Serial relay over GPRS?

Hi,
I was wondering if it was feesible to write a program that could transmit serial data over a TCP connection over GPRS? I was planning on connecting COM1 of my XDA II to a microcontroller.
If its all possible, is there any way I can use Visual Studio 2005 Express? I dont have a great deal of money at the moment being a student :/
You cannot use VS 2005 express. It does not support PocketPC platform. But you can download a free Embedded Visual C++ 4.0 compiler from Microsoft and write such a program. Or you can use eDonkey and download a beta version of VisualStudio 2005.
cool cheers

Viewing a webcam with MSN Messenger for 2003se

HI
Is it possiable to view a webcam image with MSN Messenger for pocket pc using Mobile 2003se.
I have looked at the tools option within the MSN Messenger software currently running om my XDA II with Mobile 2003se, & can find no option to receive a webcam call or sound?
Having searched the net on this issue, I have found mention of a program called Microsoft Portrait which appears to give this function to MSN Messenger, but although this is a microsoft product, which is currently downloadable, I am a little reluctant to try as it's dated 2004 ver 2.3.
I have also looked at upgrades for MSN Messenger for Mobile 2003se & there is a site which will upgrade the product via Activesync, but with no listing of what features are available, or version No. to check against.
(Is it actually possiable to identify version of MSN Messenger running under 2003se in some way?)
Has anyone gone through this route before who can help me?

MS Access for Pocket PC for WM5

Is there a database tool for pocket pc like MS access for WM5.
I have seen this : http://www.kaione.com/index.html
Any ideas
Hi Digs,
I have SprintDB Pro 3.0 and it works firn on WM 5.0. You can create forms/subforms/fields and program their behaviour like in MS Access, and you can synchronize the tables and DB with and Access DB on the desktop PC. Give it a try, it is worth to have a look at least.

New free voip app

Just tried this new app for pocket pcs to the desktop computer. Set-up was easy and I made a call from my desktop to my pocket pc , and then reversed it and made a call from my pocket pc to my desktop. All calls are FREE. You can download it here http://www.ineen.com/
Well, given the release has almost 3 years now, I don't see this as new as you
