Hi there.
I am wanting to sell my XDAIIi, complete with TomTom Navigator 5 and my TomTom MKII SIRFIII Bluetooth GPS Receiver.
I am looking for £250 for the lot.
The XDAIIi is in mint condition. No scratches either on the case or the screen. Comes with all the bits. I.e. box, manual, cradle, charger, cables, battery ect. Also a aluminium hard case with slots for spare SD/MMC Cards. As I said, it's in perfect condition plainly because it's been in the metal case all it's life. I have hardly ever used it for it's PDA functions, hence this is why i am selling it. I have upgraded it's ROM to the latest version from the o2 website.
Another thing to mention, it is unlocked using the natty tool from this website.
Also, the TomTom Navigator 5 comes with all the discs that I bought from TomTom.com I have only registered TomTom on the XDAIIi that I am selling so it will work fine. Comes complete with all the discs for europe mapping + the application disc, manual, registration card ect.
The TomTom MKII SIRFIII Bluetooth GPS Reciever comes complete with box and all the chargers and cables.
For £250, I think it's a resonable price for something which is basically new.
If they have any questions or would like to see some pictures of any of the items.
Hope someone is interested. I would prefer to only sell it to UK People due to the high shipping costs. Unless you are willing to be a little extra to cover the costs?
Warmest Regards,
Chris
Hi everyone, just to let you know I sold the XDAIIi Tuesday morning.
Sorry I forgot to post a reply in this topic.

I am looking to purchase tom tom blue tooth GPS for my XDA II. has anyone tried this, does it work with the XDA II
It works perfectly with xda2, make sure you use the latest gps driver which is 2.09, you can then use a bluetooth gps without using any patches.
Tom tom on e bay
Has any one purchased the tom Tom blue tooth's from "uncle sams" on E bay, for use in the XDA II. Is this seller reliable? £239 for a blue tooth tom tom 4 seems cheap
Works fine on my french XDA II, I added voice messages when radar boxes are in proximity (60s ... 10s), really efficient stuff (and fun!), esp in France where brand new radars are installed everywhere - !!
i've bought mine off uncle sam....they're importers for rikaline.....worked well till my battery went flat in xda .....fast service and good support
when you say the battery went flat, does the Tom Tom bluetooth kit not include a car charger or does the one they supply not keep up with the power consumed ????????
The Tom Tom Bluetooth kit is on sale for $350

That's our co brand with Mobile Planet. I think thats a pretty good deal, not sure what the conversion is.
I need one with a UK / Europe data base.
Having researched bluetooth gps quite a bit, there is something you need to know, if the bt gps has an internal battery, you may find after a year that you have another paperweight when the battery dies. The Fortuna Gpsmart uses standard AAA batteries so wont have this problem, there are a few on the market that sell replaceable battery type gps but they are few and far between, so my advice when buying bt gps is to ask about availability of spare battery, if no replacement is available I would not buy the gps.
Where did you find the best dfeal on the fortuna & did you get it with Tom Tom 2 ??????? :?:
I got my gps from ebay, paid £80 for it, I "found" a copy of tomtom2 on overnet.
XDAII+BT GPS+TOMTOM
I bought fortuna BT clipon GPS (takes nokia cellphone batts) charge lasts for about 8 hrs, was £120 from net.
Tomtom 2 was £90 bestbuy on net.
XDAII £150 on £20/month contract from CPW.
256M sd card, £50 from net
I use dealtime/bestbuy to get keen prices, then negotiate with store there on.
Silly question this, or is it...
Does the above PDA come with GPRS built in, or does it just come with a seperate GPRS receiver.
Either way - does anyone know the specifications for the GPRS receiver as there is no point in going for this if its not up to the job?
It comes with GPRS built in and a separate receiver for the co-Pilot.
Yeah, GPRS is built in - but that has nothing to do with GPS which is what i guess you meant to say. The GPS reciever is a small (slightly larger than a match box) that sits on your parcel shelf and connect via Bluetooth.
But don't buy your Vario with Co-Pilot. I almost made this mistake. The Vario should be free without Co-Pilot (i take it you are in the UK) and then get a GPS reciever of eBay for about £30-£40 (get one with the SiRIF Star III chip) and find a copy of TomTom. You will save money and TomTom is much better than Co-pilot.
Dom,
Cheers - I made the common mistake of typing GPRS instead of GPS...
OK, this is not actually for me, its for someone who saw my XDA mini-s over the week-end and he was dead impressed. Personally, I have a Holux GPSlimhttp://www.pocketgpsworld.com/gr236.php which really fits the bill for what I need...
Hi,
I know some of you would be annoyed with me posting a topic which has been discussed on this forum but after searching a lot on this forum i could not decide whether to buy a bluetooth GPS reciever or Tomtom one?
I have tomtom software 5.21 with the maps and dont mind struggling a bit initially ( for the 1st time i mean ) to get the bluetooth GPS running with Exec but just want to ask all of those who are using their Exec with tomtom few questions.
How easy is it to use Exec with tomtom in day to day life?
Has anybody used both and what do they prefer and why?
Which GPS is the best cos i have seen few with 32 channel etc etc?
Thanx in advance!!
Jatt
I've been using TomTom on my Exec since about November last year, and to be honest, I wouldn't even consider getting a full TomTom device.
I've got a BT-77 GPS (about £45 off eBay), wired permanently on in my car (I've also got a second if I need to use it elsewhere), and had NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER getting it to work - in fact, I'm bemused at why the whole Bluetooth/GPS issue is such a big one. I simply paired the two, and set up a port - no messing about unhiding the GPS applet etc. Easy.
I've got a Brodit mount in the car - very good. I've also got a Parrot hands-free, so the Exec does everything in the car - phone and sat nav (with Traffic).
Downsides? Well, sometimes the Exec can take an age to start TomTom, but other than that, I'm struggling to think of any.
Cheers,
Steve.
Same rig as above poster (SPV m5000,Tt 5.21 & BT77 GPS receiver) but did have a little trauma with the Tomtom port problem at first  found the solution here though and now it's all good! Tomtom does suck the life out of that minuscule battery though, so a powered mount or a decent car charger are a must. As for the amount of receiver channels - the more the better (for tracking ability - look for ones with the SIRF III chip-set) i believe. Hope this helps
Thanks Oink1 and StevePritchard
I have ordered HOLOX Bluetooth GPS Reciever 32 Channel 4 TomTom from Ebay and it has SIRF III chip-set aswell.
Will let you know how it is for me
Bye
I have been using my Exec with TTN 5.21 for approaching a year now and use it with a SysOn 20 Channel SiRF Star Bluetooth GPS, brilliant piece of kit.
I wouldn't worry about the high end of GPS channel tracking as 12 - 20 suffices. The only problem that I've experienced was keeping the pairing but otherwise it works exceptionally.
Hi all,
Which software version of tomtom supports full postal code directions?
Thanks for all ur input
Bye

Hi Peeps!
I am getting TomTom for the wizard, but need a GPS device.
1) Which ones can you reccommend and where from, links would be good!
2) Does the Software show speed camera locations?
Thank You
For GPS information you should check out www.gpspassion.com for their reviews and forums.
For speed camera databases that are formatted for several popular navigation programs including TomTom look at www.pocketgpsworld.com but note that there is a (modest) charge to download.
If you have not yet settled on TomTom then do consider the alternatives that you will find referenced at gpspassion.
Hope this helps!
iBlue
I have the iBlue GPS receiver from semsons.com. I've also had the Solarious receiver from them and I prefer the iBlue....it has an auto-off feature when there is no Bluetooth connection. It's also waaay small. The reception seems to be great too....none of these devices are Hollywood where you get an instant fix the second you turn it on but this is pretty quick and has stayed locked in just fine for me.

i agree with timskrastins. i-Blue reciever has worked fine with my TomTom. got mine for £40 from Ebay.
bonus is that it is charged with a mini USB connector. you cant charge the reciever with the wizard charger but you can charge the wizard with the car charger that comes with the reciever
