If i remove all of the o2 active software on my phone wil I invalidate the warranty?
NO
all you are doing is a hard reset and choosing not to install everything.
If at any point you want it back to the O2 default, just hard reset again and leave it to install all its junk

i am not expertised on this matter but:
- did you unlock your device?
- have you tried other roms?
- did you hard reset manually it?

hard reset manually will help, then you try to upgrade.

Just a quick question on the Factory Resset or Hard Reset. If I do this on my HD2 will I have to re-install all of the patches/updates such as the SMS, Video (pink) SIM card etc which are offered on the HTC web sites? The same question for the ROM update (theres a new 1.66 avaialbe), do I have re-install all of the other updates after installing the new ROM?
Thanks
Kym
Firstly yes, a hard reset deletes EVERYTHING. Its back as it was when you bought it.
When you bought it, you then had to install the updates.
Secondly, nope. Unless it says its for that ROM. i.e. an update from rom 1.48 and below is not needed if you load 1.66.
An update for 1.66 and below, then yes.
Had a orange UK galaxy S II. There were problems with the audio, so i tried changing the original BVKE2 firmware to the generic KE7 and KF3 to see if it would fix it. It didn't really work, so now i need to send it back to samsung. I found the original Orange UK KE2 firmware here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14502681 and flashed that back onto my phone. The PDA and PHONE numbers match up with the original but the CSC number is different. Does this matter and will any of this voided my warranty? and should i do anything else before i send it back to make sure that the warranty is fine? I have not rooted my phone or messed around with anything like that.
Thanks, (i need a quick reply)
Do a hard reset of the device by inputting *2767*3855# in the dialpad and then flash the same firmware again.
When you say the CSC don't match up do you mean it's not showing as ORAKE2?
Turn off your phone and restart in download mode (on+ volume down+ home) what does the download counter say, is it still a 0? If not your warranty is voided. I would to be sure just buy a jig and use it to reset the download counter, they are pretty cheap (6-7 euros inc shipping) and always handy to have
Hello. Thanks in advance for your help.
(Oh! Sorry for my bad English, not my native language)
My galaxy s5 phone (Samsung SM-G900F) is having problems with the camera, because when the application suddenly appears a message saying "connection error" and does not allow to use it. So I reset the phone to work again.
I thought maybe by installing a newer version of the ROM version would work (my operator no update at that time), so I downloaded the latest version without carrier.
However, the problem occurs again. So I want to take your phone to the warranty offered by my carrier, but I must erase traces of flashes, because otherwise I will not get the phone to warranty.
How I can reset the flash counter knox without altering the warranty void?
At this time, the device is unroot. But in the download mode, the number of flash appears.
Thanks for the help.

So will the company respect that it is a hardware problem and Support the warranty, or not because of the counter?
I don't know what happens in this case, that's why I ask..
Thanks,

As you live in Europe warranty even after rooting is still valid, unless Samsung can prove that rooting caused the defect. This is a European law for protecting consumers.

Right now I have 0x0 Knox Warranty Void.
I want to reset the flash counter only ..
I know I can root with Towelroot. I know I can reset the counter with triangle away. But I do not know if using triangle away will tripping knox warranty void 0x1.
Doesn't the Knox Counter 0xsomething indicate if the device has been flashed? If it's 0x0, your warranty is still there and you don't have to worry.

There will never ever be a way to reset the Knox counter. It is what it is and move on with your life
Hi
i have a SMT-530 which i first used kingoroot and rooted, and now i cant make a factory reset because of that i tripped Knox(?) or something, but . i cant use the factory reset in the menu or the hard reset.
I tried flashing new Stock, and it finishes without any problems, but then the tab just start where it was before i stated the flash.
Any ideas?
And it states KNOX WARRANTY VOID.
IS this reversible at all?
