Hi,
Quite new to this excellent forum and a recent convert to an MDA Pro from an iPaq hx4700......
Is there any way I can 'see' my MDA from my PC to transfer files etc. ? I can happily see the shared folders on my PC from the MDA Pro, when on my wireless network, but am wondering how to locate and send/view files on my MDA Pro from my PC......can this be done ?

Hi,
I am using ActiveSync via Bluetooth ty sync my MDA Compact (HTC Magician...) with computer.
When I am trying to upload files to Storage Card in MDA, it always brokes. Sometimes one or two mp3s are uploaded, then ActiveSync disconnects. Everytime there are unfinished files.
There is enough space in card, same as memory of MDA is not full...
Do you use this way to upload files into MDA?
Does it work for you?
Installing (usually smaller than one mp3 size..) programs works for me.
Re: ActiveSync - Explore doesn't lettransfer mp3s via Blueto

I have never sync files with bluetooth but the fastest way is to use a USB cable - open windows explorer or similar app and drop the desire file in the storage card folder.
nevertheless you should be able to sync mp3 via bluetooth without problems. Bare in mind that as well as turning on bluetooth you need to tick receive all incoming beams
I´m quite new with my MDA may be some experience guys can help you further
Does anyone know how to connect my laptop to internet by Bluetooth at MDA Compact ? I had Bluesoleil drivers at laptop, and MDA.
"Wireless Modem" doesn't works at Bluesoleil drivers.
I'm using MDA Compact 2 (WM5), which I think ought to be the same. You don't need fancy stuff to have it connected. I did it before, and I have some instructions somewhere in this forum.
Anyway, when sync-ing your device (whatever method), try accessing internet on your device. If that is ok, you just need to use your bluetooth to sync your device to have internet connetion. Its an easy job.
It doesn't work. When I sync, my MDA try to access to Internet via laptop.
I need connect my laptop via MDA (GPRS), not MDA via laptop.
If U do a search on this forum, U should be able to find ActiveSync over BT discussion (for me, I use the stock BT driver.) After activesync, U got internet aceess thru activesync.
I was wondering if it was possible through some program hack or setup to use the HTC wizard as a wifi adapter for my computer. i've heard that WM6 has a program that does that but i'm very skeptical about upgrading.
please, I am trying to connect my mda vario to a HDD behind a NSLU2 (linux network server with 2 usb ports), but its not possible?
also have a dreambox with hdd, (linux to) and there its no trouble to connect via vm network browser.
but on the NSLU2 I see it in My Network, but when i click on it I get an error.."error conecting to resource: 58"
in the past I had an Ipaq 3630, with wifi adapter, z2 pocketlan, and there it works fine, no problem at all. this program also did not work on the vario.
i tried als total commander
resco file explorer
al of them did not work?
so what am I doing worng?
(also tried google, but no answer yet)
sorry for my english, i am dutch

You'll need WM5torage so that Linux detects your MDA.

Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to bridge the wlan and usb on a HTC Tytn II (Kaiser) WM 6.1 Pro
Pls see the attached image for the layout of the network.
I would like for PC 1 to obtain it's ip directly from the router's dhcp.
I googled this and searched the forum but had no luck. Any help would be really apreciated. Thanks
PS. I am using ICS Control v0.21 to share the wlan connection on the Tytn II
I use "WMWifiRouter" for such purposes.
I haven't used that exact setup yet, the ones i've used are the 3 top ones in the picture, but it should work with your setup as well =)
