diff just set it like i given advice on. Hope this helps..
Cheers for the advice but it hasn't helped as I have the same settings as you, another thing to add whenever I do try to make a call it comes up "00:00 Call Ended". I hope that may help someone in diagnosing the problem.
Have you tried downloading the Samsung Network Profile tool from Marketplace and then changing the Active profile to your SIM card?
Hvae you tried putting an unbranded ROM on? (even an old one as Zune will update with the unbranded ROM!!)
Same problem tried different ROMS but still have "Emergency Only".
The SIM is OK.
anybody found a fix for this problem ? im also suffering but the phone will receive texts and voice-mail on the orange network, it was on orange before i got it unlocked.
thanks hope there is help out there
Anyone else use Youmail with this phone? I cannot get the phone to get into the "Call Forwarding" section of the phone, as I get "Sim Error or Network Error", I put the sim in my old S4, and I can get Youmail to work and the phone to forward the calls. I am at a loss.
I use YouMail on my s7edge. It works just fine. YouMail should setup the call forwarding options for you.
Me Too
Sorry I have nothing good to report. Just a simple "Me Too".
I've spent a couple of hours trying to get YouMail set up on S7 but VMs still go to built-in VisualVoicemail. Spent an hour on the phone with AT&T last night and they couldn't resolve it either. They tried (a) dropping me to "basic" voicemail, (b) manually adding the forwarding number to my account, and even (c) removing VM from my account altogether. (there's probably a (d), (e), (f), and (g)...i just don't recall now...).
Next step is to contact YouMail tech support. I'll report back with any news.
EDIT: Meant to also mention that accessing the Call Forwarding settings also gives me an error. "Failed to read data. Network or SIM card error."

So I went to do this again, and now its giving me the same Failed to read data error. hit back, and tried it again and it read for about 40 seconds and finally loaded.
Upon further testing, it looks like if wifi is off, and i'm only on cellular data, it won't read. If I connect to wifi, it takes a while, but it will read and let me make changes. So try connecting to wifi and giving it a shot
I found that I was able to sometimes get into the CCF settings, but still couldn't save the new numbers. My GoogleFu turned up a suggestion to put the SIM card into a different phone, setup the CCF and then move the SIM card back. Will try that tonight with a spare phone I have at home...
