You have to wait for a ROM update, because, as far as I know, currently no ROMS supports stereo Bluetooth.
Hey,
I had ordered the bluetake i-phono 450rx before I found out the universal doesn't support a2dp yet, but hopefully it wil with a rom-update. So I cancelled it and will wait 'till there's an update.
I recieved a mail a few minutes ago from Sweden's Qtek support who says that A2DP would probably not be included in the new upcoming update either :/... Is he just talkin bull**** or?
I think there are a lot of desperate stereo-seekers around. Me being one of them, following a rather premature purchase of a BT stereo headset this week.
Looks like, as with most things when it comes to the Universal, we'll have to wait...I hear there are copies of an A2DP add-on out there somewhere, but that's only for the privilidged few.
Us minions who had to shell out for our devices have to wait patiently before it's eventually delivered for the Universal...OEM's can apparently get it right for other devices, but they're struggling badly with ours. Frustrating, is the word!

Hello.
Does anybody know if SonyEricsson's headsets works with the Magician? The connector fits, but are the electronics compatible? I mean:
* Are the headphones wired the same way?
* Is the microphone wired the same way?
* Does the answer button work?
// Anders
My Sony P800 headsets work perfectly with my i-mate Jam, they have exactly the same wiring.
Als so heard that the SE P900 headsets work with the i-mate JAM. I can't confirm it myself.
I will keep this in mind, a good headset is always welcome !! ;o)
Kind regards,
R.
Sales person who I spoke with refered me to the SE Akino (somehting like that) over the Jabra.
He said that there is less noise and interference between a SE Headset and the Jam.
im using akono hbh-600 with my mdac without any problems.

quappo
HBH-660, with caller id
Working well for BT headset, caller id is not perfect on my XDA mini.
Best regards,
Arto
My Sony P900 headsets work without problem with jam
Thanks a lot everyone!
The cable of the SE-headset seems to be developed with cold weather in mind. The HTC-headset cable freezes and gets stiff as a stick when temperature drops below 5 degrees celsius.
With a Sony MDR EX51 modded SE-headset i'm sure I will be completely satisfied!

My P900 headset works perfectly with my jam all the functions above works smoothly ... 8)
Is there a reason to use this one over standard one?
Is the sound quality better on the P-900 headsets? Is it worth switching?
it is not only the sound, I find the earbuds with the "default" handset just a tad too big for my ears...
Blue Angel
This is interesting, has anyone tried the same trick and used Sony Ericsson 2.5mm hedset on a Blue Angel device, the cheap pair that came with it are unuseable with dreadfully low mic gain, however my old P800 ser were great

but could not make it the default hands free.
What BT-STACK are You using?

Is it possible to get stereo over bluetooth? And which headset should i buy if so?
Thanks
Hi q-big,
Sorry no stereo yet on the K-Jam using a Stereo headset (bluetooth).
I use a Motorolla Bluetooth Stereo headset but the A2DP profile is not supported yet by the K-Jam. There will be an ROM upgrade coming beginning next year including this profile so not yet!
You can use mono for the headset using a tiny switch program somebody on the forum made. Then all sound will be sent to your headset in mono. It is not super but I've been enjoying it since!
Wouter
q-biG = q-biq ;P..
thanks for the answer. then i think i'm gonna wait for the upgrade, mono sucks
Hello,
Maybe you could try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33532
It does work for Magician and seems that a Universal owner also installed it sucessfully.
Cheers

I tried, but it does not work with my Dopod 838, aka HTC wizzard. Seems to be the restriction of WM5 and need to wait for the update from MS. Maybe you can check this post PREVIEW: Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 2 Bluetooth A2DP Profile for reference.

i just bought o2blue and very interesting when riding motorcycle with a cool mp3 songs.....but till now I still cant off it...dont know how....waaaaaaaa
motorol have a new stereo bluetooth headset, i bought it but brought it back to the shop as it was far to big, not only that bu the design also hurts your ears after a while. I've personally alway been after a stereo bluetooth headset bu all the ones i have tried in the past (yes sony did make one years ago) i've found to be bad in performance
hi,
i have just bought a bluetooth headset ht820 but the problem is it cannot play mp3 sound to the bluetooth headset.. the headset can only be used as a hands free device.. anyone pls help me with this A2DP software?
got the same headphones and k-jam,
and a rom has just been posted that may ave a2dp, but the problem is that is in french.
so i am waiting for english version.
You should be quite happy with the BT820; I just bought a pair for use with my SX66 (which does support A2DP), and they work quite well in both stereo and handsfree modes.
now they work properly, i don't mind so much looking like princess Leia from starwars

where can i find that rom ??? let me know
Can anyone confirm compatibility? I think they look the best out of the BT headphones available but I want to make sure they work with the wizard?
Mine has BT 2.0 on it, does that make any difference?
yes it works like a charm
i have one myself, sound is realy good
you need the aku2 rom installed for ad2p
If you have BT2.0 on your Wizzard then it should work.
I've got the Logitech bluetooth headphones and they work with 2.0.
The ones from HP look similar as the ones from Logitech.
Cheers,
Drifter
I've got the Qtek pre-release ROM which I thought had BT 2? It's got push email. Am I right?
You've got it there mate.
Hi,
I have htc 3600, HTC Mteor and SonyEricsson HBH-600!
I can't use headset with both devices at the same time (not same call, i think on normal use of two devices) , because headset will connect on first device and ignore other!
It's little bit unuseless for me and the same problem was with HTC & Nokia 6230, and qtek s200 & Nokia 6230, my previous combination!!
The question is which BT headset to buy, device that will be smart enough to disconnect from htc after call to be ready for receiving call from 2nd htc....
Thanks,
Regards
look here: http://www.omiz.com.cn/new/products.asp?cat=4
...scroll down for the twin-cellphone bluetooth headset.
enjoy

You can also use the Plantronics Voyager 510.
It supports BT Multipoint, I use it myself to switch between my trinity and PC programs like skype and MSN.
I think it works great.
Scala 700
will do the job as well...
http://www.cardowireless.com/scala700/
Ill try with plantronics, tnx to all...

Any ideas about a stereo BT headset that would deliver this fucntionality?
Cheers.
I wouldn't buy a BT stereo headset just yet, at least not until a ROM update.
Use the search function in this forum and you'll see that their are still some problems with it.
I really want to get a pair too, I really like the set from jabra but until the BT stereo issues are fixed I won't buy them.
