Does anyone else find the Bluetooth signal quality to a Bluetooth Headset to be absoultely awful? Since switching to the Xda Mini S, my previously trusty Jabra BT250 now gives broken conversations, glitches, etc. causing me to have to repeat myself half the time :x
Any ideas?
Yep.. Same problem here using a Jabra JX10 Headset.
Qtek 1.6.7.1 WWE
Anyone else experiencing this as well as us, and any word from O2 on when it might be fixed and an update released?
It has rendered my Jabra headset not worth using

Just bought Plantronics m3500 bluetooth headset and have had several calls that last at various lengths before headset icon disappears and call cuts out having to maually turn call to headset... this issue sound familiar to anyone? Just curious will return/exchange item if needed. thanks in advance!!
Similar problem
I use a Plantronics m3200 with my Qtek 2020 and I experience that my headset turns off by itself. Previously, I used the headset with my Sony-Ericsson T68i without any problems.
I have heard some rumours that the 1.66.00WWE ROM is a bit buggy concerning some headsets.
Heres another really pi**ing off bug in wm5
Sometimes, it transfers the call to the bluetooth headset....but....heres what happens -
1. It just transfers the "audio" (the other person's voice) to the bluetooth headset's speaker
2. The Mic of the bluetooth headset DOESNT work
3. I could use the jasjar to speak just like i hadnt transfered the call to the bluetooth headset at all....in other words, the speaker and the mic of the jasjar are functional!
Thats really wierd, and it seems to be happening all the more often of late....is anyone else having this same problem?
I really wonder how MS could release wm5 when it has soooo many god damn many bugs....i wonder if they're even doing something about it....grrrr
thanks in advance!

I just started experiencing something similar. Every bluetooth call I make has no mic audio. This is not my bluetooth earpiece as I have used 3 different earpieces and two have no mic audio and one works fine.
The two that did not work are Motorola H700 & HS850. The one that worked was a Jabra BT800 but I lost it somewhere.
I have been using bluetooth headset for almost a year, dayly, without any problem.
Me too. That is what is so strange. I've been using my Universal for about 1 year and all of a sudden, last week, I start having this problem.
Using Nokia HS 12 w with Ivan's beta4 no such probs at all
So I have been reading many many posts about bluetooth static while on a call and the phone being very close to the headset. I have similar problems with my PDA2k.
I also carry a blackberry 7105t and the bluetooth is flawless and very clear.
With the new release of Qtek AKU2 ROM 1.30.77 1.30.176 1.09.00 WWE
Which Radio version is best for the USA and T-Mobile?
Does the Radio have "anything" to do with the Bluetooth clarity (static in the earpiece between the xda and the bt500)?
I am on the phone ALL DAY and can not hold any phone to my head so I need my bt500 to work well with whatever i buy and so this is the last thing i need to clear up before i make the purchase. Any help is appreciated. FISH
Anyone?
Seriously no one uses the Jabra bt500 - it is an AWESOME headset. You could play any sport with it in and it wont fall out and the clarity is perfect - WITH THE RIGHT PHONE.
Please someone chime in here........
FISH
The BT 500 is one of the best headsets out there, if you are getting static try re-pairing your headset.
Jabra official support will tell you that the phone should be on the same side as the headset.
If it's too bad I would try to have Jabra swap it out under warranty.
How can i repair?¿?
Thanks
You can't repair you can try to delete the partnership and then pair it again.
thanks, but it´s solved the stactic ?¿?

Hi all
Several of us are having issues with using Bluetooth Headsets successfully with the HTC Wizard. (See http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=330315 for info.)
The basic issue is the BT Mic volume is incredibly low, so people cannot hear you unless you shout directly into the mic (so you have to take the headset off your ear!).
Have you got a BT Headset working with a really good and tested microphone volume to the other caller? If so we'd like to hear from you on what make/model of headset you use.
I have the O2 Xda Mini S and have tried these headsets without success:
Jabra BT200
Jabra BT500
Carphone Warehouse generic
Imate K-JAM and no issues with :
Motorola HS850 (the mic does work but it is rather weak as per my experience and various reviews).
Labtec MobileFreedom (excellent headset and works perfectly with K-JAM and MS VC).
I am using a Plantronics 640 and it works great.
Hmm, thanks guys. Anyone using a Jabra headset with any success? Maybe it's a Jabra/Wizard incompatibility. :?

same here, with Cingular 2.25 rom.
I use a Motorola H300 I picked up for $50 at radio shack and I have never had a problem with mic volume - I have specifically asked several people and they have all said they can hear me fine. I must say that its speaker is not the loudest -- I can hear ok but if you need to be able to hear over a jackhammer or something this may not be the headset for you. All in all I would say a great headset for the price, and it just works, although it is obviously on the low end...
I am using the T-mobile 2.26 ROM...
It may be the Jabra.
I have both a Plantronics V510 and a Motorola H610 and both work beautifully.
The only problem that I have is wind.
Plantronics 320 working great
I use the Jabra BT200 with no problems at all. I've also used the Plantronics 640 but didn't like it as well but that was only a form factor issue not in its performance. I've tested it by leaving voice messages and while the sound quality is different than the built in mic it's not objectionable, just different.

Just to confirm, you're definitely using the Jabra with the Wizard? If so what version of the Wizard?
We have the problem on the O2 Xda Mini S, and have tried both ROMs v1.x and 2.x.
Try calling yourself on a landline. Do you not find the audio quieter on the Jabra, but if you take it off your ear and talk directly into the mic hole, it sounds correct?
I am using a Logitech Mobile traveler. Works great.
Weird, some of you here have the Motorola HB850 and Jabra BT200 working fine, yet we at the other thread have the issue with these devices.
Maybe it's a question of ROMs. We use either O2 v2.21.4.101 or Mr Clean v2.3 (non-UK).
What ROMs do those of you with no Bluetooth Mic issues have installed?
stock 2.25 cingular
I use a Motorola HS820 with mine and it works perfect. 8)
Stock Cingular 2.25 ROM as well.
Plantronics Voyager 510 here @ Amazon for $45.
Works beautifully and I've even been told a couple of times that I'm speaking too loudly.
I'm using the Jabra BT200 very succesfully on my MDA Vario.
It paired immediately, never had any problems and the sound is perfect on both sides.

same here - used it on several different roms too
Hi guys,
I've been scouring the web for a number of days now with no success. Was wondering if anyone is experiencing the same problem and if anyone knows if this can be fixed.
I have a HTC P3600i, with ROM 3.00.707.18 (latest ENG ROM I could find) and have been using a Jabra BT8010 (firmware 1.33) for some months with no problems on A2DP or Handsfree (even switching back and forth is ok).
Have just got myself a new Dell BH200 stereo BT headset (for better bass) and while A2DP is working pretty fine (very nice), I'm finding that I can't use the headset for incoming or outgoing calls at all.
Everytime I try doing calls, the headset icon on the phone screen disappears after 5 or so seconds, and the headset itself switches off right after.
Am hoping someone can point me to the right direction, thanks..
Well two years later
I own a Dopod C730 and lo and behold I bought a Dell BH200 and I have the exact problem descibed above. I have the latest rom and I have tried reseting the smartphone all for naught.
Well I hope someone has figured this one out at some point or else I am going to be disappointed in my new Christmas gift
Well, I gave up and sold off my BH200 already. Am back to using the Jabra BT8010.
same problem here with my HTC Touch (3452). It's really frustrating to have to remove the headset every time u have to take a call. did anyone fimd a solution to this?

I am not using touch. Mine is Asus P535. WM6
Do double pairing. 2 diffrent mode
1) Hi Fi Stereo
2) Hands free
Music would mute when the call is recieved. When you end the call the music comes back.

This didn't work for me at all, on my HTC P3600i with the Dell BH200 headset. Pairing was ok, but as soon as there was an incoming call, the Dell headset would ring, and then silence.. I'd also notice that the headset icon on my phone would disappear and the headset itself would turn off.
My Jabra BT8010 headset, on the other hand, paired just fine as both handsfree and wireless stereo device. In fact, I've ditched the BH200 and am using the BT8010 till now.
Well how come i aint see this thread . Ok now BH200 works fine and it has no issues ( as you guys should understand if it works with ASUS , NOKIA , SAMSUNG phone ).The problem is HTC's coding . It doesnt support AVRPS, thats the service which is necesary for Phone to switch to calls when received and switch back to music. Now jabra uses a different technology ... But you will have to compramise on the quality of music in BH200
( its awesome ) and more over it looks like a music head set any ways .
damn! is there any workaround? or is AVRPS hardware specific? after A2DP and AVRCP, no we have another acronym to add to the lexicon
Same problem here, tested BH200 with Universal WM6 and Touch HD, headphones switch off seemingly when they receive handsfree request.
Tested them with WM5, lo and behold, it worked. Now I wonder - how come that they work with WM5 BT stack and not with WM6? Any ideas?
Well, from what I gather, at least the good news is that AVRPS is not hardware-specific... so there should be a suitable workaround to this problem for anyone using WM6.
I bought my pair of Dell BH-200 headphones yesterday and while I'm absolutely thrilled by the perfect (at this price) sound quality when playing music, I'm rather annoyed by the fact that I have to take off my headphones every time I want to receive a call. After all, that's what a headset is for, right!?
In any case, here are the specs of my phone:
HTC Touch Elfin P3452, running an up-to-date Windows Mobile 6.1 (Onyx ROM)
I'm considering upgrading to Windows Mobile 6.5 these days to see if that would do the trick... has anyone of you guys tried the Dell headphones' headset compatibility when running WM 6.5? Going back to WM5 is definitely not a option, since I didn't quite enjoy the looks & ergonomics of that OS...
P.S.: Upgrading to WM 6.5 didn't do the trick, unfortunately So I'm pretty much stuck and I don't want to return the headphones since I really enjoy them, of course once I ignore how they don't actually function as a proper headset... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I just found this fix for the situation:
http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/...s/thread/368efd50-ce24-453a-a31c-e6747c698082
Try setting the registry value:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\UseESCO = DWORD:0

The best part is, it seems to be actually working (I'm with Touch HD with Win 6.1).
