I am missing my AUTD settings from my ActiveSync schedule dialog. Anyone know how I can get them back?

Send/receive (and others) disabled in Outlook on ROM 1.6.7.1

Yesterday I flashed my K-JAM with RUU_Prodigy_1060701_101_11310_QTEK_WWE_Ship. Everything seems ok except for one thing. In Pocket Outlook, several menu items are now grayed out:
* send/receive
* tools | manage folders
* tools | empty deleted items
* tools | clear "outlook email"
This is a bit unfortuate for me. I roam internationally a lot, and therefore leave my EAS settings to sync manually. On the original ROM it was a breeze to get mail: just do a send/receive. Now I have to go into ActiveSync and tell it to sync.
However, the lack of folder management is a major problem. Usually I want to sync only my inbox; sometimes I want to sync another folder or two. I can't do this now.
Any thoughts? Has anyone discovered a fix? Or is my only option to downgrade to a different version?

Got it solved! After reading through several messages here, I stumbled across a suggestion that worked.
Apparently, if your first sync to your device is through your PC rather than GPRS, Pocket Outlook decides that you really want to manage all your settings through ActiveSync on your PC. Of course, that's not what we really want, so you have to teach ActiveSync your true desires.
In ActiveSync options on your device, select "Exchange Server" and click Delete. After it finishes deleting, soft-reset your device. Now re-create your server connection, and perform a sync over GPRS.
Now, send/receive will be available, as will Tools | Manage Folders. The other two Tools options are still grayed out.

Hi, i got exactly the same problem
it ridiculous to leave Pop3 users in the dark!
Anyway, I read your reply, but cant figure out how to do this.
What do you mean by the activesync settings on my PPC device? where is this located?
And what about the exchange server creating and deleting (does my ppc needs to stay connected?)
do you have a threat, or maybe describe it in detail?
My problem was with Pocket Outlook's synchronization with an Exchange server, not a POP3 mailbox. What are you trying to connect to?

Active Sync starting up on its own, when not connectyed..

I find active sync running when it should not be.
How can make run only when I want it to. Manually start and stop active sync.
Add a new server(like dummy exchange server) and then select manually sync. and the activesync shouldn't turn on by itself.
Does a soft reset remove these settings ???

Delete Email Account (Eg: Hotmail)

I recently bought a new MDA. I managed to add Hotmail as an account to my Messages. Now I dont know how to delete it. Please help!!!
My hotmail has too many emails and I dont want to sync my MDA with my hotmail account. I can always check my emails by going online, I didnt think about this
Also I think a hard reset could delete this account. According to instructions I need to hold down the Comm Manager and Voice Command button together and they press RESET with stylus. This didnt work. Do I do a hard reset with my phone switched on or off.
Any help is much appreciated, Thanks.
You don't need to hard reset your device. When you're under the Messenging just go to "Menu" then "tools" and go to "options." Once you're in that screen, tap and hold the stylus on the account you want to delete and a side menu will pop up with delete. Tap it, then press yes. You're done.
Thanks for you prompt reply. I do not see my added account in there. I am in Messeges > Menu > Tools > Options. All i see is Text Messeges and New Account. When I try to click on Menu I see 'Clear Hotmai' as an option but it is greyed out.
Please advise.
Weird. I guess if you're willing to hard reset, an easy way is to go to the start menu, then systems and press "clear storage" it will ask for the password, default password is 1234. This wipes the phone clean and starts from fresh. Good luck
It worked, Thanks.
Future reference.....
Start---Programs---Pocket MSN---Options---Clear saved password
then proceed to the Switch User tab. Tap Yes to confirm.
That's all. It'll remove your Hotmail accout as well as the large amount e-mails you've downloaded from your hotmail application.
No need for a hard reset.
Agg how to delete hotmail account
I too have accidently hit the hotmail account and now have it in my mail accounts. However I can't delete it like I can the others as it doesn't show in my tool> mail accounts, or by switching user and clearing password in Pocket MSN, I've cleared the user from there but the account still appears. I've tried deleting that file from another thread using dbview and access the email.vol
I've a MDA Vario/HTC Wizard. I'm not sure if some of the hacks are different models. I'm starting to confuse myself. So can someone point me to the correct thread or give me a better solution.
Also, like to delete the default outlook account as well. As it doesn't appear in the list either.
Thanks

Outlook Exchange Problem

Hello,
I have a problem when trying to receive Outlook email on my Tytn. When I send/receive the message at the bottom says connecting etc and then finishes without actually downloading any emails. I have also tried in Activesync but have the same problem. Everything else from the server is syncing ie. contacts, calender with no problem. For a test I added the Sent Items folder to the receive options in Outlook and this did work and downloaded my sent items but still no Inbox items. I also trimmed my desktop inbox down to 10 emails but this didn't work either. Any ideas?
Cheers,
Yostin.
try changing the folders (from your mailbox) which are sync'd
first i'd say make sure junk sync is off
also try changing the mail format and or size limit; i.e. plain text upto 50kb etc. etc.
hope this helps
Try sending/receiving with your outlook open on your PC. We determined that our antivirus was not checking the mail until outlook was opened, and not allowing the mail to be sent to the device since it hadn't been scanned. Simple change in the AV fixed.
Thanks for the replies. What I have found is that if I do a hard reset, set up Activesync without connecting to my PC and the sync over the 3G network it works. When I run my SPB backup file to get things back to where I was, it obviously doesn't work again. I remember setting up Activesync originally with my PC connected so this seems to have screwed things up somehow. I tried deleting the association in Activesync but this didn't work. Does anybody know which settings I should be looking for to correct this problem? I know I could just reinstall everything and adjust my settings again but I would like to know the cause of this problem and fix it instead.
Cheers,
Yostin.

Outlook account missing from Mail home page

Somehow I seem to have lost the "envelope" icon for the Outlook account on my Mail Home page.
I have two POP3 mail accounts and the Outlook account and previously there were "envelope" icons for all three accounts together with the new message icon on my Mail home page.
Now I just have just have two envelopes for the POP3 accounts and the new message icon - the Outlook "envelope" has disappeared. If I go to the Inbox all three accounts are there as before and work normally.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can restore the icon to the Mail page without a hard reset ?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
try switching off mail synchro in active-sync on PC -> activate a sync once -> reboot the phone -> switch active-sync on PC on again -> sync once again -> check phone

rhtizzy, many thanks for the response and the suggestion.
Sadly it made no difference. The process removed and then restored all my Outlook mail but there is still no "Envelope" icon for the Outlook account on the Mail TouchFlo Screen.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated
I've got the same issue. My push mail is coming down to outlook and I even get the new mail displayed as a little envelope with the number of mail on it at the base of the screen. However the main screen is blank and says No account and I only get the option to add a new one. If I go into messaging everything works fine. Any help would be gratefully received.
Having done a good trawl around google it looks like the issue may be Intellisync. Other users who have it display the same issue. It is down to the lack of harmony between TF3D and intellisync. I haven't found a work around or fix yet although someone mentioned hotsyncing to a new outlook programme at least created the mail account if not all of the settings. Sadly I also can't sync to any desktops as it looks like Intellisync is blocking me.
Found the solution
Ok - It looks like I've found the workaround. My guess is that intellisync is added seperately and so doesn't add the outlook details to the main mail page. 1/ First make sure that you turn on the 'activesync' as this is disabled by intellisync (settings for this are in the 'settings/activesync' area of intellisync program)
2/ Make sure that your desktop or laptop has either activesync (for xp) or mobile sync software (for vista) installed.
3/ Set up a new partnership ensuring that 'mail' will synchronise.
3/ Sync with Ms Outlook. NB - I advise using a clean install of ms outlook to ensure no conflicts.
4/ Your mail account is now added to TF3D with full interaction with your account:!
