Similar problem
I use a Plantronics m3200 with my Qtek 2020 and I experience that my headset turns off by itself. Previously, I used the headset with my Sony-Ericsson T68i without any problems.
I have heard some rumours that the 1.66.00WWE ROM is a bit buggy concerning some headsets.

I cannot get my MDAII to work with Jabra BT200.
I am using the Pocket BluetoothTools. Everything seems normal..the MDA bonds with the Jabra, but when I get an incoming call or switch to BT mode I hear nothing from the headset and all sound continues to come from the MDA's speaker.??

You've probably found the answer by now but I had the same problem today and its because there is a separate headset option to the bluetooth on/off/discoverable. If the headsets not on, then there's no link
Hi Guys,
Any suggestion which are the best BT headsets to with caller display to go with Universal.
Thanks.
There is another thread on this subject.
I had previously recommended the Jabra BT800 but I found today that it works okay when in the car or in a room (home/office) but when I try to use it outside I found the signal was weak between the JJ and the Jabra. I had the same problem three years ago with my SE P800 - so not sure where the problem is the JJ hardware or the BT software.
Some users seem more successful with Plantronics than Jabra or SE headsets.
Heres another really pi**ing off bug in wm5
Sometimes, it transfers the call to the bluetooth headset....but....heres what happens -
1. It just transfers the "audio" (the other person's voice) to the bluetooth headset's speaker
2. The Mic of the bluetooth headset DOESNT work
3. I could use the jasjar to speak just like i hadnt transfered the call to the bluetooth headset at all....in other words, the speaker and the mic of the jasjar are functional!
Thats really wierd, and it seems to be happening all the more often of late....is anyone else having this same problem?
I really wonder how MS could release wm5 when it has soooo many god damn many bugs....i wonder if they're even doing something about it....grrrr
thanks in advance!

I just started experiencing something similar. Every bluetooth call I make has no mic audio. This is not my bluetooth earpiece as I have used 3 different earpieces and two have no mic audio and one works fine.
The two that did not work are Motorola H700 & HS850. The one that worked was a Jabra BT800 but I lost it somewhere.
I have been using bluetooth headset for almost a year, dayly, without any problem.
Me too. That is what is so strange. I've been using my Universal for about 1 year and all of a sudden, last week, I start having this problem.
Using Nokia HS 12 w with Ivan's beta4 no such probs at all
Does anyone know which bluetooth carkits work without problems in combination with the Hermes/TyTN?
With the Parrot CK3000 Evolution I have now, I have the known problems with the Bluetooth turning itself of on the Hermes/TyTN.
I switched to the Parrot when I had an Magician/MDA Compact and a Nokia CK-7W and that combination had an awful amount of echo for the other party. The Parrot didn't have the echo, but I had to reset my MDA Compact quite often to get it to work properly.
I wouldn't mind getting something else again, but which one? Is there a bluetooth Carkit out there that works as it is supposed to with the TyTN?
Hi SomeJoe
There seem to be mixed reports on this - and it has been discussed previously:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=276272&highlight=bluetooth
It seems that a "true" TyTn has issues, whereas Orange and others do not - most likely better ROM/BT?
Irrespective, try going into menu when making/receiving a call and selecting "Turn handsfree off". This seems to reset the headset profile and turns the audio on. Easy for outgoing, fiddly when answering incoming but manageable until the perky ROM update (hopefully) fixes it
Thanks for the reply, but knowing T-Mobile it might be a while before firmware updates show up.
Can anyone name specific brand and types of carkits that they have good experiences with?
I’m running the official HTC (Dutch) Windows Mobile 6 version on the HTC X7500.
I’m using a Motorola HT820 Stereo Bluetooth headset to listen to music by A2DP.
I’m using a Jabra BT5010 Bluetooth headset for voice calls.
Voicecalls with the BT5010 are no problem at all. Listening to music with the Motorola headset is no problem too, when the Jabra IS NOT connected (turned off) at the same time.
The Motorola stereo headset and the Jabra BT5010 can both be connected at the same time, they are even working (I can call with the Jabra and listen to music with the Motorola) but now and then the stereo music is lagging.
When it starts lagging in stereo audio playback it doesn’t seem to stop anymore. Sometimes the music continues the normal way, and sometimes the lags will come up again a few seconds later.
There are no more lags when I then shut down the Jabra headset.
Is there a way to solve this? It looks like some sort of “Bluetooth bandwith” issue since it only happens when both headsets are connected.
Please note that even though the Motorola HT820 can make voice calls too, I only checked the “Wireless Stereo” service to be used, and “Wireless headset” is only selected for the Jabra.
Adding/editing registry entries like BitPool, UseJointStereo, MaxBitPool, SampleRate and all WILL NOT resolve this problem, I’ve already tried that.
Thanks guys!!
