By default photos are saved in main memory. Is there anyway to set up the wizard to save photos in a mem. card folder?
Thank you
Basic :
Start camera
Click the Settings/Tools icon
Click Tools
Select Options...
open the General tab
Save to: *tadaaaa*
... i tried this
... but: i can only save to "main memory" or "extrom". Save to "storage card" does not appear.
... but: storage card appears on explorer and can be read...
:x
Why?
If extended rom is visible, try hiding it again.

Has anyone experience this? In the Camera option where I get to choose which folder to save pictures to, the drop down menu only offers "Main memory" and "Ext Rom2". The Storage Card doesn't show up. I know about the dopod and missing SD card issue, but my file explorer is able to recognize there's a storage card in place. I tried soft reseting, but the option still doesn't show up. Anyone experienced this before or can offer a possible solution? Better yet, does anyone know of a way to "relock" the Ext Rom2 folder? Now that I extracted the rom files, I don't really need to have this folder unlocked since it doesn't allow me to write to it, so it's just sitting there taking up space. Now I think it may be causing problems and may have something to do with the missing "Storage Card" option in the drop down menu.

Try this reg hack
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Camera\Image\Saveto
Change 0 to 1
Must soft reset.
Thanks sas. I haven't tried your hack, but I managed to find a hack to re-lock the Ext Rom folder. Now the camera option allows me to save in the Storage card again. I guess the camera could only see 2 folders, so it just omitted the Storage Card while Ext Rom was around.
Just somewhere this last weekend, my TyTn refused to store images taken with the camera on/to the storagecard. I cannot select the storagecard thru the capture-settings.
The storage-card is accesible thru the explorer without any trouble.
Very strange. Have searched the forum, but cannot find a solution, my ext. Rom is hidden. So, anyone experienced the same problem.
I do run Schaps 3.54c

When in the camera application what two locations does it offer you as save locations?
Did you enable the Network Folder? If so see here:
Usually the camera only asks about storage card when you have just inserted a new card OR you have the "network" folder enabled.
Now unfortunately the camera is only capable of saving to one of two locations at any one time so:
If the view network folder is NOT enabled you will be offered:
"Main" or Storage card" and once set it will remember your choice and not ask again.
BUT
with Network folder enabled and a storage card inserted you will:
be asked if you want to use "StorageCard" every time you start Camera, but in camera tools you will only be offered "Main" or "Network" even if you chose the card. It will not set to storage card even if you said you wanted this when camera started.
So, if you want to use main memory with a storage card inserted and don't want the silly question about using storage card each time, then you must disable the network folder. (Use Resco or File Commander to do this - forget now if regukar File Explorer does it)
Equally if you want to save to storage card you will also need "network" folder disabled otherwise it will save to Main memory even when you say yes to Storage Card on start up of application.
The default setting for the Network folder is disabled, so if you are having problems it is likely to have been enabled by using the likes of Resco or Total Commander.

Thanks !!
Thanks Mike Channon...it worked very well !!!
how can i setup htc album to read from storage card?
[Pictures from camera goes to storage card...]
Help Please
please , someone ...
=\ bump ...
I really need this , i think there some registry edit for this ...
Have you tried creating a My Pictures folder in the My Documents folder on your SD card and then changing the dropdown in the upper right hand corner to Storage device?
What version of album are you using ?? I downloaded the version from here - and have no issues, automatically picks up the pics off of the sd card
Check out the attached thread - and see what versions are available

Good luck
well, actually im quite experienced in flashing, bricking and restoring back ;P my prophet, but.. i really blank about "inside" things..
usually in the camera save to, i used to have 3 options, which were main memory, network (i don't know where it came from but i hope its the ext rom which detected as a storage too) and storage card, but now the storage card option is gone.. so now i only could save camera pictures to main memory, and have to move them manually to storage card..
anybody know how to restore it back or there's a tweak on reg or sumthin?
i've restart, soft reset, plug out and back in the storage card.. but i dont want to hard reset..
its not the storage card, my sd is fine on other ppc or card reader.. the option still gone even i put a brand new sd card..
Try disable Bluetooth Explorer if you got that activated. Options > Connections > Bluetooth > FTP
thx 4 answer, but i dont have it in this rom.. only bluetooth and no FTP thingy.. i seldom activate bluetooth btw.. any other suggestion?
you have to disable network folder at : Settings > Connection > Network Plugin > and uncheck "Enable Network Foler"
That's it!!
because i have same problem too..
