Hi all,
Trying to get Hitchhiker, and WiFiFoFum onto my O2 XDA Exec. The pre-requisite for these applications is Microsoft's .NET Compact Framework 2.0. However, when attempting to the install this, I receive the following error message on the device, "Installation error. Stop all applications and processes, maximze[sic] available storage space and run installation again. Support Info: 4."
Has anyone encountered this before?

i remember summat going bit wrong when i installed it last month on my MdaPro... think it was down to low memory... soft reset the device then try again..
I got that trying to install wififofum this morning, soft reset & tried again & it jumped straight to life.
(Of course, I had to update .Net for my pc so that i could get the compact one to consider installing)
That worked for me too. Odd one, but cool now

Hi, I installed .Net 3.5 last night and it worked first time. I got the cab from the Modaco forums (don't have the link to hand but search in google and you'll find it. Download that and the Net config tool and this will allow you to set 3.5 as the default without using a reg editor which is why I did it this way and it works like a charm. You can also set application policies to use either 2 or 3.5 which has removed an error I was receiving with the HD Mini lockscreen. Only thing is the Modaco cab installs a link to something called Ap to date which I just deleted from the Start menu and all is well.

Hi,
Thank you for your info. But as I am beginner , I do not understand the procedures. I got the file "NetCFSetupv35.msi" from Microsoft but there is no mention of a "Net config tool" in the installation procedure.
I want to install this Net CF because it is requested by 2 applications I would like on my HD2.

- Android SDK installed on PC.
- USB driver installed.
- started "CMD" and give command:
fastboot boot cm-recovery-1.4.img
- Now I've maked a nandroid backup.
- Connected to USB and copy nandroid map to my PC.
- Formatted sdcard.
- Placed cm-recovery-1.4.img and update.zip to my SDcard.
- Started fastboot on my Magic.
- fastboot boot cm-recovery-1.4.img
- Wipe/reset factory.
- Apply update.zip.
Now my phone is doing the update and says everything is OK. When the update finisched I press restart. On startup only the Vodafone logo displayed. After 30 minutes only logo.
Whats going wrong?
I've read something about wrong spl package? Someone know this issue?
Also when I do the command adb devices there are no device found. When I check my Device manager on the PC I see an Android Phone and the drivers where installed correctly.

Rooting HTC Magic on OSX
I am so confused. I'm using Mac OSX and I think I followed everything that needs to be done based on the guide found on Full Update Guide - G1/Dream/Magic32A Firmware to CyanogenMod. But when I get to step 5 under Installation, I'm "command not found" error on Terminal. I hope there's a step-by-step or screen-by-screen tutorial on this, starting from installing the SDK. Sigh
Did you flash the DRC83_defanged.zip first? You need that for CM4 ROMs.

I haven't heard about CM9/CM10.1 breaking compatibility with a TV, but you do lose the ability to use the Q for it's original function (stream Google Music/YouTube from another android device, change the LED lights etc.) I installed the CM 10.1 nightly build and I'm able to use XBMC on my old Vizio TV without any problems.
Not 100% sure about your specific error, but it seems like XMBC just doesn't have a language pack that matches the locale / language you have set in Android and it's not falling back to English. Are you using the latest XBMC for Android from the site?
