Can anyone confirm Small menu (http://tillanosoft.com/ce/smenu.html) on wizard prevents NewsBreak's (http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/nw/newsbreak.htm) today plug-in running after soft reset?
i have tried with all versions of small menu, newsbreak today plug-in does not load on start-up if small menu active you must go to today settings and tap ok to load it, i have tried delay start-up setting on small menu with no luck
I briefly used SmallMenu and it did not stop NewsBreak from loading. I do run Newsbreak as a plugin in PocketBreeze, though.

Hi,
Selecting my settings option from the start menu hangs my phone. All other options (programs etc are working).
Interestingly when I tried to setup an icon in iLauncher for say my today icon it just hangs too.
I am assuming the settings folder must have got deleted/corrupted somehow.
Any ideas?

I would suggest a hard reset. Anything you do to fix the problem will not guarantee that everything works properly. Many softwares use the settings programs and/or links.
Hard reset completed and appears to be working fine. Time will tell if it was Vito Button mapper or the registry entries I did which messed it up.
This is for you experts in XDA land that I can really trust. Just let me know if any of you have similar experiences and if anyone can give me a fix to my list.

my problems:
-No phone calls come through while on GPRS-goes straight to voicemail (Should I turn my AlwaysON tweak to always off?)
-Volume control changes to silent automatically
-After PIE cache and history set to Storage Card and cleaning up with SKTools, Internal Memory is left to 14.3mb only
-Ram left at Today screen is 13.9mb (What is taking so much process memory?) I have Agile Msgr stopped, Marsware weather is running, and that's it. This device's processor is soooooooooooooo slow!!
-sometimes tapping on start menu doesn't bring up cascading menu
-MMS does'nt send(even with settings from Cingular Rep)on this new Rom because Media Net is gone. Anyone know the settings or the reason?
----The sliding keyboard "loosens" and is not as tightly secure as it was at first. Also the backing where the camera lens is, I can feel is starting to loosen too.
--When pressing Messaging Hardware button, message function lags before appearing or sometimes doesn't appear at all. Tapping on Today screen Message plugin opens the mail/message app always and fast.

Is there a way of fixing the bottom bar on the screen? I have ticked the option but no joy.
When I have a number of appointments and tasks due which are on the today screen a scroll bar appears and the LG icons will scroll with the rest of the info.
Have you installed Spacer? It forces a blank space on the display and so the LG plugin does not scroll down.... See the specs here

Yeah I have spacer2 installed and tried various spacer heights, tried fixed and unfixed location but once the scrollbar is required by the number of items on the today screen the LG icons scroll also.
I tried reinstalling spacer2 but same problem. Incidently I installed everything in the same order as is indicated in the original thread.
In what order should LG buttons and spacer2 be when ticked as items to appear on the Today screen? I tried the LG buttons at the top under HTC Home but still scrolls. I've unticked spacer2 aswell but still no change.
Does spacer2 work ticked or unticked because neither seems to make a difference. Would this indicate that spacer2 is not working properly?

I suggest to go to the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items in the registry and go to "LG Buttons" there change the value of "Type" to 5 then lg buttons will be fixed at the top of the all scrolling today items.
Sorry to be off topic, but is there a way to customize what is on the plug in tabs, like if I wanted to add Oera instead of IE?

I have a problem with a scroll bar now on the whole today screen. I had installed the 6 tabs today screen. I then installed the LG ks320 plugin. I then tried the spb mobile shell which I removed but now I have a scroll bar on the full today screen. I removed the LG plugin but still the same and re-installed it with no change. I did a soft reset each time.
You changed more the LGbuttons in registry.
Go and search for all your changes in regestry in Today\Items key

LG buttons is no longer in the registry as i have removed the lg plugin but i looked at the registery after i reinstalled the lg plugin and the value of Type was 4. I originally had changed it to 5 as you had advised which worked fine but now i just am trying to get back to that stage after removing spb shell because i like the lg plugin. Reinstalling lg didn't work, it put the lg buttons on top of the today screen and everything underneath it scrolls. I removed lg again. Thanks for your help NikMel

I have recently installed TomTom on my HD. I moved some files around and now my tomtom icon doesn't display.
If I go into start programs it displays fine and it displays fine in the touchflo programs tab, but under the start menu where you get your last 5 opened programs it displays as an app window (blue top bar blank window) same in the touchflo all programs scroll menu.
I'm very confused is there a regostry setting that tells the start menu or touchflo where the icon is, or does anyone have any ideas?

Just installed a few bits and pieces yesterday and (subsequently uninstalled a few of them) and have noticed the little drop down arrow in the top bar (on the far right) is missing.
I dont know what it's called, but it gives you a list of all running programs and allows you to switch to a program that has been backgrounded.

I must admit, I have been playing around with various settings and had to turn TouchFLO off in the "Today Screen" settings menu in order to get WAD to run in a semi acceptable fashion. Has that screwed me?
