I can not connect to my PC

all i get is
Generic RNDIS and it is asking for the drivers
and i don't have the drivers..

no worries, just installed activesync 4.1 and it worked fine
just connet with Activesync 4.1
The firewall has caused me many problems on the begining but I have the hang of it now and syncing is much easier.

i cant seem to get my magician to connect to my pc ive tried active sync 3.7.1 and 4.0 but neither seem to work i plug the cable into my pc and it recognises it but tries to install something called generic RNDIS.
im running windows xp
any ideas?

Device Manager: (?) PocketPC USB Sync: "The Drivers for this device are not installed"
I would therefore like to reinstall them as prompted.

(PS, it detected USB link and ActiveSync'd immediately on my work PC).
don't need set driver, when u set active sync it also set diver 4 u, u should reinstall. maybe win on pcc hava problem

installing ActiveSync 4.5 sorted the problem - you learn something new every day. Strangely enough, it took a number of PC resets to get ActiveSync to 'do it's stuff', got there in the end though!

I am having trouble getting my Wizard to communicate with a computer running Windows XP and ActiveSync 4.5. It's been awhile since I've synced it to an XP machine, as the one I primarily use is Vista, and it seems to work fine. When I plug it in it either sees it as an internet connection, or if I disable the advanced connection settings on my device it seems to install it correctly, but then it doesn't open up ActiveSync.
I'm running a custom WM6 rom that I installed about a year ago, and was looking to upgrade, which I hear XP is the most reliable for. Any idea what the problem could be? I also don't seem to be able to open Activesync by itself when the device is not installed, could it be a problem with the program itself on my XP machine?

It must be the problem on the xp machine unisntall the activesync reset your pc... reinstall it and then i suggest you... if you will upgrade make a hardreset before plug your device to sync.
Well, that got ActiveSync working again on the PC, the icon showed up on the bar and I was able to open the program. But as soon as I plugged in my device, the program closed again, and now it won't open. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling again, but I got the same result. Any other suggestions?
guys, i'm a new user in using this device & i've got a problem connecting my device to my PC.. my device is using WM 5 while my PC is using windows XP SP 3.. i've installed ActiveSync 4.5 in order to connect my device to my pc.. however, when i plugged in the USB cable into my pc, there was an error saying that "Windows CE USB Device" needs to be installed.. i set the source folder of the driver to be installed in activesync folder installed in my pc but it didn't work.. as the result, the microsoft activesync can't connect my device to my pc.. i've tried to reinstall the software, restart the device, restart the pc but none of them worked.. so anyone can help?? thanks in advance..

at startup i get the error wcescomm.exe failed to initialize properly and because of that i can't get ActiveSync won't start and i can't sync. i have uninstalled and reinstalled many times but still the same. i have redownloaded the install for ActiveSync and still same results. does anyone have a clue what's wrong. I'm using ActiveSync 4.5 on win xp sp2 with full computer administrator priveleges.

i looked up on another thread and i can sync phone until computer recognizes phone
